According to secret documents, he was one of the few men bin Laden completely trusted and was said to be his "favorite courier and right-hand man". He sheltered and lived with bin Laden for a number of years and was killed along with him by the U.S. Naval Special Warfare Development Group on 2 May 2011.

In Jan 2000 the CIA failed to put one of the 9/11 hijackers Khalid al-Mihdhar on a watch list, he had been filmed at a meeting in Kuala Lumpur to plot the bombing of the USS Cole in Yemen on Oct 12th, 2000.

Muneer Arafat, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM), Ramzi Yousef, Abu Ghaith and Ziyad Khaleel are about the same age, 55 to 58. Abu Ghaith was a high school teacher and preacher at a mosque in Kuwait. He fought in Afghanistan, accused the U.S. government of killing children in Iraq through UN sanctions, and joined Muslim guerillas fighting in Bosnia -Herzegovina in the summer of 1994. In the late 1990s, the government banned Abu Ghaith from the mosque where he was preaching because he strayed from officially approved religious themes and preached Jihad, like Muneer Arafat. While Abu Ghaith lived in Kuwait before September 11, 2001, his mission was to recruit elements for training in bin Laden’s terror camps in Afghanistan. According to documents in the unclassified dossier from Abdull Mohssin Al Zamil's Combatant Status Review Tribunal, Kuwaiti Sulaiman Abu Ghaith was also a founder of Al Wafa al Igatha al Islamia aka 'Wafa Humanitarian Organisation', a charity that the USA asserts provided a front for al Qaeda's fund-raising efforts. Wafa was a component of Al-Qaeda (QE.A.4.01) in 2001. The WAFA Humanitarian Organization is a key Saudi charity and Pakistan-based organization financing al Qaeda. WAFA was a militant supporter of the Taliban. Documents found in WAFA’s offices in Afghanistan revealed that the charity was intimately involved in assassination plots against U.S. citizens as well as the distribution of “how to” manuals on chemical and biological warfare. U.S. officials have described WAFA as a key component of bin Laden’s organization. The well-endowed Saudi Arabian charity supporting al-Qaeda is the Saudi al-Wafa Humanitarian Organization initial address Jordan House No. 125, Street 54, Phase II Hayatabad, Peshawar, Pakistan. al-Wafa headquarters was in Kandahar, Afghanistan in 2001. This NGO was one of only two organizations quoted in the 9/11 investigation. One of the allegations against Abdull Mohssin Al Zamil, who was also accused of being a founder of al Wafa, was that he helped Abu Ghaith's family leave Afghanistan around the time of the attacks of 9-11. According to 2004 court testimony posted by AP, Kuwaiti Imam Abu Ghaith founded Al Wafa, the "humanitarian organization" sanctioned by the United Nations Security Council for its ties to al-Qaeda. Abdul Aziz, a Saudi citizen, senior al-Qaeda finance official, and Camp X-Ray prisoner, allegedly financed al-Qaeda activities through al-Wafa.

KSM was born on April 14, 1965 according to information provided to the Red Cross during his trial in Gitmo. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM) left Kuwait City for the USA in 1983 to go to Chowan College (now Chowan University) in Murfreesboro, NC. 

1980: KSM joins Kuwaiti Muslim Brotherhood when he was, 16, following his brother Zahid Sheikh Mohammed aka Zahid Al-Sheikh, who had become student leader for the Kuwaiti Muslim Brotherhood at Kuwait University (hot bed for terrorism). Zahid Sheikh Mohammed aka Zahid Al-Sheikh is the older brother of 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM). KSM attends training camps and studies the anti-Western, anti-modernity teachings of Islamist theorist Sayyid Qutb. Zahid is reported to have collaborated with Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in planning Operation Bojinka, a 1995 plan to hijack 12 airplanes over the Pacific. Zahid Sheikh Mohammed aka Zahid Al-Sheikh is also reported to have shifted careers to the direction of non-governmental organizations that 'provided aid' to refugees, fronts for support of terrorism. KSM, visiting Pakistan for the first time in early 1987, traveled to Peshawar where his brother Zahid introduced him to the famous Afghan mujahid Abdul Rasul Sayyaf, head of the Hizbul-Ittihad El-Islami (Islamic Union Party).  

