Marine Home From Iraq War, Federico Freire and his wife Kalyn, Attacked By a Gang of Black Teens in Bradenton Fl

FOX NEWS...He made it home from the Iraq war just in time for Christmas. She was looking forward to a night out with her husband after so much time apart. But a group of teenagers had other plans for Federico and Kalyn Freire, who were assaulted outside a Florida movie theater after asking the teens to be quiet during a movie on Christmas Day. Federico Freire, a 28-year-old Marine, and Kalyn Freire were attacked after the couple attended a showing of "Little Fockers" on Saturday in Bradenton, Fla.

Freire, a Florida native stationed at Camp Pendelton in California, said he and his wife asked a group of "obnoxiously loud" teenagers talking on cell phones to "be quiet" during the 8:20 p.m. movie.  Freire said that when the disturbance escalated and the group began cursing, his wife called the manager, who asked several of the teenagers to leave the theater. The couple said they thought the fracas was over until they walked out of the theater and were assaulted by a mob of menacing teenagers.

"On our way out of the movie theater, my wife gets surrounded with about 10 to 15 girls that were about to attack her," Freire told FoxNews.com. "As soon as I saw this I immediately ran and got her out of harm's way."  Freire said one bystander stepped forward and told the couple to follow him to his car, saying he could scare the crowd off with a gun. But before the two reached the man's vehicle, one of the teenagers said, "I'm going to knock your wife out," before punching Freire's wife to the ground, the couple said.

Deputies from the Manatee County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene and arrested two 15-year-old brothers and charged them with misdemeanor battery. According to a police report, three others -- 16-year-old Ishmael Dunbar, 17-year-old Reginald Gardner and 20-year-old Destiny McNeil -- were arrested and charged with felony battery on a law enforcement officer and trespassing.  "All available units were requested to respond to disperse the crowd for officer safety and to restore order," the police report said, MORE FROM THIS SOURCE....

GANG BANGERS IN BRADENTON FLORIDA
Bradenton Herald article: As the couple exited the theater just before 10 p.m., Kayln Freire was surrounded by about 15 girls who appeared like they were going to attack her, Federico Freire said. A witness told Freire that he had a firearm in his vehicle and offered to escort the couple to safety.

Federico Freire said he told his wife to go with the witness to get her out of harm’s way. Seven males then surrounded Federico Freire and began to kick and punch him, according to the sheriff’s office report; he was struck across the left side of his face.
“I got back up to defend myself and they started running everywhere,” he said.  A crowd of about 100 people began to form. When Freire looked to his wife, he said he saw a young male with his shirt off punch her in the face, knocking her out.

Freire said he went after the youth and the witness brandished his gun, telling the crowd to step back. Deputies arrived shortly thereafter. As deputies were investigating, the manager of the theater asked anyone without a ticket to leave.
When a deputy asked 16-year-old Ishmael Dunbar to leave several times, the teenager refused and struck the deputy, according to the sheriff’s office. At one point, Destiny McNeil, 20, a relative of Dunbar, attempted to intervene in the arrest and was arrested herself, the release said. She was charged with resisting arrest without violence and was released from Manatee County jail Sunday on a $750 bond.

Reginald Gardner, 17, also hit the same deputy in the arm and resisted arrest after he was asked to leave the area. Gardner was stunned in the chest with a Taser by a deputy.  Both Gardner and Dunbar were charged with battery on a law enforcement officer. The names of 15-year-old twin brothers who were charged with misdemeanor battery for striking the couple were not released. Details of misdemeanor arrests for juveniles are not public record under Florida law.

Near the end of the incident, there were about 300 people milling around, according to authorities. All available deputies were asked to come to the theater to help restore order, the release said. The manager then shut down the location. Normally, one to two off-duty law enforcement officers from state agencies are hired to work security on weekends. On Christmas night, no one was available, according to theater management.

I’m fine. My wife’s face is all swollen up. She’s got cuts in the inside of her mouth. I was able to defend myself pretty good because of my training, but I was more worried about her,” Freire said. Freire, who is based at Camp Pendleton, Calif., leaves this week. He said after this incident, he has spent the remainder of his time at home with family.

I’ve lived in this town (BRADENTON). I know how trashy it can be,” he said, reflecting on the incident. He is considering filing a lawsuit against the theater for not providing adequate security, as well as against the teens involved.

Indiana Grandmother Kathie Smith, a Muslim Convert, Investigated By Fusion Center for Terror Link to Anwar al Awlaki and Samir Khan in Yemen.

FOX NEWS...A 46-year-old Indiana grandmother is under investigation for her possible ties to suspected and convicted international terrorists, FoxNews.com has learned.

Muslim-convert Kathie Smith, 46, a U.S. citizen living in Indianapolis who has blogged about her granddaughter, last year married a suspected German jihadist, and has been flying back and forth between the U.S. and Germany as recently as two weeks ago.

A pro-jihadist video featuring Smith and her husband – alongside photos of members of the Islamic Jihad Union charged with plotting failed terror attacks against U.S. targets in Germany -- is being investigated by the Indiana Intelligence Fusion Center. The center is a counterterror intelligence clearinghouse staffed by law enforcement officers from local and federal agencies, including the FBI and Department of Homeland Security.

