Told You So: Most Affairs Begin At the Office With Salespeople the Worst Offenders

Told You So: Most Affairs Begin At the Office With Salespeople the Worst Offenders. Does your significant other leave early for work, before the workplace is actually open for business, BIG RED FLAG HERE. NYP Writes: These frisky 9-to-5ers are gettin’ busy at work — and they’re eagerly filling up every position. Getting along with coworkers is key to workplace harmony. But getting it on with sexy staffers at the office is typically taboo. The naughtiness of colleague coitus notwithstanding, an October 2023 survey on the Top 10 professions in which a person in a committed relationship is most likely to cheat found that 85% of affairs occur on the job — with one in five employees confessing to being unfaithful with a work associate. “The allure of the forbidden fruit can be fairly tempting, especially in an environment where professionalism and boundaries are expected to be upheld,” said the authors of the report, conducted by online gambling platform RantCasino, adding, “many can’t help but take a bite.” Laura O’Brien, a chief spokesperson RantCasino, tells The Post that in-office cheating is incredibly common as overworked coworkers often lean on one another for stress relief from the daily grind.

“A place where everyone presents their best selves, take lunches together as well as regular coffee breaks, the workplace undeniably serves as a fertile ground for affairs to blossom,” she said. “In addition to physical affairs,” continued O’Brien, “emotional affairs are prevalent according to the survey, suggesting that people are drawn to colleagues who understand the intensity and challenges of their job.” For the survey’s freaky findings, analysts polled 3,800 folks across the UK — 1,644 of whom copped to doing dirty work with a fellow employee — to determine which professional industries most frequently double as hotbeds for NSFW dalliances. And salesmen and women ranked the highest for risqué business. “People who work in sales stacked up as the top cheaters with a striking 14.5% (239 individuals) admitting to having workplace affairs,” said researchers. “Often with irregular working hours and numerous work functions or networking events to attend, [the sales industry is] at the forefront as a prime breeding ground for infidelity.”
