Doctor's Wife Murder Blunt Force Trauma Kathleen Briles Was Bound And Beaten To Death She Was Home Alone Attack Mimics Manatee Sarasota Home Invasions

Doctor's Wife Died From Blunt Force Trauma, Kathleen Briles Was Bound And Beaten To Death She Was Home Alone, Attack Mimics Manatee Sarasota Home Invasions.

BRADENTON, FL -- The wife of a Manatee County doctor was bound before she was killed by blunt force, around 3:00pm on Monday August 3rd 2009, according to Manatee Sheriff Brad Steube. The body of 48-year-old Kathleen Briles was found by her husband, Dr. James Briles, Monday night. She had been dead 4 - 5 hours, according to investigators. At a Thursday morning news conference, Sheriff Steube said investigators found sign of forced entry into the Bay Shore Drive home.

"Kathleen was found bound. She was not shot. She was not strangled. She was not sexually assaulted. She died as a result of blunt trauma," Steube told reporters. He said items were taken from the home, but would not elaborate. He said that over a two-day period, CSI investigators collected a "substantial amount of evidence," including blood samples, DNA, fingerprints and other forensic material.

Dr. Briles, who is an associate at a general practice health care facility, has been ruled out as a suspect. Sheriff Steube said investigators are looking at possible similarities with other recent violent home invasions. "I've been asked numerous times, can we relate this to other home invasions in both Sarasota and Manatee counties? We have not ruled it out," Steube said.

The man responsible for the 11 Sarasota Manatee Home Invasions broke into homes during the day, targets middle aged woman home alone, he has bound his victims then beat them savagely causing blunt force trauma, one of his victims died, coincidence ?

The attacker in the Home Invasions in Sarasota and Bradenton Fl has been described by victims as a white male, 5'10" to 6' 0" tall, about 175 to 185 lbs, dark hair, 35 to 53 years old, speaks in street slang, some victims thought he was black by the way he talks, he wears a black ski mask, long sleeve shirts, gloves and has made statements that he robs to feed a crack cocaine habit.

The attacker appears to be targeting mostly middle-aged women, who live alone, creeping into their homes or yards and sneaking up behind them. He strikes them in the head, usually binds them with cords or rope he finds in their homes, then beats them again as he grabs cash, credit cards, jewelry and electronics but robbery does not appear to be the motive. It has been confirmed that a serial attacker of women is at large in the Sarasota Bradenton area who brutalizes his female victims.

I had been aware of a possible suspect who drove a white pick up truck and lived in the South Sarasota area, he was a loner, middle aged, fit the physical description, worked the neighborhoods during the day where the Sarasota attacks took place and had no criminal record hence no DNA on file in any criminal data bank.

This guy moved at the end of May 2009 just before police could question him, moved real fast, he left everything in his rental house even food in the frig, all the Sarasota home invasions stopped after May 29th, wonder where he moved to ?

"Tea Party" Demonstrators disrupt health care forums, Right Wing Mob Tactics Now Issue Death Threats.

"Tea Party" Demonstrators disrupt health care forums, Right Wing Mob Tactics Now Issue Death Threats.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- As they head home to their congressional districts for the August recess, lawmakers who support health care reform are bracing for protests and demonstrations that threaten to turn violent. In North Carolina, a congressman who backs overhauling health care had his life threatened by a caller upset that he was not holding a public forum on the proposal.

Democratic Rep. Brad Miller received the call Monday, one of hundreds the congressman's office has fielded demanding town-hall meetings on the health care proposal, said his spokeswoman, LuAnn Canipe. She said the callers were "trying to instigate town halls so they can show up and disrupt."

"We had one of those kind of calls that escalated to what we considered a threat" on the congressman's life, Canipe said Friday. "These are some strong-arm tactics, and we are trying to deal with and trying to talk to people in good faith about health care reform."

In the week since the House began its break, several town-hall meetings have already been disrupted by noisy demonstrators. The latest occurrence was at back-to-back town hall meetings held by Rep. John Dingell, D-Mich., which got so raucous police had to escort people out. Dingell vowed Friday to push ahead with Democratic-led efforts to extend coverage to all, saying he won't be intimidated by protesters.