Zahid Al-Sheikh Mohammed (ZSM) aka Zahid Al-Sheikh al-Qaeda boss and front man: Jelazee Refugee Camp was a terror training camp in Pakistan, near the Afghanistan border. American intelligence analysts alleged, during the Administrative Review Board hearing of Guantanamo detainee Adel Hassan Hamad, that the camp was directed by Zahid al-Sheikh Mohammed (ZSM), an older brother of senior al Qaeda planner Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM) aka Zahid Al-Sheikh. American analysts allege that Zahid Al-Sheikh was also an extremist with ties to terrorism, al-Qaeda. Mercy International, the charity Zahid Sheikh Mohammed helped run, funded Al-Qaeda. Zahid Sheikh Mohammed aka Zahid Al-Sheikh, the brother of 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM), works as the head of the Pakistani branch of the charity Mercy International in 1988. Mercy International founded in Canada in 1980 as a subsidiary of the Muslim Brotherhood and Incorporated in the State of Michigan in 1989. Several humanitarian organizations such as the Mercy International Relief Organization (Mercy), played central roles in the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings in Africa. At the New York trial of four men convicted of involvement in the US embassy attacks, a former al-Qa'ida member named several charities as fronts for the terrorist group, including Mercy. Documents presented at the NY trial demonstrated that Mercy smuggled weapons from Somalia into Kenya, and Abdullah Muhammad, one of the Nairobi bombers, delivered eight boxes of convicted al-Qa'ida operative Wadi al-Haji's belongings--including false documents and passports--to Mercy's Kenya office. Kuwaiti Ziyad Khaleel, the former roommate of Sarasota Imam Muneer Arafat, purchased the satellite phone and shipped the satellite phone used by Osama bin Laden to coordinate the 1998 US Embassy bombings in Africa, small world, eh?

Zahid Sheikh Mohammed aka Zahid Al-Sheikh the older brother of 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM), works as the head of the Pakistani branch of Mercy International a front for financial support of Al-Qaeda. Mercy International (MI) originally went by the name Human Concern International (HCI), Mumtaz Akhtar was the chairman of the board of Human Concern International in 1988. Its purpose at that time was to support the Afghan jihad against the Soviet Union, and to help Afghans who had fled the war in their homeland and taken up residence in Pakistan. In 1989, HCI changed its name to Mercy International-USA (MI) and established its new headquarters in Michigan, USA. The organization also maintained branch offices in such far-flung locations as Albania, Bosnia, Canada, Kenya, Dublin, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Switzerland. Some of these regional chapters had names that differed slightly from one another; e.g., the Canadian branch was known as the Mercy International Relief Agency. Sheikh Safar al-Hawali, a Saudi Arabian who is listed as a director of the Dublin branch of Mercy International, is an Islamic fundamentalist and scholar and author of The Day of Wrath, which asks if the Intifada (holy war) is "only the beginning". In MI's earliest days its Pakistan chapter was headed by Ahmed Khadr, a close associate of Osama bin Laden. Khadr was succeeded in this post in 1988 by Kuwaiti Zahid Sheikh Mohammed (ZSM) aka Zahid Al-Sheikh, the older brother of 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.

1983: KSM, chosen by his older brother Zahid Sheikh Mohammed aka Zahid Al-Sheikh, is sent to Chowan College in Murfreesboro, North Carolina. It is likely KSM was harassed and bullied by American students. KSM transfers to North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University in Greensboro to study mechanical engineering.

1986: KSM Graduates with an engineering degree and returns to Kuwait City, Kuwait. His former high school teacher, Sheikh Ahmed Dabbous, would later tell New Yorker journalist Terry McDermott that KSM returned home radically changed, harboring a stalwart belief that Americans were depraved bigots who hated Islam.

1993 World Trade Center bomber Ramzi Yousef’s real name was Abdul Basit Mahmoud Abdul Karim, an ethnic Pakistani born and raised in Kuwait City, Kuwait, educated in Wales, with a specialty in electronics. Ramzi Yousef born April 27, 1968 was the nephew of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed also born in Kuwait City Kuwait. Ramzi Yousef was a member of Kuwaiti Muslim Brotherhood.