Salahudin appeared to maintain forums devoted to hosting Awlaki’s sermons. Earlier this month he uploaded videos to his since-deleted YouTube account that included German muhajideen training at jihadist camps in Pakistan, and another featuring the widow of a German Taliban jihadist directing the wives of jihadists to fulfill their obligations while their husbands are off fighting.

In other English-language posts, he suggests he himself has trained in these same jihadist camps. On Facebook, he is "friends" with the notorious Al Qaeda English-language online magazine Inspire, thought to be principally authored by American-turned-Muslim radical Samir Khan. Salahudin also has used his online posts to call for the deaths of U.S. citizens, military and government leaders, and recently joined in on another user’s thinly veiled threats against Condoleezza Rice, says Fox News.

Anwar Awlaki Tied to British Terror Plot, Awlaki's "Inspire Magazine", Published by American Samir Khan, Found in Suspects' Homes.

FOX NEWS....New evidence against the nine suspects in an alleged terror plot in Great Britain claims to connect the men to Anwar al-Awlaki, the first American on the CIA's capture or kill list.In keeping wth Awlaki's online propaganda, the suspects allegedly chose highly symbolic targets including Big Ben and the U.S. embassy compound for their supposed plot.

The nine suspects were swept into a British court on Tuesday under heavy guard. "They were all arrested under the terrorism act 2000 on the suspicion of the commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism," a Scotland Yard spokesman said.

Investigators who searched the suspects' homes are said to have found two issues of "Inspire" magazine, Al Qaeda in Yemen's version of a lifestyle periodical -- a Martha Stewart Living for Jihadists.

The driving force behind "Inspire" is Awlaki, who's believed to be hiding in Yemen. "It's almost like a bit of a training manual that's being delivered via the Internet right to the doorstep of whomever in the UK or United States or Canada or wherever in the western world," said William Gaches, a former senior intelligence officer.  Awlaki is now connected to at least 15 terror cases dating back to 9/11/2001.

Albanian Mobster John Alite In Witness Protection Program After Testifing Against Junior Gotti, Alite Had Threatened Sarasota PI.

John E. Alite entered a plea Jan. 16 2008 with the Fed's but it was kept secret until December 11th, 2008 its release triggered by another mob trial set for January 2009 in New York.

As part of the racketeering plea, prosecutors say (dirtbag) John Alite admitted involvement in two murders, four murder conspiracies, at least eight shootings and two attempted shootings — including one in which the intended victim was his former roommate at the University of Tampa, Tim Donovan.

John Alite also acknowledged participation in armed home invasions and armed robberies in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida, the government said.  According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Alite has acknowledged his role as a top associate in the crime family and specifically admitted to participating in the murder of George Grosso on Dec. 20, 1998, and in the murder of Bruce John Gotterup on Nov. 20, 1991.

Prosecutors said Alite also admitted to participating in four murder conspiracies, including conspiracy in 1990 to kill Louis DiBono.  All three New York-related murder charges were included in a Tampa indictment handed up against Junior Gotti earlier on August 6th, 2008.

John A. "Junior" Gotti has been indicted on conspiracy charges in Tampa Florida, linking him to large-scale cocaine trafficking and the slayings of three New York men in the late 1980s and early 1990s, federal officials said Tuesday. Federal prosecutor Robert O'Neill announced the indictment of the 44-year-old Junior Gotti and five other men at a news conference. He said the indictment showed that the men were "trying to gain a foothold" in the Tampa area (via John Alite).

See my prior post, Tuesday, August 05, 2008 one day prior to the news of the Junior Gotti Tampa indictment, ATTENTION TAMPA NIGHT CLUBBERS, YOU WERE GIVING YOUR CAR KEYS (AND HOUSE KEYS) TO THE MOB ! Co-owner of Prestige Valet in Tampa, John Alite aka Johnny Alletto (photo above), was the “wiseguy” who acted as the go between the New York Gotti Mob family and the Tampa Gotti underworld, this guy may have been in your car and had access to all of your keys, your name and home address info from the car registration, that is always in the glove box or visor. The former alleged boss of the Tampa Gotti Mob enterprise, John E. Alite, is awaiting trial in Tampa after being captured and extradited from Brazil.

In the mid 1990s, John Alite aka Johnny Alletto became involved in a valet company called A&A of Tampa, which later changed its name to Prestige Valet. Prestige had contracts with St. Joseph's Hospital and the shops in Channelside, according to court documents. The company also parked cars at restaurants and nude clubs. Valet parking offers other advantages to the Mafia. The business provides legitimate jobs for mob associates, especially those on probation or who have to stay out of trouble for a while. And some crime rings duplicate keys and later steal the cars or break into homes.

On Sunday August 24th, 2008, I (private investigator Bill Warner) was having a pool party at my house watching the pre-season football game between the Giants and the Jets with friends when I got a phone call from a woman who needed a emergency photo taken of her "husband" cheating on her at Lido Beach in Sarasota Fl, she claimed she had followed the husband from St Pete to Lido beach where he met another woman.

