Once Upon A Time in Hollywood: Bruce Mcgregor Davis the Enforcer for Charles Manson Family and Zodiac Killer on Manson’s Orders.

Once Upon A Time in Hollywood: Bruce Mcgregor Davis the Enforcer for Charles Manson Family and Zodiac Killer on Manson’s Orders. Charles Manson wrote the coded messages called cryptograms letters as the Zodiac to The San Francisco Examiner and other newspapers. 636 Cole Street was Charles Manson's place in Haight-Ashbury CA. Charles Manson lived at 636 Cole St. San Francisco in 1967, about 2 1/2 miles from the San Francisco Examiner Newspaper. Charles Manson was well-known figure in the Haight, where he sought to recruit runaway hippie girls into his gang. Manson "family" got its start during the Summer of Love in San Francisco.

The Summer of Love & Manson was a social phenomenon that occurred during the summer of 1967, when as many as 100,000 people, mostly young people sporting hippie fashions of dress and behavior, converged in San Francisco's neighborhood of Haight-Ashbury. There were too many cults in town to compete with at the time, so Manson moved his members to Southern California and Spahn Ranch in April 1968 where they would soon gain infamy. Spahn Ranch is notorious for having been the primary residence of Charles Manson and his followers, the “Manson Family,” for much of 1968 and 1969.

The Zodiac murdered five known victims in the San Francisco Bay Area between December 1968 and October 1969, operating in rural, urban and suburban settings. Included among the Zodiac letters to the media were four ciphers or cryptograms. The 'Debut of Zodiac' letter was received by the San Francisco Examiner newspaper on August 4th 1969, who immediately turned it over to the Vallejo Police. Former cult member Catherine 'Gypsy' Share, who served five years in jail for her involvement in the cult, said at the time that Manson was trying to send the cult secret coded messages in his speech. She said: "He's programming us, telling us what to do. Charles Manson actually had an IQ of 121. He was tested by prison psychologists.

Side by side comparison of Zodiac cypher sent to newspapers and a Charles Manson music score which contain some identical block figures, letters, and numbers all written in the same fashion. "The murder in Riverside of Cheri Jo Bates on October 30, 1966 and the murder of Cecilia Shepherd on September 27, 1969 at Lake Berryessa show that the victims were stabbed savagely and repeatedly – the act of a butcher. These murders were similar to the slaying of Charles Manson’s uncle in London and in the Sharon Tate murders – a knife was the weapon of choice by the murderer. Now consider that when Bruce Davis, a member of the Charles Manson Family, was arrested in Southern California law enforcement found the hood, weapons and other evidence linking Davis to those two murders. He has always remained the top suspect in the London murder, as well. Because the District Attorney in Southern California had an open and shut case on Davis for two unrelated “Zodiac” murders, the DA decided not to raise the issue of the other murders or the Zodiac issue for fear of complicating the case. After two San Francisco detectives went to Southern California and were confronted with the “Zodiac” evidence, they returned to the Bay Area and announced that they were no longer investigating the “Zodiac” case."

Zodiac and Bruce Davis same height, both 5' 8" tall. Bruce Davis AKA: Bruce McMillan, George McGregor, Jack Paul. DOB: 10/05/42. Prisoner ID: B41079. Prison: San Quentin. The legend of the Zodiac/Manson cover-up continues to spread and convince more believers. Private investigator Bill Warner posted several sensational stories under the headline grabber: “Bruce Mcgregor Davis Enforcer for the Manson Family and Zodiac Killer on Charles Manson’s Orders.” Though only charged with two murders, Charles Manson claims to have committed 35 and some authorities think even that may be an understatement. "Charles Manson Family" at Spahn Ranch Simi Valley, CA. PI Bill Warner retells the Davis - Zodiac connection. 1974…According to an Assistant DA for LADA’s Office, word had it that a male member of the Charles Manson Family was the Zodiac Killer, he was Bruce Davis second in command in the Manson family. Bruce Davis has an FBI file and a secret report done by the State Dept in 1970 about his activities in Great Britain, It was requested by the LAPD, he also has a file in CA CII, it is “sealed.”

Attorney Vincent Bugliosi denied that he had ever been “exposed” to evidence presented by Davis “piece at a time” until Bugliosi “changed his mind” and came to believe that a Zodiac/Manson connection was “possible.” In his book THE FAMILY, author Ed Sanders wrote that authorities had investigated a possible connection between Manson and the Zodiac and discovered black, hooded ceremonial robes during a search of property used by the Manson family. A book on the subject of Davis as Zodiac, THE ZODIAC/MANSON CONNECTION by Howard Davis, is available at amazon.com.

After high school Davis attended college in Tennessee for about 2 years, then dropped out and moved west he held a variety of jobs in his younger days as a metal worker, he became immersed in the hippy counter culture in
Haight-Ashbury CA. In the west, Davis made a living doing construction work and in 1967, ran into Charles Manson, Mary Brunner, Lynette Fromme, & Patricia Krenwinkel. Manson liked having another man around, plus Charlie and Bruce had a few things in common. Like Manson, Davis was a good musician, had an interest in Scientology, and was an ex-con. Davis became involved and living in the commune headed by Charles Manson in Topanga Canyon. He also had a on again off again common-law wife Nancy Pitman in 1968 who was a devout follower of Charles Manson. The people listed in this commune were Susan Atkins, Steve Grogan, and Robert Beausoliel.