Sept 23, 2001: The Kuwaiti Muslim Brotherhood's Lajnat al-Daawa al- Islamiya (Islamic Call Committee) was designated as a foreign terrorist organization by President George W. Bush on September 23, 2001, by Executive Order 13224 and later under section 219(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1189(a)) by Secretary of State Colin Powell on January 9, 2003. Reasons cited for the designation included Lajnat al-Daawa al- Islamiya being used as a financial conduit for Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda, and its funding of terrorist groups in Chechnya and Libya. Both Al-Qaeda operations chief Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and World Trade Center bomber Ramzi Yousef held positions with the organization.

Oct 10, 2002 KUWAIT, AL-QAEDA TERRORISM INCUBATOR. Two Kuwaiti men — Anas al-Kandari, 21, and his 26-year-old cousin, Jassem al-Hajiri — opened fire Tuesday from a pickup truck on Marines engaged in urban assault training on Failaka, an island 10 miles east of Kuwait City, killing one Marine Lance Cpl. Antonio J. Sledd, 20, of Tampa, Fla and injuring a second. Several Kuwaitis have been tied to Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda. Most notably, Al Qaeda spokesman Sulaiman Abu Ghaith who is married to one of Osama bin Laden's daughters he was stripped of his Kuwaiti citizenship in October 2001, and Kuwaiti-born Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM), the Sept. 11 mastermind and his Kuwaiti-born nephew Ramzi Yousef the 1993 WTC bobmber. 

March 2015, KUWAIT—Some members of the Kuwaiti Parliament are calling for the suspension of some Kuwait University professors who have been named as terrorists supporting extremist groups fighting in Syria and Iraq. The Parliament recently questioned the minster of education about why he had not taken action against the men, accused of collecting money, arms, and fighters for the Islamic State and the Al Qaeda-affiliated Al Nusrah Front. The minister said more proof was needed that the professors were acting as terrorists before suspending them, but he attacked the men for their views. The U.S. Department of Treasury included the names of two Kuwait University professors, Al Ajmi and Hamid Al-‘Ali as “specially designated global terrorists” last August 2014 with an accusation of supporting and financing extremist groups in Iraq and Syria. Another Kuwait University assistant professor, Hakem Al Mutairi, the leader of the Islamist political organization al Umma, has also been frequently named as raising money for organizations that are listed globally as supporting terrorism. Univ Professor Hamid Abdallah Ahmad al-Ali is a Kuwait-based terrorist facilitator and inciter who provided financial support and ideological justification for Al-Qaida-affiliated groups seeking to commit acts of terrorism in Kuwait, Iraq, and elsewhere. In Kuwait, Hamid al-Ali served as a professor of Islamic studies at Kuwait University for several years. Months before the 9/11 attack, al-Ali issued a fatwa authorizing the flying of aircraft into targets during suicide operations, leading some to characterize his fatwas as linked to Al Qaeda actions.

Professor Hamid Hamad Hamid Al-'Ali, Kuwait University: Hamid Al-'Ali has raised tens of thousands of dollars to help ANF purchase weapons and supplies as well as directed donors in Kuwait to send financial and material support to the terrorist organization linked to Al-Qaeda. Hamid Al-'Ali, DOB Nov 17 1960, has traveled to Syria, passport: Kuwait 001714467, to deliver funds to ANF and used University students in Kuwait to courier funds to the group. Hamid Al-'Ali has also facilitated the travel to Syria of individuals wishing to fight for ANF and provided these individuals with money to deliver to the terrorist organization. Hamid  Al-'Ali has referred to himself as an “al-Qaeda commando” and has raised money for ANF and al-Qaeda.

9/11 boss Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, 56, Imam Muneer Arafat, 58, terrorist Ziyad Khaleel, 57 and terrorist Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, 56, were all members of Kuwaiti Muslim Brotherhood at same time in Kuwait City during 1980's, they are all about the exact same age, 55 to 58! Osama Bin Laden's son-in-law, Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, who was an al-Qaeda spokesman after 9/11, has been sentenced to life in prison at Super Max ADX Florence in September 2014 for terrorism-related charges at trial in New York. Kuwaiti Imam Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, 56, born December 14, 1965 in Kuwait City is the highest-ranking al-Qaeda figure to face trial on US soil since the attacks and convicted.  