The woman caller went on to claim that she would pay me $300 cash if I would just come over to Lido Beach and get a photo of her husband with this "other woman," I told her this was short notice and I could not make it.

The woman called back in 15 minutes and claimed she would pay me $500 cash to please come over and meet her in the Lido Beach parking lot and get a photo of her husband with this "woman", at this point I started questioning the female caller about why didn't she take the photo herself and if she was at the beach and saw her husband with another woman why did she not just confront him?

The woman caller realized that I knew it was a set up to get me to come over to the Lido Beach parking lot and her tone of voice changed dramatically as she said "some day you will pay for writing the story about Johnny and his valet business" and hung up.
John Alite aka Johnny Alletto was booked into the Pinalleas County Jail 14400 49th Street North Clearwater, FL on May 19th, 2008 at 4:25:36 PM, he was released to the Federal Marshalls on Friday August 15th, 2008 at 2:12 PM in the Clearwater area.

John Alite aka Johnny Alletto tried to implicate New York City private investigator Bo Dietl in a pay for info scam that involved the Gambino crime family.

Celeb Private Eye Bo Dietl ‘horrified’ by mob accuser John Alite. Celebrity crime-fighter Bo Dietl said a mob snitch’s claim that the ex-cop sold secrets to the Gambino crime family hit him like a bullet in the chest, see link to Bo Dietl's website http://www.investigations.com/

Celebrity crime-fighter and private investigator in New York City is Bo Dietl, his photo above, John Alite is a lying dirtbag who will say and do anything to further empower himself.

“It’s horrifying that someone could accuse you of something like this,” Bo Dietl said at a news conference he called yesterday to clear his name. “I fought against criminal activities all my life. This is so opposite of what I’m all about. Personally, it’s like someone shot me.”

Dietl, a private investigator who was the subject of the 1998 film “One Tough Cop,” told reporters that he wants the US Attorney’s Office to find out who leaked an FBI report that included John Alite’s claim that Dietl took payoffs from the late John Gotti’s brother, Richard, in exchange for case information.

American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) National Executive Director Pamela Geller Is Number One With Neo Nazi's For Anti-Muslim Hate Rhetoric In 2010, SPLC.

Hate Speech;  Intelligence Report, Winter 2010, Issue Number: 140, Pamela Geller and pastor Terry Jones Amp Up Anti-Muslim Hate Rhetoric.

The annual observances in New York City of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks on the World Trade Center are normally somber and subdued. But with anti-Muslim acrimony in America escalating, apparently stoked by anger over a proposed Islamic cultural center two blocks from Ground Zero, this year’s commemorations were sometimes downright ugly (Pamela Geller hate rally).
Public figures such as Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin helped fuel that discord with harsh denunciations of the proposed Muslim center. But no one did more to fan the flames of fear and hatred over the “Ground Zero mosque” than Pamela Geller, co-founder of Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) and American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) National Executive Director.

Earlier this year, Pamela Geller — who also has questioned whether President Obama was born in America — bought anti-Muslim ads that were displayed on New York City buses for a month. She warned that Muslims will “turn to further intimidation, murder and terrorism” if they can’t achieve a political takeover. Pamela Geller comments were so incendiary, in fact, that several neo-Nazi organizations even ignored the fact that she is Jewish and published her diatribes. She in turn commented favorably on the South African, apartheid-defending terrorist Eugene Terre’Blanche after he was murdered, blaming his death on “black supremacism.”
Pamela Geller...On Sept. 11, Geller led a rally near the proposed Muslim community center, where protesters carried signs (“No mosque on sacred ground”) and heard speeches by her and Geert Wilders. Wilders is a hard-line Dutch lawmaker who has compared the Koran to Hitler’s Mein Kampf and made frequent speeches in the United States warning that Islam is an ideology, not a religion, intent on world domination.

At the same time Pamela Geller’s demonstration was being staged, a rival rally was held just blocks away. Those demonstrators called for tolerance and carried their own signs — “The attack on Islam is racism” was one.

Citing police estimates, The Wall Street Journal said there were about 1,500 people at Geller’s anti-mosque rally and 2,000 at the counter-demonstration. The New York Post said the pro-mosque crowd outnumbered the anti-mosque protesters, 3,000 to 2,500. Both these estimates infuriated Geller, who accused the “liberal establishment mass media” of a “massive distortion” meant to minimize her cause.

On the oldest and largest white nationalist forum, http://www.stormfont.org/ , Pamela Geller’s anti-Islamic blog posts have been shared on several occasions. In January, for instance, “Thunderbird” posted several links to Pamela Geller’s writing and that of another Jewish woman who writes for the anti-immigrant hate site, http://www.vdare.com/ . “Thunderbird” asked her fellow haters whether these “notorious right wing conservative Jewish bloggers are … on our side on many issues.” A compatriot, “GE Bonaventure” replied, “Jewish Nazi’s, Fascists, right wingers etc. are small in number but they can make sense.”

