Is that Siesta Beach Public or Private on N Shell Rd Sarasota County Commissioners May Judge Access.

Image
Herald Tribune writes SIESTA KEY – Signs on Siesta Beach are popping up all over the place. Resort owners, condo owners and others have the same message for beachgoers: “ DO NOT TRESPASS .” In recent months, the inboxes of Sarasota County commissioners have flooded with emails from concerned residents – some of whom are worried these signs are either illegal or are infringing on ' public beach access ". Elected officials signaled they may weigh in on the issue. A lot of the problems arise out of the tiny Siesta Key Beach Access #1 at 3940 N. Shell Road Sarasota, FL 34242. The small beach access at #1 is not set up to handle a lot of cars and trucks, parking in front of property owners homes is scarce. JUST SAY NO NANCY REAGAN CLAIMED IN 1982, CRAZY JOE ROLLS OUT THE FREE CRACK PIPES IN 2022, LOL! Reports of a new Biden administration grant program has drawn widespread criticism for its efforts to reduce the spread of disease by providing crack pipes at taxpayer expense. It specifically outlines syringes and “safe smoking kits/supplies including glass crack pipes” as an approved use of federal funds. “The purpose of the program is to support community-based overdose prevention programs, syringe services programs, and other harm reduction services,” the grant said. Actor Tommy Chong, famous for such movies as "Up in Smoke" with longtime partner Cheech Marin was sent to prison in 2003 for distributing thousands o...

From 2 days ago Feb 1st, 2022— An opinion in a federal claims court case may pave way for Sarasota County to pay landowners in Legacy Trail right-of-way ownership dispute along CSX railroad tracks. Mark F. “Thor” Hearne II, an attorney with St. Louis-based True North Law, has taken the adversarial track in negotiations. He has contended that the federal funds only pay for the right to establish the recreational trail and Sarasota County’s claim for additional use – including forcing landowners to demolish encroaching properties that, in some cases have included septic system drainage fields – requires additional compensation. That echoes the position taken by the federal government. (photo credit Bill Warner Investigations Facebook Jan 3rd 2017 ).  HERALD TRIBUNE WRITES : Residents along Legacy T...
