The U.S. government said the three conspired with the founder of the anti-globalization movement of Russia. They were convicted of that charge but acquitted of the more serious charge of acting as agents of a foreign government. HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — The Uhuru Three and their supporters walked out of federal court chanting, “not one day. Not one dime.” This comes two years after the FBI raided the Uhuru house in St. Petersburg. That raid led to the arrest of founder Omali Yeshitela, members Penny Hess and Jesse Nevel.

Among other conduct, the superseding indictment alleges that the Russian defendants recruited, funded and directed U.S. political groups to act as unregistered illegal agents of the Russian government and sow discord and spread pro-Russian propaganda; the indicted intelligence officers, in particular, participated in covertly funding and directing candidates for local office within the United States.

Moreover, from at least November 2014 until July 2022, Ionov allegedly engaged in a years-long foreign malign influence campaign targeting the United States. As a part of the campaign, Ionov allegedly recruited members of political groups within the United States, including the African People’s Socialist Party and the Uhuru Movement (collectively, the APSP) in Florida, Black Hammer in Georgia and a political group in California (referred to in the superseding indictment as U.S. Political Group 3), to participate in the influence campaign and act as agents of Russia in the United States, including the following indicted defendants: 1). Omali Yeshitela, (ex-con Joe Waller) a U.S. citizen residing in St. Petersburg, Florida, and St. Louis, Missouri, who served as the chairman and founder of the APSP, he is former Black Panther member.
2). Penny J. Hess, a U.S. citizen residing in St. Petersburg, Florida, and St. Louis, Missouri, she served as the leader of a component of the APSP;
3). Jesse Nevel, a U.S. citizen residing in St. Petersburg, Florida, and St. Louis, Missouri, who served as a member of a component of the APSP;
4). Augustus C. Romain Jr., aka Gazi Kodzo, a U.S. citizen residing in St. Petersburg, Florida, and Atlanta, who served as a leader of the APSP and a founder of Black Hammer in Georgia.

One focus of Ionov’s alleged influence operation was to create the appearance of American popular support for Russia’s annexation of territories in Ukraine. For example, in May 2020, Ionov allegedly sent a request he stated was from “Russia, the Donetsk People’s Republic” – an apparent reference to a Russian-occupied region in eastern Ukraine – to Yeshitela and members of other U.S. political groups to make statements in support of the independence of the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic, a Russian-backed breakaway state in eastern Ukraine. Ionov later allegedly touted to the FSB that Yeshitela’s video-recorded statement of support was the first time that “American nonprofit organizations congratulated citizens” of the occupied region.

Apparently the Russian Govt was financing a local UHURU candidate for City Council of St Pete in 2017. Gee I wonder who that was? “We can have relationships with whoever we want to make this revolution possible,” said Eritha “Akile” Cainion, later adding, “We are in support of Russia.” Omali Yeshitela, a longtime leader of the St. Petersburg Uhuru Movement, said he and his wife were handcuffed and taken out of a home in St. Louis at gunpoint Friday morning. Many innocent people who have escaped the Uhuru Organization have been mentally scarred even to the point of suicide. Omali Yeshitela and his UHURU organization have a long track record of mentally abusing, scamming, harassing, and slumlording, the very people they say they fight for, the poor Black.

The FBI confirmed its raid Friday morning at the headquarters of the Uhuru Movement in St. Petersburg is connected to the alleged conspiracy. Agents carried out a court-authorized warrant at the Uhuru House, located at 1245 18th Ave. S., which is the Florida-based headquarters of a Black international socialist group. They were seen carrying out unidentified boxes for hours. The Uhuru House is home to the Uhuru Movement, which is part of the African People's Socialist Party, according to The Associated Press. 60′s Radical Penny Hess Leader of Omali Yeshitela’s APSC In St Pete Writes “The bullet not the ballot is the best way for the black man in America to gain power”. The African Socialist Party’s ultimate aim, however, is worldwide socialist revolution and the “onward progress of communism” to liberate black people everywhere.