In May, “skinjob88” (88 is neo-Nazi code for “Heil Hitler”) gave Pamela Geller high praise on Stormfront: “In my country and the rest of Europe, [Muslims] are pushing for Islamification, they are killing good White teenagers and raping young White girls, they inter-marry and inter-breed with their family members. Don’t think for one minute the US is safe from Islam.” But the support wasn’t unanimous. One Stormfronter expressed anger that Pamela Geller seemed blind to the horrors of non-white races. In April, “Teutonic Beubonic” wrote: “She singles out Muslim immigrants in Europe for their uncivilized animal-like behavior and likeliness to commit crime, yet she refuses to mention anything about blacks or Latinos in the U.S. … Shame on her.”

Meanwhile, an obscure pastor from Gainesville, Fla., drew vastly more publicity than the far better known Geller by announcing a plan to mark the 9/11 commemoration with “International Burn a Koran Day.” News of Terry Jones’ plans tore across the Muslim world, igniting fury in Afghanistan and elsewhere.

Secretary of Defense Robert Gates phoned Jones in an effort to persuade him not to burn copies of the Islamic religious text. Gen. David Petraeus, the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan, warned that Jones could endanger the troops. President Obama said if Jones followed through on his plan, it would be “a recruitment bonanza for al Qaeda.” The right-wing pastor, who has also bitterly attacked “homos,” received death threats and a visit from FBI agents. The international police agency Interpol issued a warning to governments worldwide of an increased risk of terror attacks if Jones proceeded with his plan. The U.S. State Department also warned Americans living and traveling abroad of the potential for violent protests.

In the end, Jones canceled his Koran burning event, saying he had an agreement that would move the Manhattan Islamic center to another site. That wasn’t so. Gainesville law enforcement agencies later said they would bill Jones for the costs associated with his planned Koran burning. They are expected to exceed $200,000. That would bankrupt his 50-member Dove World Outreach Center, (Jones is bringing his circus to Tampa Fl) Jones said, a prospect that clearly delighted many residents of Gainesville.

81 Year Old Mobster James "Whitey" Bulger On The Run Since January 4th 1995, Bulger Looking At 16 Years On the Run, Florida For Christmas?

1995; Bill Clinton was President, The prosecution delivers its opening statement in the O. J. Simpson murder trial, Kappa Phi Lambda is founded at Binghamton University, Oklahoma City bombing The Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City is bombed killing 168, In Charlottesville Virginia actor Christopher Reeve is paralyzed from the neck down after falling from his horse in a riding competition, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame opens in Cleveland Ohio, Saddam Hussein gains 99.9% of votes in Iraq's presidential election, Gas for your vehicle cost $1.26 a gallon and Mobster James "Whitey Bulger goes on the run.

On Jan. 4, 1995  a federal warrant was secretly issued for James "Whitey" Bulger's arrest. Whitey Bulger, his longtime associate Stephen ``The Rifleman'' Flemmi, and reputed New England Mafia boss Francis ``Cadillac Frank'' Salemme were charged with extortion.  Racketeering indictments followed a week later, Jan 11. 1995, alleging that Bulger was shaking down drug dealers and collecting weekly payoffs from bookmakers.

A tip that the trio was planning to flee sent the FBI and State Police scrambling to arrest them on Jan. 5, 1995, but only Flemmi was nabbed that day. Salemme was captured seven months later, September 1995, hiding out in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Where was Whitey Bulger? On vacation. Investigators now know that Bulger and another girlfriend, Theresa Stanley, a woman he'd lived with for 30 years in South Boston, were traveling around the country. They had spent time in San Francisco and were staying at Le Richelieu Hotel in New Orleans' French Quarter from Dec. 26, 1994, through Jan. 2, 1995.

``They were driving back to Boston when he heard there was a warrant for him and turned around,'' said one investigator.  Investigators suspect Bulger and Stanley stayed at a hotel in Connecticut or western Massachusetts for several days while he figured out what he was going to do. Surrendering was not an option. He had spent nine years in federal prisons, including Alcatraz, for bank robbery from 1956 to 1965, and was determined never to return. He was ready for a life on the run; he already had an alias.

So when the FBI issued a nationwide alert for James J. Bulger of South Boston, he quickly became Thomas F. Baxter of Selden, N.Y., a town on Long Island.

Investigators said Bulger began using Baxter's identity long before he was on the run, even before the real Thomas F. Baxter of Woburn died in January 1979. Bulger obtained a Massachusetts license with his own photograph and Baxter's name, birth date, and Social Security number. He renewed it every four years.

In 1990, Bulger obtained a New York driver's license as Thomas Baxter, then renewed it in 1994. For his address, he used the Selden home of cousins of a trusted South Boston associate. But while Bulger was prepared for the fugitive life, sources say Stanley was not. In mid-January 1995, Bulger returned to the Boston area and dropped off Stanley in Hingham.

Then Whitey promptly picked up Catherine Greig, a dental hygienist who grew up in South Boston and was living on Hillcrest Road in Quincy. Bulger had been having an affair with Greig for more than a decade while living with Stanley, according to investigators.

