CBS NEWS 60 MINUTES Aug 24, 2025, Recently surfaced 9/11 evidence was not shared with FBI field agents or top intelligence officials. Evidence has emerged that could change our understanding of the 9/11 terrorist attacks nearly 24 years ago. The evidence was turned over to the FBI in the weeks after 9/11, but, as we first reported in April, it was never shared with the bureau's own field agents or top intelligence officials. Why after all these years did this crucial information just surface? The evidence came to light as part of a long-running lawsuit against the Saudi government by the families of the nearly 3,000 people killed in the attacks, and it includes a chilling video of a Saudi national spy Omar Bayoumi filming the U.S. Capitol. Investigators believe the pre-operational surveillance in Washington DC was for the 9/11 attacks. Federal officials and former FBI agents believe the U.S. Capitol was the intended target for United Flight 93, which crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. United Airlines Flight 93 with hijack pilot Ziad Jarrah was supposed to crash into the Capitol building on Sept 11, 2001.
CBS News’ 60 Minutes presented a robust case that Saudi intelligence agent Omar al-Bayoumi served a critical role in the Kingdom’s support for al-Qaeda and – more importantly – upended the Kingdom’s gaslighting of the American people. “Bayoumi should be held to account and so, too, should the Saudi government for the broader network of Saudi government officials who collaborated to aid the 9/11 hijackers. Bayoumi did not act alone. He was one link in a chain —the evidence shows that he operated in close coordination with multiple other Saudi officials in providing essential assistance to the hijackers. Justice demands nothing less than full accountability for the full Saudi government support network that enabled the murder of nearly 3,000 Americans.
Saudi spy Omar Bayoumi most likely used a JVC GR-SXM915U Super VHS-C camcorder to film the US Capitol building Washington DC in July 1999. The JVC GR-SXM915U is a Super VHS-C camcorder with a first production date in 1998. It has a high-quality image, optical zoom, and various features, it takes Super VHS-C tapes which are higher quality than standard VHS-C tapes. This is what I used for surveillance in 1999.
I have been adaman and spoke out on my websites about how the Saudi Arabia government had established and supported a Sunni-Wahhabi extremist network of not so holy Imams inside the U.S. that provided material support to the 9/11 hijackers! In Nov 2002 I was fully aware that Sarasota Imam Muneer Arafat was directly linked to and had been a roommate of an Al-Qaeda agent Ziyad Khaleel who was in contact with Osama bin-Laden Al-Qaeda's boss. To back it up, the Govt. averment cites facts compiled in a 2004 CIA/FBI Joint Assessment, by the 9/11 Commission, in numerous reports from the FBI’s two 9/11 investigations, PENTTBOM and Operation Encore, videos and other evidence obtained from the MPS also known as Scotland Yard and, notably, the FBI’s last public words on 9/11 contained in a 130-page report dated July 23, 2021. That report spells out in detail agents’ findings about a jihadist “militant network that was created, funded, directed and supported by the KSA [Kingdom of Saudi Arabia] and its affiliated organizations and diplomatic personnel within the U.S.”
Saudi funded Wahhabi Imams: The not so holy Imams linked to the 9/11 hijackers are, Imam Anwar al-Awlaki, Imam Omar Mohamed, Imam Muneer Arafat, Imam Fahad al Thumairy, Imam Osama Bassman and the boss Musaed al-Jarrah who had child porn on his computer. The Saudi Arabia Ministry of Islamic Affairs Funded and Built at least 320 Mosques in America in conjunction with the North American Islamic Trust and it's parent company the Islamic Society of North North America with cash from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and they also funded the 9/11 Hijackers. The Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center was identified in the 9-11 Commission Report as the mosque frequented by several of the 9-11 hijackers. Ahmed Omar Abu Ali, a Dar Al Hijrah, member who is serving a life sentence in a federal prison for nine counts of terrorism including a plot to assassinate President George W. Bush, kill members of Congress and bomb restaurants, nightclubs and other public places across America. Imam Ali Al Timimi, a Muslim cleric of Fairfax, Va., who was convicted in April, 2005, and is serving a life sentence in a federal prison for counseling others to wage war against the United States and use firearms and explosives in furtherance of violent crimes.
