New Gun Law HB 1509 Bill for Private Investigative & Security Services in Florida Goes Into Effect July 1st 2022, will allow Private Investigators to Carry a Concealed Firearm with only a CWP. Effect of the Bill, The bill allows private investigator licensees who do not have a Class "G" statewide firearm license to bear a firearm if the licensee has a license to carry concealed firearms issued pursuant to s. 790.06, F.S. Firearms are not permitted to be carried openly at any time by private investigators. The bill HB 1509 reduces the requirement to obtain a Class "G" Statewide Firearm License to carry a concealed weapon just about everyplace in the State of Florida for a private investigator or security officer.