Bulger and Greig surfaced Jan. 17, 1995, in Selden LA, where he bought a new black 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis under the name Tom Baxter. He paid $13,000 by bank check and traded in a 1991 Mercury Sable. (loves those Mercury's)

Three days later, Bulger and Greig were in Grand Isle LA, an island that advertises itself as ``The Cajun Bahamas'' and brags that it is one of the world's 10 best fishing spots.  Greig frequently had her hair cut and colored -- L'Oreal light ash blonde or extra light platinum blonde.  . The first week of November 1995, Bulger was back in Grand Isle LA, staying at the Water Edge Motel, Bulger paid with $100 bills, he always pays with $100 bills. Greig was always a loner she walked on the beach one time and she said something about missing New York to a new friend in Grand Isle.

Al-Qaeda Continues To Try And Topple The "Royal House of Saud," Pamela Geller In NYC Has No Clue.

Recent developments in the Ground Zero Mosque debate, initially stirred up by radical blogger Pamela Geller In NYC, indicate that King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has made gestures that indicate he (as he is the government of Saudi Arabia) would fork over $300 million to re-hab and re-open a shut down NYC hospital and move the Ground Zero Mosque to the site.

Attorney Dudley Gaffin is claiming King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia might want to buy shuttered St. Vincent's Medical Center and transfer the "Ground Zero Mosque" to a new Islamic cultural center he would build on a plot at the site, say sources who have heard Gaffin's pitch.

The king, worth more than $20 billion, would also save the hospital, reopening most of the units that closed when St. Vincent's filed for bankruptcy on April 14, the sources said.  "He says the king wants to do this as a p.r. move -- to save the hospital and move the mosque away from the World Trade Center site," the source added. "He wants to show that Muslims can do good works."
The cost would be at least $300 million -- the combined amount that the Sisters of Charity, which owns the hospital, owes the biggest secured creditors, GE Capital and TD bank.   "He wanted to know what it would cost," said the community leader.  Gaffin said the mosque and cultural center would likely be built in a space now occupied by a shuttered nursing facility on 12th Street, just east of Seventh Avenue, (fine do it case closed) more from this source....

Radical right wing blogger Pamela Geller claims on Fox Business News, see here, that this just a move by King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia to cover his rear and make a peace offering due to recent Wiki Leaks documents that indicate Saudi Arabian businessmen are financing al-Qaeda, which is true see here, WikiLeak Documents; U.S. Cables Show Arab Allies Fund Terror Groups Like Al-Qaeda From Saudi Arabia Golden Chain of Financiers and Car Dealers.

But King Abdullah and the Royal Family of Saud are not financing al-Qaeda, just the opposite is true, al-Qaeda wants the King and his whole family dead and they have tried to accomplish this feat more than once, see below;
1). "A suicide bomber who was trying to kill the head of Saudi Arabia’s antiterrorism efforts stumbled just short of his target and fell, detonating an explosion that had been arranged by an affiliate of Al Qaeda, a spokesman for the Saudi Interior Ministry said Friday. The Saudi official, Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, who serves as deputy interior minister and is a member of the royal family, was slightly wounded in the attack in the Red Sea port of Jidda, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday, said Gen. Mansour al-Turki, the spokesman for the Interior Ministry", more read here.
2). Qaddafi May Have Wanted Saudi Prince Killed. WASHINGTON — Intelligence chiefs for Libyan leader Col. Muammar al-Qaddafi ordered a covert operation to assassinate the ruler of Saudi Arabia and throw the oil-rich kingdom into disarray, Fox News confirmed. Abdurahman Alamoudi (Sami al-Arian's pal), an American Muslim leader now in jail in Alexandria, Va., and Col. Mohamed Ismael, a Libyan intelligence officer in Saudi custody, have given separate statements to American and Saudi officials outlining the plot, the New York Times first reported.

In fact Saudi Arabia is one of our allies in the fight on terror and al-Qaeda;
Yemen: Al-Qaida insider told Saudis of bomb plot.  Information that helped thwart the plot of U.S.-bound mail bombs wired to explode on cargo planes came from an al-Qaida insider who was secreted out of Yemen after surrendering to Saudi authorities, Yemeni security officials said Monday. The tip reflects how Saudi Arabia has worked aggressively for years to infiltrate al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula, which is operating in the unruly, impoverished nation on its southern doorstep, read more here.

Saudi-born Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden has long called for the overthrow of the Saudi royal family to punish it for allowing U.S. military bases in the kingdom. He broke with the monarchy in 1990 over the Gulf War, when the kingdom invited U.S.-led coalition troops onto Saudi soil to its defend oil fields and to prepare to attack Iraq. After the fall of Saddam Hussein's regime in the second Iraq war, U.S. troops pulled out of Saudi Arabia.

For several reasons, experts say. The royal family maintains a close relationship with the United States, which al-Qaeda views as the home of "infidels." Many Saudis see the powerful princes who run the country as corrupt and dissolute. Al Qaeda regards the regime as "insufficiently Islamic and an unacceptable candidate to be the guardian of Mecca and Medina," Islam's holiest sites, read more here.

Florida, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd Arrests Phillip Ray Greaves Author of 'Pedophile Guide' in Colorado.

                  Phillip Ray Greaves....Pedophile.

The Florida sheriff who ordered the arrest of a Colorado man who wrote a how-to guide for pedophiles says he did so because the self-published book went beyond free speech and First Amendment protection -- and could teach would-be predators how to victimize children.