All of these people were devout followers of Charles Manson and subsequently arrested in the Tate/Labianca murders, Gary Hinman Murder and Donald (shorty Shea) murder. All are incarcerated to this day except Steve Grogan who was released under the cover of darkness after serving 17 years. He told where the body of Donald Shorty Shea was buried and Shea was recovered in 1979 and the autopsy showed that he had not been decapitated as the Manson family wanted the world to believe. He was released in 1986. Grogan also was convicted in the Gary Hinman Murder as well and has lived a crime free life since.

The 1988 edition of THE FAMILY featured an update in which former Inyo County District Attorney Frank Fowles revealed his suspicion that the Manson and Zodiac crimes were somehow connected. On page 406 (paperback edition), author Ed Sanders wrote: I was surprised at the possible link between Zodiac and M (Manson). Fowles said he was very interested because the string of Zodiac killings first came to light in Vallejo, California. “I was deputy district attorney in Solano, County. The sheriff’s investigator in the first Zodiac-Vallejo killings was a good friend of mine.” Zodiac made of his taunting phone calls within line of sight of Frank Fowles office window. Manson, said Fowles, “came from the Bay Area around the time of Zodiac. There were unsolved murders up in the coastal region up around Mendocino County.” And then there was the connection with the English satanic society, which was active in the Bay Area at the time Manson was there in 1967, and other connections that, in the words of Mr. Fowles, “made it worth looking into.”

Confessed killer and Manson devotee Susan “Sadie” Atkins sold her confession while behind bars, and her statements appeared in a sensational paperback book. Atkins even agreed to testify against the other members of the family, including Manson, in exchange for a lighter sentence, but prosecutors later withdrew the deal. Tried alongside accomplices Leslie Van Houten and Patricia Krenwinkel, Atkins joined Manson for the “trial of the century.” Family member Linda Kasabian turned witness for the prosecution and helped Deputy District Attorney Vincent Bugliosi to win convictions and death sentences for all four defendants. Another jury convicted and sentenced co-conspirator and cold-blooded killer Charles “Tex” Watson in a separate trial. Watson’s confession and claims of Christian rebirth appeared in the book, WILL YOU DIE FOR ME?

Bruce Davis turned himself in to authorities on 12-2-1970 and has been incarcerated ever since. He was charged with two counts of murder and one count of conspiracy to commit murder and robbery. A jury convicted him on all counts. The murder of Donald Shea (AKA Shorty) and musician Gary Hinman was really tragic. Shorty Shea, was a bit actor and stuntman in the movie industry. Shorty was also was a ranch hand on the Spahn Ranch and that's where he met the Manson family and soon met his own demise at the hands of the Manson family. Ruby Pearl had worked at Spahn ranch for 18 years and had known Shea for 15 years. Shorty was getting excited about being in a movie and he wanted to stay with her, but she had no place for him except a shed and he did not want to do that. As Pearl was talking to Shorty one day and she drove away she saw a car come up the road quickly and saw Manson, Grogan, Beausoliel, and Tex Watson get out of the car and they all approached Shorty and he was in the middle and she never saw Shorty again. It was at this time the police surmised that Shorty was murdered.

Barbara Hoyt a prosecution witness testified that late one night in the latter part of Aug1969 when she was going to sleep that she heard screaming. She heard many loud screams coming form down by the creek, and she recognized the screams as coming from Shorty Shea and she never saw him again and she also helped pin-point the time of death. Watson, Manson, Grogan, Beausoliel all told Shorty that they had something to show him. And he got in the car with them and they drove down the road and hit him in the head with a lead pipe in the car and pulled him out of the car and started stabbing him and kept on stabbing him. This was all because of some more Charlie's paranoia; he thought Shorty was a SNITCH. Geoge Spahn the owner of the ranch let the family move in and take over. There was not a lot he could do as he was blind and 80 years old. Charlie made sure George was taken care of by the women of the Manson family in more ways than one.

Gary Hinman was a musician and the second victim of Bruce Davis. Gary was kept in his home for TWO DAYS and he was stabbed and clubbed before finally being put to death at the hands of the Manson family members. The autopsy established that Gary Hinman had been stabbed twice in the chest. The cause of death was a stab wound to the heart. There was also a large cut in the left side of his face through the left ear to the left lip of the mouth, which was done by a sword... Bruce has always tried to minimize his involvement in to Shorty's death and Gary Hinman's death. This is evident in all his parole hearings but the facts tell otherwise. Apparently it can't be too minimal or a jury would not have convicted him on all three counts and gave him the death penalty. Which was subsequently overturned by a vote of 5-4 in Californina State Supreme Court as unconstitutional in Nov 1972. And all the Manson family members were commuted to life with parole as we did not have life without parole in California in 1972. All Manson family members became eligible for parole starting in 1977 and have had subsequent parole hearings ever since.