While in San Diego, Imam Anwar Awlaki assumed the role of Imam at a local mosque, Masjid al-Ribat al-Islami. It was in that role that he reportedly came into contact with two of the future September 11 hijackers, Saudi Arabians Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdhar. After spending four years in San Diego, Imam Awlaki left in 2000, eventually settling in the Washington, D.C., metro area in January 2001. He became Imam at the Dar al-Hijrah mosque, located in Falls Church, Virginia. September 11 hijackers, Saudi Arabians Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdhar followed him to Falls Church. On December 8, 2000,9/11 pilot Hani Hanjour arrived in San Diego, having traveled from Dubai via Paris and Cincinnati. Nawaf al-Hazmi likely picked up Hanjour at the airport. We do not know where Hanjour stayed; a few days later, both men left San Diego. Before departing, they visited the Osama Mustafa Texaco gas station in La Mesa, where Hazmi reportedly introduced Hanjour as a "long time friend from Saudi Arabia." Hazmi told his housemate that he and his friend "Hani" were headed for San Jose CA to take flying lessons and told his friends that he would stay in touch. Hazmi promised to return to San Diego soon, and he and Hanjour drove off.
IN SAN DIEGO CA: Between January and May 2000, the report notes, two cellphones “associated with Saudi spy Omar Bayoumi” registered 24 calls to the Saudi Consulate, 32 to the embassy in Washington and 37 to the Saudi cultural mission in Virginia. Bayoumi made a series of calls right before and after the hijackers arrived in San Diego to Mutaib al-Sudairy, a Saudi cleric who had visited him in California months earlier. Sudairy, who nominally worked as an administrative officer at the Saudi Embassy in Washington, lived for several months in Missouri with Palestinian American Ziyad Khaleel aka Ziyad Sadaqa who reportedly procured satellite phones and other equipment for Osama bin Laden.
In San Diego during year 2000, was Dr. Abdussattar Shaikh, an FBI informant shared his home with Flight 77 hijackers Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdhar, Shaikh had in fact been “co-opted” by a Saudi intelligence asset (spy) Omar Bayoumi with whom he shared a close, years-long relationship. Dr. Shaikh was a Saudi spy. Dr. Abdussattar Shaikh in San Diego and Imam Muneer Arafat were FBI confidential informants (CI) who had direct contact with Al-Qaeda agents, they were both Saudi spies with direct links to Saudi Arabia Ministry of Islamic Affairs. Dr. Abdussattar Shaikh in San Diego helped 9/11 hijackers Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdhar. Imam Muneer Arafat while living in Columbia MO was roommate of Ziyad Khaleel an al-Qaeda procurement agent. Imam Muneer Arafat became a FBI confidential informant (CI) in Dec 2002 after his arrest in Sarasota Fl in Nov 2002 for overstaying his visa. FBI Confidential Informants Dr. Abdussattar Shaikh in San Diego and Imam Muneer Arafat in Sarasota were Saudi Spies linked to 9/11 Hijackers.
If he had been questioned, Shaikh might have supplied the names of four individuals he did tell the bureau about after the attacks. All four had been the subject of FBI investigations and three of them had been under active investigation at the time the future hijackers were living in San Diego. Though their names remain redacted in the Inquiry’s Report, one of the men has been identified in press reports as former Tampa resident Osama Mustafa. Before 9/11 Osama 'Sam' Mustafa owned a Texaco gas station in La Messa CA where Hazmi worked for about a month while living with Dr. Shaikh.
According to the 9/11 Commission Report, Osama Mustafa previously had been the subject of an FBI counterterrorism investigation that yielded no evidence of criminal conduct. In 2013, Mustafa was convicted in connection with a $17-million tax-refund fraud scheme. He vanished while out on bond and was sentenced in absentia to 20 years in prison. In 2019, he was captured in Jordan and extradited. Mustafa is currently housed at a federal prison in Virginia and has a projected release date of Aug. 3, 2035.
Ziyad Khaleel was also a roommate of Sarasota Imam Muneer Arafat. Mutaib Sudairy was also linked “to suspected Al Qaeda operatives in Saudi Arabia,” the report says. Both Omar Bayoumi and Thumairy were also repeatedly in touch with Musaed Ahmed al-Jarrah, a key figure in the Saudi religious network who was a senior figure in the Islamic affairs section of the Washington embassy, FBI documents indicate. Jarrah “had a controlling, guiding and directing influence on all aspects of Sunni extremist activity in Southern California” and “numerous contacts with terrorism subjects throughout the U.S.,” the 2021 report states. At the Washington embassy, Jarrah also acted as a senior officer of the Saudi intelligence service. He was a close aide to the longtime ambassador, Bandar, and worked for Bandar again after he returned to the kingdom to lead the National Security Council; Jarrah was forced by the FBI to leave the United States because of his suspected extremist ties.