Phillip Ray Greaves, a 47-year-old retired nurse's aide in Pueblo, Colo., was arrested Monday at his home by sheriff's deputies from Florida's Polk County and charged with violating Florida's obscenity law, a third-degree felony. During a brief court appearance on Monday, Greaves waived his right to fight extradition. He will be booked into the Polk County jail around 11 a.m. Tuesday (see booking photo above) and has his next court appearance scheduled for Wednesday 12/22/2010.

Phillip Ray Greaves
DOB 1/13/1963
Height: 5' 05"
Weight: 180

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said his office arrested Greaves because he sold and mailed the "horrifying" book -- "The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure: a Child-Lover's Code of Conduct" -- directly to undercover deputies at an address in Lakeland, Fla., after being paid $50.
"This is a how-to guide to sexually batter children," Judd told FoxNews.com on Tuesday. "It deals with techniques, avoiding risk of discovery and provided real-life examples of how to do this. That goes beyond free speech. No one loves the Constitution and the First Amendment as much as I do, but this goes beyond free speech." MORE FROM THIS SOURCE.......

New House Homeland Security Chair Peter King (R-NY) Plans Hearings on Homegrown Muslim Radicalization via Jihad Terror Websites.

Representative Peter King (R-NY) says he'll call for hearings into the radicalization of Muslim Americans when he takes over as chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security in the new congressional term.

In an interview on FOX's "America Live," King said "We have to break through this politically correct nonsense which keeps us from debating and discussing what I think is one of the most vitally important issues in this country. We are under siege by Muslim terrorists and yet there are Muslim leaders in this country who do not cooperate with law enforcement."

And he also notes a rise in terrorist recruitment in the United States saying, "We have the reality that Al-Qaida is trying to recruit Muslim-Americans, and yet we have people in the Muslim community who refuse to face up to this."

King cites foiled terror plots to bomb Times Square and the New York Subway, the 2009 Fort Hood shootings, and arrests of who he calls "homegrown Muslim terrorists" in Texas, Chicago, Virginia, New Jersey, San Diego and Portland, Oregon as examples of the type of radicalization on which the hearings would focus, MORE FROM THIS SOURCE....

INTERNET TERROR RECRUITMENT AND TRADECRAFT; The House Committee on Homeland Security, Subcommittee on Intelligence, Information Sharing, and Terrorism Risk Assessment.

RECRUITED MUSLIM TERRORISTS; The sheer diversity of the perpetrators and nature of their U.S. plots is remarkable. These have included highly trained al Qaeda operatives like Najibullah Zazi, the Afghan-born U.S. resident who sought to replicate the 7 July 2005 suicide attacks on London transport in Manhattan; motivated, but less competent, recruits like Shahzad and the five youths from a Washington, D.C. suburb who last December sought training in Pakistan to fight in Afghanistan but, had they been successful in establishing contact with a Pakistan-based terrorist group, could just as well have been deployed back to U.S.; dedicated sleeper agents like the U.S. citizen David Headley whose reconnaissance efforts on behalf of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), a longstanding al Qaeda ally, were pivotal to the November 2008 Mumbai, India attack’s success; bona fide “lone wolves” like Major Nidal Hasan, the Fort Hood shooter, and other individuals with murkier terrorist connections like Abdulhakim Muhammad (Carlos Bledsoe), an African-American convert to Islam who returned from Yemen last year and killed a U.S. military recruiter and wounded another in Little Rock, Arkansas and has now claimed in court to have done so on behalf of AQAP—the same group responsible for Christmas Day plot; and, finally, the incompetent, wannabe terrorists who are easily entrapped and apprehended such as the four parolees and converts to Islam who attempted to bomb 2 Bronx synagogues and an upstate air national guard base, the Jordanian national who overstayed his US tourist visa and plotted to bomb a downtown Dallas office tower last September, and another convert who wanted to blow up a Springfield, IL federal building that same month, among others.