In June 2000, Imam Sulaiman Abu Ghaith left Kuwait for Afghanistan, where he met Osama bin Laden and joined his al-Qaeda organization. Kuwaiti Imam Sulaiman Abu Ghaith was captured in Jordan in 2013, and brought to the US. In March 2014, a jury found Sulaiman Abu Ghaith guilty of conspiracy to kill Americans and aiding al-Qaeda. Kuwaiti Imam Sulaiman Abu Ghaith the al Qaeda spokesman admitted to FBI agents that he knew Fayiz al Kandari, a Kuwaiti who is detained at Gitmo. Sulaiman Abu Ghaith, 56, was a long time member of the Kuwaiti Muslim Brotherhood during the same time frame as 9/11 boss Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, 56, Imam Muneer Arafat, 58, and his sidekick Ziyad Khaleel, 57, they are all about the same age and they were all born in Kuwait between 1963 and 1965. RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) August 2013— Saudi billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal has fired the director of an Islamic TV channel for his role as the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Kuwait. He wrote Sunday on his Twitter account that he sacked Imam Tarek Al-Suwaidan "for admitting he belongs to the Kuwait Muslim Brotherhood terrorist movement." Al-Suwaidan, a Kuwaiti, was the director general of Al-Resalah channel, which belongs to Alwaleed's Rotana Group — a large pan-Arab media conglomerate based in Riyadh. Kuwait has been vulnerable to extremist ideology promulgated by its domestic Muslim Brotherhood arm, and to terrorist attacks perpetrated by nationalist Palestinian, Shiite, and Sunni fundamentalist groups—including the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). Tampa's Osama Sam Mustafa who links to the 9/11 hijackers in San Diego, is a high ranking member of the PFLP, he is currently in prison doing 20 years. Prominent Kuwaiti cleric, Imam Hamid al-Ali, regularly comments on a variety of social and political subjects, and is believed to heavily influence Muslim opinion. He has issued fatwas approving suicide bombings and the attack tactic of crashing airplanes into buildings. Ali was designated as a terrorist by the U.S. Department of the Treasury in December 2006 for providing financial support to al-Qaeda-affiliated groups “seeking to commit acts of terrorism in Kuwait, Iraq, and elsewhere.”

Muneer Arafat, 58, Ziyad Khaleel, 57, and KSM, 56. are all about the same age, 56-58, and they all lived in Kuwait City at the same time from 1963 to 1983. It appears that Muneer Arafat, Ziyad Khaleel and KSM were all members of the Kuwaiti Muslim Brotherhood in the same time period, late 1970's and early 1980. The Kuwaiti Muslim Brotherhood's Lajnat al-Daawa al- Islamiya (Islamic Call Committee) was designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the United States Government. Muner Arafat has been verified as to belonging to Kuwaiti Muslim Brotherhood's Lajnat al-Daawa al- Islamiya (Islamic Call Committee). Prior to his birth, Khalid S. Mohammed’s parents immigrated to Kuwait from Pakistan’s Balochistan province.  

Badawiya Kuwait, the neighborhood where Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM) grew up, sits between the sand and the sea on the southernmost edge of Fahaheel, a suburb of Kuwait City. Mohammed’s parents moved to Kuwait from Pakistan in the nineteen-fifties, at the beginning of the country’s oil boom. His father, his father’s brother, and their young families came together; the brothers, both religious men, had been recruited to head mosques. Mohammed’s father became the imam in Ahmadi. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, according to the information he provided to the Red Cross, was born on April 14, 1965. KSM was rebellious in secondary school Kuwait; he told interrogators that he and his nephew Abdul Basit Abdul Karim (later internationally known as Ramzi Yousef, the man behind the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center) once tore down the Kuwaiti flag from atop their schoolhouse. KSM was raised in Kuwait, attending public high school there, and he became a member of the Kuwaiti Muslim Brotherhood as a teenager (16) in 1980, so did Muneer Arafat and Ziyad Khaleel. 9/11 terrorist financier Ammar al-Baluchi was born in Kuwait City, Kuwait, August 29, 1977, and is the maternal nephew of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed organizer of the 9/11 attacks and cousin of Ramzi Yousef, the organizer of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. The al-Baluchi family moved to Kuwait in the 1960s when/where KSM was born. 9/11 terrorist financier Ammar al-Baluchi had been "groomed since boyhood" by his cousins and uncles "to join their clandestine war against America.