"I am eager to talk about the bill with anyone who wants to discuss it. That doesn't open the door to everyone who wants to demagogue the discussion," Dingell said in a statement. The boos, jeers and shouts of "Shame on you!" at the events in a gym in Romulus, Mich., mirror what other Democrats are encountering around the country.

In Saratoga Springs, N.Y., about 20 protesters showed up at an event held by Democratic Rep. Scott Murphy to let him know they oppose the health care plans in Washington. They carried signs saying: "
Obamacare Seniors beware! Rationing is here," and "If socialized medicine is best ... why didn't Ted Kennedy go to Canada?"

The episodes have drawn widespread media attention, and Republicans have seized on them as well as polls showing a decline in support for President Barack Obama and his agenda as evidence that public support is lacking for his signature legislation.
The threatening caller, when told by a staffer that Miller was not planning a meeting, claimed the congressman didn't want to meet with people face to face because he knew it would cost him his life, according to Canipe. The staffer then asked if the caller was making a threat. The caller, said Canipe, replied that there are a lot of angry people out there. The U.S. Capitol Police confirmed Friday they were looking into a threat against a congressman, but wouldn't provide further details.

Websites such as "Atlas Shrugs" written by Pamela Geller fuel the "mob mentality" by posting articles filled with misinformation such as "
Pelosi's Leftist Lies and the Propagandists Who Spread Them, Libel blogging A Different Kind of Fauxtograph" and Pamela Geller is inciting more violence at the Town Hall Meetings by calling the Democratic party, "Obama thugs and Fascists".

"Behave yourselves like your mom would probably tell you to do," Gibbs said when asked what piece of advice he would give to the demonstrators.
>> "Look who is preaching us about civility - the thug administration. The good news is that the seniors are too smart to fall for such cheap tricks. The good news is that now average, ordinary Americans can see how evil and deceitful the Democrats are. It is no longer a media story they never heard or saw. It is them. They, the average American, that is being smeared. Now it is in the daily fabric of their lives. I hope the Dems keep the mask off, so that everyone can see the fifth column at work. The nerve of these thugs. They are fascists. Ridicule is a rule for radicals, a tactic -- don't forget it. Do not back down. Do not cower. Do not go quietly into the night". by Pamela Geller.

Leonid Timoshenko, Commissioner Kelly, Tatyana Timoshenko. The Timoshenkos received a shield and plaque for their son Russel.
Detective Herman Yan survived being shot in the arm and chest, and the shooting of his partner at close range, in July 2007.

New York State Governor David A. Paterson today bestowed Police Officer of the Year honors on Detectives Russel Timoshenko and Herman Yan for the heroism they exhibited on July 9, 2007, when the patrol partners were shot in Brooklyn’s 71st Precinct by three men in a suspicious vehicle, whom the then-police officers had pulled over for stolen license plates. Officer Russel Timoshenko died of his injuries July 14 and was posthumously promoted to Detective later that month. Officer Yan also was promoted for his demonstration of bravery and quick action in the moments after the shooting, despite being wounded at close range in his arm and chest.

“When Officers Yan and Timoshenko became sworn members of the New York Police Department, they promised to ‘serve and protect’ the public, knowing full well the implications of that oath and the danger that would become a part of their everyday lives,” said Governor Paterson. “Yet they accepted that responsibility and valiantly carried out their duties. Recognizing these brave officers is not only the right thing to do, it is a personal honor. My respect for these courageous men is immeasurable.”

Deputy Secretary for Public Safety Denise E. O’Donnell said: “By honoring Officers Yan and Timoshenko we honor all of the brave and dedicated law enforcement officers who risk their lives for us every day. Every citizen, myself included, owes a debt of gratitude to Officers Yan and Timoshenko, and their colleagues around the state who keep our communities safe.”

