Fl State Senator Joe Gruters WINS District 22 from Northern Opponent Michael Johnson in August 23rd Primary

UPDATE 8/23/2022 JOE WINS: State Sen. Joe Gruters won the race for the Senate District 22 seat Tuesday night, earning more than 66% of the votes over challenger Michael Johnson in the Sarasota-Manatee district. Gruters said Tuesday evening that receiving almost 67% of votes was much higher than he expected, especially in a universal primary in which there were many unknown factors. "Incredibly thankful to all the voters from all parties for the overwhelming victory and support," Gruters said in an emailed statement to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, adding that the margin was "a huge win and I look forward to going back to Tallahassee to fight for our community and the issues we all care about."

Fl State Senator Joe Gruters Faces Out Of District 22 Northern Opponent Michael Johnson in August Primary Reminiscent of Carpetbaggers Invading the South. In the history of the United States, carpetbagger is a historical term used by Southern Democrats to describe opportunistic Northerners who came to the Southern states after the Civil War perceived to be exploiting the local populace for their own financial, political, or social gain like Michael Johnson appears to be doing. Southern Democrats used the term “carpetbagger” to suggest that Northerners who came to the south invading politics after the war were a pack of second-rate opportunists, with their belongings packed in a cheap bag made of carpet material. Joe Gruters is a Sarasota Fl native, born and raised, a 4th generation Sarasotan, serving our area in the State Senate. Michael D. Johnson is not! Michael Johnson lists his address: 2022 General Election State Senator District 22. Michael Johnson Republican. Address Post Office Box 21258. Bradenton, FL 34204.

NOT IN MY DISTRICT 22: Carpetbagger Michael Johnson lives over 150 miles from the northern most point of Manatee County. His only ties to our community is a personal grievance with Senator Gruters. He has no vested interest in improving Sarasota-Manatee Counties nor does he have an understanding of our history or our hopeful future. Carpetbagger Michael Johnson political background as the President of Grassroots For America is so far right that he has been escorted out of their REC meetings. He is running on a singular platform of disruption of our local delegation to the detriment of our local representation. His campaign considers you and your family as collateral damage in his personal vendetta against a lifelong resident of our area. But there is a loophole here; According to Florida state law, all registered voters, Republicans and Democrats are eligible to vote in a primary election when only one party fields candidates. But there's an exception: If a write-in candidate, who has no party affiliation, enters the race, then the primary is open only to registered voters of the party that has candidates, in the case of the District 72 August 2022 vote, it is Republicans. The winner of the then Republican primary then faces the write-in candidate in the general election in Nov 2022. Because the write-in candidate's name doesn't appear on the ballot, it virtually assures that the person who won the primary will win the seat. A write-in has never won an election in Florida, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Northern carpetbagger Michael Johnson invading Florida District 72 election covering Sarasota County and part of Manatee County for his own financial, political, and social gain, STOP HIM! Jesse Phillips, Seminole County state committeeman, said Michael D. Johnson has sometimes needed to be escorted out of meetings by police after interrupting business, sometimes as early as during the pledge of allegiance, WTH? MJ's campaign treasurer is Rita Hoffman at 1182 Paseo Del Mar Apt #D Casselberry, FL 32707. MJ's Campaign Finance Activity shows $4,100 in and $1 781 out, not much of a bankroll, is this guy really serious bout running for the District 72 Senate seat? Carpetbaggers supported the Republican Party like Michael Johnson from Altamonte Springs Fl, and would play a central role in shaping new southern governments during Reconstruction. In the District 22 state Senate race, where Joe Gruters, a respected Sarasota CPA, a forth generation Sarasotan, and longtime local Sarasota political fixture, is facing off against Michael Don Johnson, an Army veteran who spent years working for the federal government and receives Social Sec benefits of $4,398 from an office in Wilkes-Barre PA, among other income sources. Michael Don Johnson is currently using PO Box 21258 in Bradenton Fl as his address, although his admitted legal residence is in Seminole County. Because no candidates other than Joe Gruters and Michael Johnson are running, the race will be decided in the Aug. 23 primary and any voter who lives in the district can cast a ballot, not just Republicans. That means Democrats could have a big influence on the race for a seat covering Sarasota County and part of Manatee County.

Senator Joe Gruters Faces an Absentee Republican Primary Opponent Michael Johnson Who Democrats Can Vote For! Joe Gruters says his campaign to continue representing you in the Florida Senate is hitting a critical juncture, because the successes we’ve had in Florida could be at risk August 23.
This guy Michael Johnson is from Seminole County. He is not running to make our community better. He’s upset at a ruling I made against him for not following the rules.” First, let’s remember the tremendous successes we’ve passed just this year: 1). Further ensures election integrity
2). Expands pro-life protections
3). Ensures parental rights with their school children
4). Put’s children ahead of radical agendas
5). Fights back against woke corporations
6). Protects the environment
7). Provides record tax relief
And backs our law enforcement officers I (JOE GRUTERS) can tell you as a Senate leader, the key in all of these victories that have made Florida so attractive to the rest of the country is that the Florida Legislature and Governor DeSantis are on the same page. Let’s keep it that way! But to do so, I need your help against forces from outside our community, including a primary candidate who doesn’t even live here! It’s outrageous, but true. My Republican primary opponent lives in Altamonte Springs — I’m running in an open primary, which means everyone can vote. And that means Democrats can cross over and vote for my absentee carpetbagger opponent! Primary election day is on August 23 and I need your vote to help maintain Florida’s greatness. I also need your help.