The Kuwaiti Brotherhood has ties to several high ranking, prominent extremists, including notorious 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Kuwaiti television personality Tariq al-Suwaidan, listed by U.S. federal prosecutors in 2007 as an unindicted co-conspirator in a U.S. terrorist financing trial. According to reports. The Kuwaiti Brotherhood is represented by Tariq al-Suwaidan, date of birth November 1st 1953, a controversial Muslim Imam implicated in a U.S. terrorism financing case. In May 2007, U.S. federal prosecutors named Suwaidan as an unindicted co-conspirator in the case against the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, convicted of financing Hamas, Muneer Arafat and Ziyad Khaleel were fund raisers for Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development. Radical Kuwaiti Imam Tariq Al-Suwaidan was trained in the classical Islamic sciences in his youth and lived and studied in the United States from the age of 17 in 1970 and remained for in the US for 20 years. He graduated from high school and received a BS in petroleum and natural gas engineering from Penn State University in 1975. He is a long time member of the Muslim Brotherhood in Kuwait.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM) joined the Kuwaiti Muslim Brotherhood at the age of 16 in Kuwait before joining al-Qaeda in the late 1990s. KSM’s brother Zahid Sheikh Mohammed aka Zahid Al-Sheikh, once head of the Kuwaiti chapter of the Brotherhood, is believed to have financed KSM for years. The first iteration of the Kuwaiti Brotherhood, the “Islamic Guidance Society,” was formed in 1952 by Abd al-Aziz al-Mutawwa, an associate of Brotherhood founder Hassan al-Banna. In 1961, following Kuwait’s declaration of independence from Britain, the group rebranded to the “Social Reform Society,” or SRS. The SRS maintained formal organizational links with the Egyptian Brotherhood until 1991. Kazakh government has claimed that the Kuwaiti Brotherhood’s charity arm, the SRS, has financed terrorist activities and engaged in “armed jihad.” According to a press release from the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs (IMAMS), Endowments, Call and Guidance, Prince Dr. Bandar bin Salman bin Mohammed Al-Saud was identified as the Head of (Islamic) Call Committee in Africa. Kuwait Lajnat Al Daawa Al Islamiyya (a.k.a. Islamic Call Committee; a.k.a. Lajna Aldawa terrorist organization. In the 2000s, Kuwait-based individuals and institutions supported and financed al-Qaeda and al-Qaeda-affiliated groups. On 8 DEC 2003, Special Agent Scott McAllister (Florida Department of Law Enforcement) along with Special Agent Tom Baugher (Federal Bureau of Investigation) and Detective James LaPlante (Sarasota City Police Department) interviewed a confidential informant, under control of the Detroit office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. According to a FDLE report of December 8, 2003 given by Sarasota FBI agent Thomas Baugher, The source (CI) spoke to Muneer ARAFAT as the Imam of the local Sarasota Mosque and that Muneer ARAFAT was a member of the Kuwaiti Islamic Brotherhood in Kuwait same time as 9/11 head of operations KSM. Muneer ARAFAT follows a radical belief and teachings of Saudi grand Mufti ALBAZ, and wishes harm to the United States”.