New York City Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly said: “Two years ago, Police Officers Russel Timoshenko and Herman Yan displayed the utmost courage in the face of mortal danger. New Yorkers will never forget their bravery or Russel’s supreme sacrifice. I want to thank Governor Paterson for honoring these exceptionally deserving men.”

In a ceremony held on July 27, 2007, Police Officer Russel Timoshenko was posthumously promoted to Detective First Grade and his partner, Police Officer Herman Yan, also was promoted to Detective. The NYPD awarded a Medal of Honor posthumously to Detective Timoshenko in 2008, which Detective Yan also received.

The men were on patrol in Brooklyn’s 71st Precinct in a marked police car on July 9, 2007 when they observed a suspicious vehicle whose license plates belonged to another car. After instructing the driver to pull over, the officers were fired upon multiple times as they approached the vehicle. Officer Timoshenko was hit twice in the face and Officer Yan was struck in his arm and chest, where his bullet resistant vest helped save his life. Officer Yan returned fire, radioed for help and provided key descriptions and details to the responding officers.

Officer Timoshenko succumbed to severe injuries after five days in intensive care. Three perpetrators were caught after a multi-state manhunt, and two were convicted of Detective Timoshenko’s murder, among other charges.

The Police Officer of the Year Award was initiated in 1983 to recognize a single police officer or team for an exceptional act of valor symbolizing the service of police in New York State. Seventeen officers from eleven law enforcement agencies were nominated statewide for the 2007 award.

In attendance at Tuesday’s ceremony were Detective Timoshenko’s parents, Tatyana and Leonid, other relatives of Russel and members of his former command including Detective Yan, whose wife also attended.

8/03/09 NYPD officer Russel Timoshenko killing appears linked to used car scam at Universal Auto World LI by private investigator Bill Warner who just recently returned from a trip to New York State.

Is NYPD officer Russel Timoshenko’s killing linked to the financial scheme that was operating out of two Lawrence car dealerships — uncovered during a murder probe of one of the used car salesmen –they helped drug dealers, pimps and gang members buy luxury cars and keep their names off motor vehicle records, it’s a highly active investigation, Nassau District Attorney Kathleen Rice said.

The scheme operated out of Universal Auto World and Victory Toyota, Rice said. Ten managers and salesmen and Universal Auto have been charged. Most defendants, including the dealership, were charged with scheme to defraud and grand larceny, as well as other charges. Nassau police began probing the dealerships after the Jan. 11th 2007 shooting death of Collin Thomas, a salesman at Universal Auto.

Rice’s office is also investigating a link between the Thomas slaying and a car stolen from another Five Towns dealership that was used in the July 9th 2007 shooting of two New York City police officers, Herman Yan and Russel Timoshenko who was killed. Thomas’ death remains unsolved.”This investigation started with a murder and eventually led the police department and my office into a tangled web of financial schemes and bogus identities.”

Detectives are investigating possible links between the men accused of gunning down two Brooklyn cops (photos above) and an alleged million-dollar scam at a Long Island auto dealership.

Officers Timoshenko and Herman Yan pulled over a black BMW sport utility vehicle at 2:30 am in Brooklyn on July 9 2007 after noticing that the license plate did not match the vehicle.

As the officers approached the stolen SUV on foot, its occupants opened fire, shooting Timoshenko in the face and throat and Yan in the arm and torso. Timoshenko was instantly brain-damaged and paralyzed from the neck down; after five days in a coma, he died. Yan lost so much blood that he required surgery.

Timoshenko-slay suspect’s damaging one-way ticket to trouble; By Scott Shifrel DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER Friday, July 18th 2008, A one-way street could land an accused cop killer a one-way ticket – to prison. Ex-con Lee Woods was telling Brooklyn detectives he had nothing to do with shooting Officer Russel Timoshenko last year when the map-challenged perp slipped up, a detective testified Thursday.

Woods said he was in a second car following pals Dexter Bostic aka Bostick and Robert Ellis in their black BMW SUVwhen they were pulled over on Rogers Ave., Detective Louis Yaro said at a hearing in Brooklyn Supreme Court.

