The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is advising the public that Clarence Jay Fry, DOB 10/23/52, has registered as a Sexual Offender temporarily living in Sarasota County. Fry was convicted in 2011 in Michigan of Second Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct (rape) and Kidnapping.  Clarence Jay Fry was sentenced to one year of confinement (prison) followed by five years of probation. He is visiting Sarasota County and reports he will be staying at 3443 Clarinda Street in Sarasota. Fry is not currently under the supervision of the Florida Department of Corrections, and because the offense occurred out of state, residency restrictions do not apply.