On 20 FEB 2004, FDLE Special Agent Scott McAllister and FBI Special Agent Tom Baugher interviewed an individual ("Source"- Wissam Hammoud) about Muneer Arafat). Hammoud who has agreed to testify at trial, who provided the following information: From 11/23/04 until 1/21/05 Source (Muneer Arafat) was in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) attempting to raise money for the Islamic Center of Sarasota and Bradenton (ISSB). The ISSB requested that Source (Muneer Arafat) travel to raise money for a new mosque that they hope to build in Sarasota. For his efforts, Source (Muneer Arafat) was promised 20% of all monies raised. Source's plane ticket cost $1,800 and the ISSB paid half of this amount. Khalid Suliman moved out of Source's (Muneer Arafat) house in September 2003 and is slowly paying back the money he owes Source (Muneer Arafat). Muneer Arafat was listed at 4130 Central Sarasota Pkwy, Sarasota, Fl, so was Khalied Suliman. Khalied Suliman was the main cook at Sahara Cafe restaurant where Mohamed Atta and Marwan Al-Shehhi met on Oct 12, 2000. Khalied Suliman also worked as a detailer at Gulf Coast Auto Sarasota. Source (Muneer Arafat) has an offer from the Boca Raton Islamic Center, P.O. Box 3364, Boca Raton, Florida to be the Imam and principal of the elementary school. Source's (Muneer Arafat) salary would be $3,000 per month in 2005. None of that is on Muneer Arafat's current online resume. 

Sarasota Imam Muneer Arafat had direct ties to a Al-Qeada agent Ziyad Khaleel (roommate) prior his to arrival in Sarasota in March 2000, just 3 months prior to Mohamed Atta and 2 other 9/11 hijack pilots arrival in July 2000. Ziyad Khaleel, also known as Khalil Ziyad, Ziyad Sadaqa, and Ziyad Abdulrahman, was a Palestinian al-Qaeda member born in Kuwait, based in the United States, primarily in Colorado, Florida, Michigan and Missouri. 

Ziyad Khaleel, also known as Khalil Ziyad, and Ziyad Sadaqa had been identified as a “procurement agent” for Osama bin Laden, arranging the purchase and delivery of “computers, satellite telephones, and covert surveillance equipment” for the leadership of al-Qaeda, as well as administering a number of radical Islamic websites as webmaster, including the website of the terrorist group Hamas. Ziyad Khaleel was also directly linked to Imam Anwar al-Awlaki who assisted the two 9/11 hijackers in San Diego and then again in Falls Church VA.
Muneer Arafat was arrested in Sarasota Fl on November 22nd 2002 and sent to face a Grand Jury investigation into his ties to terrorism in St Louis. Muneer Arafat was not in Brooklyn or the NYC area in November 2002 as he indicates in his online resume. Imam Muneer Arafat's arrest by the FBI and ICE was not made public in the Sarasota area. There was no TV or Newspaper stories of Sarasota Muneer Arafat's arrest in Novemeber 2002.

Muneer Arafat was in the Jennings City Jail 5445 Jennings Station Rd, St. Louis, MO from November 22nd till December 18th, 2002 on a HOLD by US Marshals until he testified before the St Louis Federal Grand Jury concerning his ties to terrorism and his al-Qaeda procurement agent roommate Ziyad Khaleel. Muneer Arafat and Ziyad khaleel grew up together in Kuwait City they are about the same age and childhood friends. Muneer Arafat's arrest was Federal that's why he is still listed on the Federal Bureau of Prison website.

When Muneer Arafat returned to Sarasota on/or about December 20th 2002, see photo above, after spending 30 days in the Jennings City Jail, it appears the FBI flipped him (he and his wife faced deportation) and he supposedly was working for them. Muneer Arafat was wearing a wire for the FBI and was involved in a FBI terrorism investigation from December 2002 to end of 2003 in Sarasota Fl. Imam Muneer Arafat bragged about working for the FBI and made public his activity in Sarasota from December 2002 to end of 2003 when he was called as a witness in the Sami Al-Arain terrorism trial in Tampa. Imam Muneer Arafat told the court he was working as a confidential informant (snitch) for the FBI and they paid him $35,000 for his efforts in a unspecified case in Sarasota Fl. The only Sarasota FBI terrorism investigation I am aware of that took place in 2002 involved Abdulaziz and Anoud al-Hijji who just happened to have attended the same Mosque where the Imam was Muneer Arafat from March 2000 to Feb 2004 and it became known that Arafat later worked for the FBI as an undercover CI wearing a wire in late 2002 through 2003.

