Back on April 11th, 2024, Red Cap Plumbing charged me $408 on a simple sink drain clog problem, they advertised a $99 special to unclog a sink drain, why so much more? I have requested a refund of the difference between the advertised price of $99 for simple drain unclog and the exhortative $408 that Red Cap Plumbing made me pay for same work! Red Cap Plumbing did a in-drain camera inspection of the pipes on April 11th, 2024, the Red Cap Tech Erick Young got the camera stuck in the sink drain pipe and forcefully tried to rip the camera out causing damage to the pipes, but camera still stuck in pipe. Erick Young is about 6' 2" tall and at least 320 lbs. Two more Red Cap Plumbing goons showed up and they attempted to drill a hole in the outside wall of my house, through a stucco wall on concrete block, no! The Two Red Cap goons then cut a hole in the wall under the sink to get Tech Erick Young's camera out. They did not repair hole in the wall under kitchen sink, I did.

Red Cap Plumbing check received for $250, drawn on Wells Fargo bank, they paid me on Jan 4th, 2025, 8 months after the initial complaint on April 11th, 2024, not a very timely response from these goons!

It has come to my attention that the Tampa Fl Red Cap Plumbing Tech, who goes by Eric, the guy who tore out the pipes to my kitchen sink, is actually Erick Young see his ID badge for Red Cap Plumbing above which was provided to me by yet another disgusted Red Cap Plumbing customer. It has also been called to my attention that other disgruntled and disgusted customers of Erick Young and Red Cap Plumbing lost thousands of dollars in the so called Hydro Flush scam (to supposedly to clean out old pipes) and that these customers also contacted Tampa's WFLA Shannon Behnken for help, "she never responded to us claimed the customer", see her story below!

RED CAP PLUMBING COMPLAINT SENT TO WFLA SHANNON BEHNKEN; From
J.S. Clearwater Fl; "They (Red Cap) had my elderly husband "finger sign" a bunch of stuff on an
iPad with just a big rectangle showing (just like what I did in Sarasota). Erick Young
(Red Cap) had emailed us in Clearwater the stuff we signed on 23 Nov 2022 but there was
no invoice in that email. We never saw the "invoice" until 1 Dec 2022,
when I called about the work not being done by Red Cap, the man who answered the
phone emailed it to us.
The charge to us was $8,000.00. A video of our drains, months later,
proved they did not do it or anything on the estimate, I have the video
on a thumb drive. All they did was damage. In the investigation by Mr Yeshua Stathos (former president
of Red Cap), we told him we signed nothing on the 25 of Nov.
The Red Cap Plumbing manager (Brian McGuinness) had emailed us a photo
of the iPad with the invoice on it. We showed that to Mr Yeshua Stathos,
he could tell from the photo of the iPad that it was Erick Young's iPad
(red cap), he looked at work records and using his phone and showed us
that Erick was not even in Clearwater on that date and there is no way
we could have signed that invoice on that date. I had called, FB
messaged and my husband emailed Bhenken (Shannon WFLA), she never
responded. The AG said to tell DBPR, I sent them a 34 page report full
of documents. DBPR said it was a civil matter untill we sent them the
Fl Statute 489.126 - they then did an investigation, a year later (Nov
of 23), and Red Cap had sold, the plumbing manager was fired and Red Cap
gave the bank back all the money, so DPBR did nothing. Pinellas County
consumer protection actually got Brian McGuinness to admit in an email
that the work was not done,
he said all the stuff on the estimate "auto populates", they closed the
case as more than they handle. Hillsborough consumer protection closed
the case as Red Cap would not respond, same thing with FDACS.
Wetherell later responded to FDACS, after they closed the case due to no
response, his response was out and out lies. I told FDACS and sent
them the proof BUT the case was closed so they did not even acknowledge
me. It seems that there are a lot of people who did not do their job.
Our State Rep, Kimberly Berfield sent a query (after I sent her a
report) to DBPR as to why they dropped the ball on this, I never heard
any more on it. If you (Bill Warner PI)
manage to find anyone interested in looking into Red Cap, I will gladly
provide our documents. This crap happens because no one will do
anything about it - I plan to send a report about how these tax funded

BACK ON APRIL 11, 2024: RED CAP PLUMBING DISASTER - HOW DO YOU GIVE NEGATIVE STARS ON YELP. Do not use Red Cap Plumbing out of Tampa Fl, ever! Red Cap came to my house today, Thursday April 11, 2024, their Tech did simple drain pipe clean out under sink and out to septic tank, they advertised a $99 special, but I had to pay $408 for the same exact work, with no valid explanation given, SCAMMERS.
The Red Cap Plumbing tech on April 11, 2024 claimed I needed to have another tech with a pipe camera come to my house to check out the pipes for the reason for blockage. Red Cap Plumbing camera tech Eric shows up, puts camera down sink drain pipe, sees other possible problems recommends huge upsell for "Hydro Flush" at $3,500, it turned out this was a scam as the drain never clogged again.
I say go ahead, but Red Cap tech Eric can not get his pipe drain camera out of the drain pipe under the sink, so he pulls as hard as he can, (camera tech Eric is about 6' tall and in excess of 320 lbs), and tears out PVC piping under my sink and his camera is still stuck about 4 feet into the sink drain pipe at the elbow junction.
Red Cap camera tech Eric called for back-up that took what feels like hours on April 11, 2024. In the meantime Red Cap camera tech Eric made himself comfortable and came into my living room and sat down on my leather sofa to watch the baseball game playing on TV, he never took off his filthy sewage gloves or washed his hands. Same day April 11, 2024, but much later, 2 more Red Cap techs show up with mini jack hammer and hammer drills and they proceed to set up outside to begin ripping out section of my exterior wall, (stucco on concrete block) to get camera tech Eric's so called $10,000 pipe camera out form my sink drain pipe. These 2 Red Cap goons never asked permission to bust through outside stucco wall by my front door, WTH!
ENOUGH, THIS IS FINAL STRAW FOR RED CAP PLUMBING GOONS, STOP EVERYTHING AND GET OUT OF MY HOUSE AND OFF MY PROPERTY. YOU ARE NOT TEARING OUT A SECTION OF MY OUTSIDE STUCCO ON CONCRETE BLOCK WALL (ABOUT 20 INCHES THICK) BY MY FRONT DOOR TO GET RED CAP PLUMBING TECH ERIC'S CAMERA OUT OF MY SINK DRAIN PIPE, JUST TOTAL INCOMPETENCE, FOOLS ALL OF THEM. Appears that they have a so-called "Annually $269 - Monthly $16.99. "No Dispatch Fee EVER", I never signed up for this. Joe the guy who answered the phone today at Red Cap Plumbing said he would cancel the charge, he did. On and on it goes with Red Cap Plumbing and their deceptive business practices. How many other Tampa Bay area residents are unknowingly being charged $16.99 a month for the Red Cap "No Dispatch Fee EVER", is it 100 customers, 500 customers or even 1,000 customers billed $16.99 a month by Red Cap, check your credit card billing statements.
