International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Assoc Claims Radical Black Lives Matter Group & Antifa are Domestic Terrorists

International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Assoc Claims Radical Black Lives Matter Group & Antifa are Domestic Terrorists. IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — A prominent law enforcement training group is promoting a lengthy research document riddled with falsehoods and conspiracies that urges local police to treat Black Lives Matter activists as terrorists plotting a violent revolution. The document distributed by the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association contains inflammatory rhetoric that could incite officers against protesters and people of color.

The report alleges Black Lives Matter and antifa, an umbrella term for leftist militants, are “revolutionary movements whose aims are to overthrow the U.S. government” and claims they are planning “extreme violence.” The association in October sent a link to the 176-page paper, “Understanding Antifa and Urban Guerrilla Warfare,” in an email news update to its thousands of members. The document, labeled “restricted to law enforcement only,” is one of the few publicly available materials on its website. The law enforcement association, known by its nickname ILEETA, says in a mission statement that it’s “committed to the reduction of law enforcement risk” and saving lives through high-quality training. Information regarding the Department of Homeland Security ("DHS") and Federal Bureau of Investigation ("FBI") policies and actions involving the monitoring and surveillance of and their involvement in the protests and political activity surrounding police violence, policing reform; racial justice, and the Black Lives Matter movement ("BLM").

FLORIDA STANDS GROUND: Back in May 2021 Governor Ron DeSantis Signed the Hallmark Anti-Rioting Legislation while Taking an Unapologetic Stand for Public Safety against violent groups like Black Lives Matter (BLM). Desnatis signed the “Combating Public Disorder Act” into law. The bill, HB 1, takes a robust approach to uphold the rule of law, stand with those serving in law enforcement and enforce Florida’s zero tolerance policy for violent and disorderly assemblies. The bill also creates specific crimes for mob intimidation and cyber intimidation to ensure that Florida will not be a welcoming place for those wishing to impose their will on innocent civilians and law enforcement by way of mob mentality. Crimes of mob intimidation and cyber intimidation both will become 1st-degree misdemeanors. The bill is also increasing penalties and rankings for many of these offenses like assault, battery, battery on a law enforcement officer, criminal mischief, burglary, and theft when these crimes are committed during or in furtherance of a riot.