Woods said he proceeded to the next corner where he made a U-turn and drove back past the BMW and the police car,” Yaro said. “He sat at the opposite corner to watch what was going on.” Woods heard shots, saw Timoshenko’s partner
Herman Yan fire at the BMW and then he drove off, he told Yaro, but he made a crucial navigational gaffe.

While probing the murder of car salesman Collin Thomas outside the showroom of Universal Auto World in Lawrence, L.I., in January 2007, cops unraveled what they said was the massive scam at the dealership. The luxury models, including Maseratis and Aston Martins, were allegedly sold or transferred under the table to individuals who didn’t want cars in their real names.

Nassau County Police Lt. Kevin Smith said his department and city cops were investigating if accused cop shooters Dexter Bostic and Robert Ellis knew Thomas and were part of the scam.

Bostic aka Bostick worked as a car salesman at Five Towns Mitsubishi, just up the road from Universal on Burnside Avenue in Inwood. Ellis, who lived with Bostic, also may have once worked at Five Towns. “We’re investigating any links between these people,” Smith said. Collin Thomas had worked at Five Towns Chrysler, across the street, for several years before joining Universal Auto World. Thomas, 27, a father of two, was shot in the back as he closed up for the night on Jan. 11 2007.

As part of the homicide probe, Nassau County police raided the Universal Auto World dealership, owned by auto czar Michael Oshry, and Oshry’s Hewlett Harbor home and seized business records. Cops found banking records were sent to the house, though the state requires such files be kept at businesses, according to court papers filed in a civil forfeiture action by the Nassau district attorney.

“The dealership knew what was going on,” an investigator said. Oshry’s lawyer, William Petrillo, said his client “has not engaged in any criminal activity.”

His ex-wife, Pamela Geller, former assoc publisher of the NY Observer and conservative blogger (Atlas Shrugs) burst into tears when told her ex is under criminal investigation. Although listed in NY business records as (Pamela Oshry) a Universal Auto World co-owner, Geller denied it. “I have nothing to do with this.” Geller.

“The dealership (Michael Oshry) knew what was going on,” an investigator said, “all the way to the top”.

Ten managers and salesmen and Universal Auto World have been charged. Most defendants, including the dealership, were charged with scheme to defraud and grand larceny, as well as other charges.

Thomas’ fiancĂ©e, Cindy Heron, 21, said he was popular and successful. “All his customers loved him,” she said. Universal shut its doors June 22, 2007 and liquidated its assets.

Cops say Bostic and Ellis were in a black BMW SUV that Bostic had taken from the Mitsubishi lot when they fired at Officers Herman Yan and Russel Timoshenko. Dexter Bostic, who shot Timoshenko, was arrested for rape, assault, and robbery at age 16; after spending nine years behind bars, he was convicted again for an armed robbery committed less than a year after his release from prison.

Yet he was back on the street in 2004 after a mere three years in jail, and he has apparently been continuing his crime spree. Robert Ellis, who shot Yan, was convicted as a teenager of rape and sodomy. The driver of the stolen SUV, Lee Woods, also began his criminal career as a teen, serving time for possession of a loaded gun and assault on an officer.

He continued his violence in jail against prison guards and other inmates. Russel Timoshenko, 23, (photo above) died while on life support at Kings County Hospital from the injuries he suffered when he and his partner stopped the stolen black SUV in Brooklyn, according to Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 20-year-old U.S. citizen who traveled to Pakistan in 2008 "to engage in violent jihad" has been named as the eighth suspect in a North Carolina terrorism case, according to court documents released Monday.

Jude Kenan Mohammad is charged with conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists and conspiracy to murder, kidnap, maim and injure persons in a foreign country, according to a newly unsealed indictment. The indictment specifically mentions Mohammad's trip to Pakistan in October 2008. Authorities have said he is not in custody and is believed to be in Pakistan.

Mohammad's uncle, Evan Risueno, scoffed at the accusations. "I think it's ridiculous," said Risueno, who helped raise Mohammad. "He's not that kind of kid."

