The Al Haramain Islamic Foundation (AHIF), based in Saudi Arabia, was a prominent NGO with deep links to the Saudi government, including the Ministry of Islamic Affairs (MIOA), before being dissolved following international accusations of funding terrorism.  The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs (Imams) was an international spy agency that supported al-Qaeda in the US prior to the September 11th, 2001 terror attacks.