INTERNET RADICALIZATION OF MUSLIM TERRORISTS; As disparate and diverse as the above list of individuals may appear, the one thing that the majority of them had in common was the role that the Internet played in their respective plots and often their radicalization. For example:
Zazi conducted several Internet searches to identify and obtain commercially available materials for the bombs he intended to use in attacks on the New York City subway.
Hasan exchanged at least eighteen e-mails between December 2008 and June 2009 with Anwar al Awlaki, an operational officer with al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).
Colleen LaRose used the online monikers “Fatima La Rose” and “JihadJane” allegedly to recruit others in the United States and abroad, supposedly to carry out a terrorist attack in Sweden. She boasted in e-mails how, given her appearance—e.g., a petite, blue-eyed, blonde—she could “blend in with many people.” She also sought to recruit other Western women who looked like her on http://www.revolutionmuslim.com/ .
David Kris, an assistant attorney general in the Department of Justice’s National Security Division, was quoted in the Washington Post as stating that the fact that a suburban American woman stands accused of conspiring to support terrorists and traveling overseas to implement an attack “underscores the evolving nature of the threat we face”.
Hosam Smadi, the young Jordanian national implicated in the Dallas, Texas bomb plot, according to his indictment, allegedly belonged to “an online group of extremists . . . who espoused violence.”
Michael Finton, a U.S. citizen, implicated in a plot to bomb a federal building in Springfield Illinois, claimed both to have been influenced by an al Qaeda video and to have obtained “all that he could . . . . use the Internet to look up all he needed to know to conduct such an attack . "
David Headley, the U.S. citizen who allegedly carried out reconnaissance and surveillance operations on behalf of both Pakistani jihadi terrorist organizations and al Qaeda was actively involved in on-line user groups and chat room forums14 as was one of his alleged coconspirators, Tahawur Rana.
Tarek Mehanna, a U.S. citizen charged with conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists allegedly made extensive use of the Internet, amassing, according to the criminal complaint filed against him in federal court, “Video files, audio files, images, stored messages, word processed documents and cached web pages”.
Bryant Neal Vinas, a U.S. citizen from Long Island, New York who traveled to Pakistan to enlist in al Qaeda and, in addition to providing information to facilitate an al Qaeda plot to blow up a Long Island Rail Road train inside New York’s Pennsylvania Station, participated in an attack on U.S. military forces in Afghanistan, is believed to have been radicalized as a result of “visiting jihadist Web sites”.
Umar Farouk Abdulmuttalab, the AQAP operative who attempted to bomb a North West airlines flight on Christmas Day, 2009 was in regular contact with the aforementioned Anwar al Awlaki.
Faisal Shahzad has been widely reported to have viewed radical jihadi material on the Internet and apparently has admitted to having been inspired by al Awlaki as well.

Dutch National Tanja Anamary Nijmeijer & 17 Other Members FARC Terror Group Indicted on Hostage-Taking of Marc Gonsalves, Keith Stansell Sarasota Fl, and Thomas Howes, SEE PHOTOS.

WASHINGTON—Tanja Anamary Nijmeijer, a Dutch national who moved to Colombia and joined the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) in 2002, and 17 other members of the FARC designated foreign terrorist organization were indicted by a federal grand jury in Washington, D.C., today on seven counts of terrorism and weapons charges arising out of their participation in the hostage-taking of three American citizens in the Republic of Colombia.

The indictment, returned by a grand jury in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, was announced by David Kris, Assistant Attorney General for National Security; Ronald C. Machen Jr., U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia; and John V. Gillies, Special Agent in Charge, of the FBI’s Miami Division.

The three former hostages—Marc Gonsalves, Keith Stansell of Sarasota Fl, and Thomas Howes—were held in the Colombian jungle by members of the FARC for more than five years until their rescue by Colombian military forces on July 2, 2008.

SARASOTA HERLAD TRIBUNE Sunday, July 13, 2008 at 8:49 a.m - After almost 51/2 years as a hostage of Colombian guerrillas, where he was forced wear heavy chains around his neck while marching for hours and while sleeping, Keith Stansell is finally home.  Stansell slipped into his parents' three-bedroom Edgewater Village home Saturday afternoon, saying only that he wanted to spend time with family members, including his two teenage children who live in Sarasota.  He arrived on a private jet from San Antonio, where he and two other men who were also hostages had been receiving medical care after their daring rescue two weeks ago. He spoke briefly to the media in Texas, asking for another six weeks of privacy.  "Today, for the first time, we're going home," Stansell, 44, said. "There's family members waiting for us. Let us go home and be family men again." MORE FROM THIS SOURCE...

The indictment charges Tanja Anamary Nijmeijer, a former Dutch schoolteacher who joined the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FARC), and the other 17 defendants with one count of conspiracy to commit hostage taking, three substantive counts of hostage taking, one count of using and carrying a firearm during a crime of violence, and two counts of conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists and a designated foreign terrorist organization.

Sixteen of the defendants are being charged for the first time; two others, charged earlier, face new counts in today’s indictment. If convicted of these charges, each defendant would face a maximum term of up to 60 years of incarceration, the maximum sentence permitted under Colombian law for Colombian nationals extradited to the United States for prosecution. The weapons charge carries a statutory mandatory minimum penalty of 30 years’ incarceration. Four of the 18 defendants are also charged in count two of the indictment with an eighth count, the premeditated murder of a U.S. national outside the United States, done during the perpetration of, and attempt to perpetrate, a kidnapping, which also carries a maximum sentence of up to 60 years’ incarceration in this case.

Marc Gonsalves, Keith Stansell, Thomas Howes, Thomas Janis, and a Colombian national, Sgt. Luis Alcides Cruz, were conducting counter-drug aerial surveillance in southern Colombia on Feb. 13, 2003, when their Cessna aircraft experienced engine failure and was forced to make an emergency landing on a remote mountainside where a large contingent of FARC guerrillas were gathered. All five occupants of the plane survived the crash, but were immediately taken captive by the FARC guerrillas. The pilot of the plane, Thomas Janis, and the Colombian national, Sgt. Cruz, were both immediately executed by the FARC, and their bodies were left near the crash site. The other three, Mr. Gonsalves, Mr. Stansell, and Mr. Howes, were held under barbaric conditions in the jungle for more than five years.