The indictment alleges that Daniel Boyd, 39, bought guns and led the group of men — all but one of them U.S. citizens — who were planning to kidnap, kill and maim people in other countries. The indictment also names two of Boyd's sons — Zakariya, 20, and Dylan, 22. The rest of the men were arrested last week and are scheduled to appear Tuesday in federal court for a detention hearing. Their family members have said the accusations are unfounded.

U.S. to Give Military Aid to Somali Government to Kill Al-Shabaab Terrorists After Shutting Down Their Website Hosted In Vancouver WA, USA.

U.S. to Give Military Aid to Somali Government to Kill Al-Shabaab Terrorists After Shutting Down Their Website Hosted In Vancouver WA, USA.

WASHINGTON -- On a seven-nation tour of Africa this week, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will pledge more U.S. assistance, including military aid, to
Somalia's shaky government as it fights for survival against Islamist extremists, Al-Shabaab.

U.S. officials say the Obama administration plans to go ahead with additional weapons supplies to double an initial provision of 40 tons of arms. The U.S. also has begun a low-profile mission to help train Somali security forces in neighboring Djibouti, said the officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivities surrounding U.S. involvement in the program.

Clinton will see Somalia's beleaguered interim president, Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed, on Thursday in Kenya, the first stop on her trip. She intends to reaffirm American backing of Ahmed's Transitional Federal Government.

Clinton's meeting with Sheik Ahmed comes at critical juncture for Somalia, which has not had a functioning government since 1991 and is home to a growing radical Islamist movement known as Al-Shabaab. The group, which U.S. officials say has links to al-Qaida, was designated a terrorist organization by Washington last year.

It's not clear if Clinton will make a specific contribution at the meeting. The administration's top diplomat for Africa, Johnnie Carson, said last week that "we are prepared to provide additional assistance to the (Somali) government." Carson added that the U.S. would also continue to support a small African Union peacekeeping force manned by soldiers from Uganda and Burundi.

Carson did not elaborate on the assistance. Other officials said a second batch of up to 40 tons of new weaponry, added to 40 tons that arrived over the past several months, will come from stockpiles held by African militaries. The United States would pay for it, officials said,

Allegations of Female Prisoner Abuse at Lowell C.I. Florida, Prisoner Bernadette Gregory Commits Suicide, by private investigator Bill Warner

Allegations of Female Prisoner Abuse at Lowell Correctional Institution Florida, Prison Inmate Bernadette Gregory Dies in Apparent Suicide While Handcuffed On "Psych Watch" by private investigator Bill Warner.

Prison Inmate Bernadette Gregory Dies in Apparent Suicide at Lowell Correctional “Hell Hole” in Ocala Fl, She Hung Herself in Secure “Tango Dorm” Lockdown, she was handcuffed in the front and had been placed in a single cell unit with a bunk bed (one on top of the other) and a stainless steel toilet, there were cameras mounted on the wall to supervise her, but no one was watching.

A 42-year-old inmate at a state prison for women died last week in an apparent suicide. The Lowell Annex, part of the larger Lowell Correctional Institution, is north of Ocala. Bernadette Gregory was serving a 14-month sentence at the annex for robbery, according to records from the Department of Corrections and the Marion County court clerk.

Prison Inmate Bernadette Gregory had a history of psychotic episodes and suicide attempts even before she was placed in Lowell C.I. on a snatch an grab robbery with no weapon, she was doing 1 year and 2 months with a "get out of jail card" for January 26th 2010. It appears from information from a Confidential Informant that Prison Inmate Bernadette Gregory hung herself with a sheet from the bunk bed and from the top edge of the bunk bed, she was supposed to be on "psych watch"with cameras rolling.

There are allegations that some of the male correctional officers (CO's) at Lowell C.I. (of which about 65% are male) are using threats of loss of gain time to coerce the female inmates into sex acts in the bathroom areas. I am no advocate for prison reform nor do I have any objections to Florida Judges imposing the harshest and longest prison time to fit the crime, but when those empowered to watch over and care for the incarcerated females become predators running a "good ole boy CO network" within the prison, it is time for a full blown investigation.

There is much more to this story, to be continued........................