Muneer Arafat would have had direct contact with Sarasota FBI agent Thomas Baugher and the Sarasota Police Dept. and Sarasota County Sheriff Office Detectives during the 2002 – 2003 Sarasota investigation. Imam Muneer Arafat was arrested on November 22nd 2002 in Sarasota Fl for Visa Violations and taken by ICE and FBI agents to St Louis for a Federal Grand Jury investigation into terrorism ties. Imam Muneer Arafat was still working for the Islamic Society of Sarasota and Bradenton 4350 N. Lockwood Ridge Road, Sarasota FL in November 2002 and December 2002. 

Banned in St Louis, Munner Arafat banned from giving his Jihad lectures at Gateway Mosque in St Louis by Sheikh Nur. Imam Muneer Arafat was a well know Jihad preacher in the East St Louis area prior to coming to Sarasota in spring of 2000, after he purchased a blue Isuzu Trooper SUV in January 2000. Muneer Arafat gave testimony before a Federal Grand Jury in St Louis in December 2002 that was looking into ties to terrorism and his former roommate Ziyad Sadaqa, an al-Qaeda procurement agent.

It appears that Muneer Arafat came into the US from Kuwait on a student visa around 1986 to go to Ohio St and then Parks College, a Flight School in St Louis. Imam Muneer Arafat had a pilot's license, instructor level, when he shows up in Sarasota Fl at the local Mosque in March 2000. Sarasota Mosque hires Jiahd preaching Imam Muneer Arafat after he was banned in St Louis, why? Muneer Arafat claims he is a graduate of Parks College with a B.S. degree in aerospace engineering. Imam Omar Abdi Mohamed was a radical jihad preaching Somali 'holy man' paid $1,700 a month by the Saudi government to promote Wahhabism at a Somali social center in San Diego CA. He set up a small charity to help 'supposed' famine victims in Somalia, and the charity received more than $365,000 from the suburban Chicago branch of Global Relief foundation, a terrorist-financing entity linked to Al Qaeda according to the indictment the government would ultimately file against Mohamed. He also received $5,000 from Al Haramain Islamic Foundation, a Saudi-supported charity linked to Al-Qaeda. Imam Omar Abdi Mohamed was arrested December 19, 2003 by ICE on Immigration Violations, he had been laundering money for Al-Qaeda. Imam Omar Abdi Mohamed turned out to be a core member of Al-Qaeda, an advance man for the 9/11 hijackers in San Diego CA. Imam Omar Abdi Mohamed was found guilty October 28, 2005 on the Immigration Violations and sentenced December 20, 2005 he was released from Federal prison on December 22, 2005. Omar Abdi Mohamed did not serve his 1 year and 6 months sentence. In January 2004, U.S immigration officials (ICE) charged Abdi Mohamed with fraud after he allegedly lied about receiving approximately $370,000 from one of those front groups, Global Relief foundation and Al Haramain Islamic Foundation. Nevertheless, Imam Abdi Mohamed walked away from the charge, again. “The Department of Justice told the US. Immigration Court in San Diego, California that the U.S. decided not to prosecute Abdi Mohamed for this crime ‘due to concerns of diplomatic reasons.’

 

“There is a cancer within the [Saudi] Ministry of Islamic Affairs that we are addressing here. We are not the FBI. We aren’t the CIA. We don’t have the power to go in and ferret this out. We need these documents,” New York attorney Steve Pounian told U.S. Magistrate Sarah Netburn in the Saudi lawsuit filed by survior families of 9/11. Saudi government documents seized by the FBI in 2004 in a raid on the home of imam  Omar Abdi Mohamed show that he was illegally working for Saudi Arabia in San Diego from 1995 to 2004 and was a "propagator" for Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Islamic Affairs in San Diego under the direct control of al-Sowailem and al-Thumairy. The Saudi government documents as well as documents filed by the U.S. Government in the criminal and immigration cases against Imam Omar Abdi Mohamed show that, for the period from 1998 to 2001, Mohamed was found to have been involved in money laundering for charities closely associated with al Qaeda. U.S. Government documents state that Imam Omar Abdi Mohamed was "specifically tasked by the Saudi Arabian government in intelligence gathering mission in his employment as a propagator for that government."
