Fatwa: Iran’s most senior clerics have called for the assassinations of President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declaring a  Fatwa on the leaders as they are "mahdour al-dam" or deserving of death. The 88-member Assembly of Experts issued a 10-point statement in which they said killing “the wicked prime minister of the Zionist regime” and “the criminal American president” was a religious duty (Fatwa) that must be carried out “under any circumstances.” The clerics — who are constitutionally tasked with choosing and supervising the supreme leader — wrote that the call for their assassinations that avenging the death of supreme leader Ali Khamenei was of “paramount” importance. “It is obligatory upon any duty-bound person who gains access to these criminals to send them to hell,” they wrote.

Iran's Senior Clerics Fatwa to kill Trump and Netanyahu is a formal legal ruling or interpretation on a point of Islamic law issued by an authorized Islamic scholar (mufti). While fatwas generally address daily religious practices, some are highly controversial edicts that declare the targeting of specific individuals or groups a religious duty. The signatories thanked Iranian negotiators but warned them to learn from what they called the failures of previous talks, adding that observing Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei's red lines was a religious obligation and that violating them was "not permissible under any circumstances." In one of its most inflammatory passages, the statement called for those responsible for Ali Khamenei's killing, including the US president and Israeli prime minister, to be punished, saying anyone with access to them had a religious duty to kill them.