The indictment alleges that the defendants used choke harnesses, chains, padlocks, and wires to bind the necks and wrists of the American hostages to prevent their escape, and constructed a large barbed-wire concentration camp to hold dozens of civilian hostages in the jungle for more than a year, including the three Americans.

As Colombian rescue efforts intensified in later years, the indictment alleges that the defendants forced the hostages to move long distances, from camp to camp, including a grueling 40-day march while carrying heavy backpacks through dense jungle to outrun Colombian military forces. The defendants are also charged with forging an agreement to kill the hostages, if necessary, to prevent their escape or rescue.

“We will not tire in our pursuit of all those responsible for this crime. I applaud the many prosecutors, agents and analysts, who have worked tirelessly to bring about these charges as we seek justice for the victims of these hostage-takings,” said Assistant Attorney General Kris.

“Today's indictment demonstrates our firm resolve to bring to justice every last FARC commander who played any part in this brutal act of terrorism,” U.S. Attorney Machen stated.  “The FARC has authorized the use of violence and attacks against American citizens to forward their mission of terrorism. Today's indictment represents the continuing commitment of the FBI to fully investigate and to bring to justice terrorists throughout the world who harm citizens of the United States,” said Special Agent in Charge Gillies.

The indictment sheds new light on the international aspect of the FARC’s hostage-taking enterprise, and this crime in particular. For example, it alleges that the hostages were taken to a meeting in 2003 with several senior members of the FARC’s Estado Mayor Central, who told the Americans that their continued detention as U.S. citizens would assist the FARC’s goals by increasing international pressure on the government of Colombia to capitulate to the FARC’s demands. The FARC published communiques articulating their political demands on the Internet, in Spanish and English, to be read in the United States and, in 2003, released a proof of life video articulating their demands to Colombian and American media outlets.

The indictment also alleges that the defendants transported the hostages, at times, outside Colombia and into the Republic of Venezuela, in order to prevent the Colombian police and military from rescuing the hostages.

Four of the defendants in today’s indictment, Carlos Alberto Garcia, also known as “Oscar Montero” and “El Paisa,” Juan Carlos Reina Chica, also known as “Farid,” Jaime Cortes Mejia, also known as “Davison,” and Carlos Arturo Cespedes Tovar, also known as “Uriel,”are charged with murder of a U.S. national outside the United States, for their involvement in the kidnapping when Thomas Janis was shot in the back of the head with an assault rifle by FARC guerrillas. The indictment also alleges that “El Paisa” gave the order to shoot at the disabled plane as it was attempting to land.

Defendant Tanja Nijmeijer gained notoriety in recent years in Colombia, after her personal journal was recovered in a Colombian military raid in 2007, and excerpts of a video interview of her were released to the international press in 2010. On the recently-released video, Nijmeijer describes how she first learned about Colombia’s guerrilla war when she was still a student at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. She describes how she helped the FARC as an operative in Bogota before eventually joining the group as an armed insurgent in November, 2002. Nijmeijer states on the video that she will be a “guerrilla until we are victorious or until we die, and there’s no turning back.”

Today’s charging document represents the fifth indictment issued in the District of Columbia against various FARC members involved in the kidnappings.  In 2005, the Republic of Colombia extradited Juvenal Ovidio Ricardo Palmera Pineda, also known as Simon Trinidad, to the United States in this case. He was subsequently convicted at a jury trial of conspiracy to commit hostage taking, and is now serving a 60-year sentence in federal prison. Chief Judge Royce C. Lamberth, who sentenced defendant Trinidad in 2008, called the crime an act of terrorism that was heinous, barbaric, and “against the law of all civilized nations.” The Colombian Supreme Court declined to extradite three other conspirators who were charged with this hostage-taking case in 2007 and 2008, and four other conspirators who were charged in 2003 have been killed or died in Colombian military operations in recent years.

Two of the defendants in today’s indictment—Carlos Alberto Garcia, aka El Paisa, and Jose Ignacio Gonzalez Perdomo, aka Alfredo Arenas—were charged previously in an indictment returned in the District of Columbia in 2003, shortly after the three Americans were taken hostage. Today’s indictment re-files each of those charges and adds a new homicide count against El Paisa. Today’s indictment also adds a new weapons charge and an additional material support charge against both men.

The U.S. government, through the Rewards for Justice Program of the Department of State, is offering a reward of up to $5 million for information leading to the apprehension or conviction of any FARC commanders involved in the hostage taking of Keith Stansell, Thomas Howes, and Marc Gonsalves, and the murder of Thomas Janis. The Department of State’s Rewards for Justice Program has been employed worldwide to fight terrorism. Since the program’s inception in 1984, the United States has paid more than $77 million to more than 50 persons who provided credible information that led to the apprehension of individuals or prevented acts of international terrorism.

The newest charges were the result of an investigation led by the FBI’s Miami Field Office and are being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Kenneth Kohl of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, with the support of David Cora and Brian Murtagh in the Counterterrorism Section of the National Security Division of the Department of Justice. Assistance also was provided by the Directorate of Intelligence and the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Colombian National Police, as well as the FBI Office of the Legal Attaché in Bogota, Colombia.  An indictment is merely a formal charge that a defendant has committed a violation of criminal laws. Every defendant is presumed innocent until and unless found guilty.