Bubba Clem and his co-hosts called on the FBI to investigate and shut down the Uhuru Movement. “The Mayor should be going to speak to the FBI,” said one of Clem’s co-hosts. They also called on the IRS to investigate the Uhuru Movement’s financial records. After playing the clip of the Chairman speaking, Clem said, “Wouldn’t you just love it if the boys rolled up during one of these little meetings and they just cuffed and stuffed him?”  Chairman Omali Yeshitela went on to speak on our “communist core” as a Party. He said “communism is the destruction of a social system built on exploitation.”

“Private Investigator” Participates in Campaign of Attack Against Uhuru Movement. It has also come to the attention of Uhuru News that a private investigator named Bill Warner has been spying on the Uhuru Movement. Warner is based in Sarasota, FL and runs a blog to document his work as a private investigator. In the past week, Warner (who you can learn more about here) has posted a blog entry about the Uhuru Movement at least once a day, including personal details about the leadership of the African People’s Socialist Party. 

On the day before the Sunday community meeting at the Uhuru House, referenced in the above mentioned LEOAffairs post, PI Bill Warner photographed the Uhuru House with a police car sitting right outside and posted it to his blog indicating his role in working with the police in the attack on the movement. Fifty five terrorists were reported killed over the course of three days of strikes in Yemen in late April 2018, "good shooting boys". Two American citizens, cleric Anwar al-Awlaki and Samir Khan both directly linked to Al-Qaeda as core members and propagandists for the terrorist playbook 'Inspire Magazine', were killed in a combined joint operation drone strike of NSA, CIA and DOD in Yemen on Sept 11, 2011. December 15, 2024; FOX 5 has received video of what viewers believe are drones the size of SUVs flying over Bowie, Maryland. Bowie Police say they started getting calls about large drones flying over the city Monday night. Several people on social media said they also saw the drones and posted videos of them. Mysterious drones now also spotted over Bowie, according to videos sent to DC News. Now by a viewer, Autumn Stasulli and her family were out trying to see Christmas lights when they spotted flashing red and green lights in the sky above her Bowie home on Monday night. “There’s a drone, they’re all over,” said Autumn Stasulli in one of the videos. Autumn Stasulli spotted three to five drones the size of SUVs in the sky emitting loud noises over Bowie MD. Bowie Md is only 16 air miles south from Fort Meade MD home to Cyber Command, NSA and a whole bunch of other Cyber clandestine organizations.

The NSA is responsible for global monitoring, collection, and processing of information and data for foreign intelligence and counterintelligence purposes, specializing in a discipline known as signals intelligence (SIGINT). 

The NSA is also tasked with the protection of U.S. communications networks and information systems. The NSA relies on a variety of measures to accomplish its mission, the majority of which are clandestine, like the Drone program. Back on Oct 12, 2024, A suspicious fleet of unidentified aircraft had been flying over Langley Air Force Base on Virginia's shoreline. U.S. Air Force Gen. Mark Kelly wasn’t sure what to make of reports that a suspicious fleet of unidentified aircraft had been flying over Langley Air Force Base on Virginia’s shoreline. Kelly, a decorated senior commander at the base, got on a squadron rooftop to see for himself. Air Force Gen. Mark Kelly told The Wall Street Journal that at least one of the drones was “roughly 20 feet long and flying at more than 100 miles an hour, at an altitude of roughly 3,000 to 4,000 feet. Other drones followed, one by one, sounding in the distance like a parade of lawn mowers.”

The total Drone flight time from Fort Meade, MD to Passaic, NJ is only 39 minutes and a 415 mile round trip. Some Military Drones have a wing span of 8 feet and can hit speeds of 500mph the same as a commercial jetliner and have a out and back range of over 7,000 miles. The base commander of a New Jersey military research center said the mysterious drones flying over the area are not theirs, but Lt. Col. Craig Bonham II said in a news release obtained by the Morristown Daily Record confirmed the sightings. This secret military drone operation is way over the pay grade of Lt. Col. Craig Bonham II.  

The Ocean County Sheriff’s office sent its own “industrial grade” drone into the air Thursday in a bid to follow one of 50 unmanned aerial vehicles a local cop saw “coming off the ocean,” Sheriff Michael Mastronardy said. “If this is not our military, then it’s even more scary,” News Nation reporter Rich McHugh said. “These things look like they are fixed-wing at 8 foot wide and they have multiple lights. I’m not really sure how to process what I saw last night. Both the photographer and I were kind of stunned.”
