Omani Muslim terrorist co-pilot Hamam al-Hammami tries to take down Flydubai's flight FZ1073 a Boeing 737 Max jet with 174 people on board headed to Israel, with PM Netanyahu saying "almost all" passengers were Israeli. Flydubai's flight FZ1073 took off from Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates at 03:05 GMT (07:05 local time) en route to Ben-Gurion Airport in Israel. According to ABC, the suspect was “cooperating” with investigators, and had suggested to them that he intended to crash the plane in Israel. Quoting sources briefed on the investigation, ABC reported : “Hamam al-Hammami has indicated that his intent was to crash the aircraft in Israel.” According to a CNN report, a LinkedIn profile bearing al-Hammami's name showed that he worked for Oman Air for about seven years before leaving the airline in February 2025.
