Pres. Obama will call on Americans to serve 50 to100 hours of community service every year & individuals over age 55 to promote Head Start, WHAT ?

America Serves, whether you want to or not, under President Obama's compelled community service corp to help inner cities disadvantaged youth.

The Obama Administration will call on Americans to serve in order to meet the nation’s challenges. President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in underserved schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps

PRESIDENT Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start.

Head Start is a program of the United States Department of Health and Human Services that provides comprehensive education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to low-income children and their families. Created in 1965 by the Head Start Act, Head Start is the longest-running program to address systemic poverty in the United States. As of

Head Start program has made some progress in improving the preparedness of disadvantaged preschool children, mostly low-income black children from inner city urban sites, for entry into our public schools. Datcher-Loury (1989) studied a group of low-income black children from three inner city urban sites to determine if differences in academic performance were attributable "to differences in behavior and attitudes among the families.

Based on the results of the students' achievement (Head Start) on reading and math tests and on interviews with and observations of the children's mothers, Datcher-Loury concluded that differences in family behavior and attitudes did have "large and important long-term effects on children's academic performance." Given these results, Datcher-Loury suggests that "programs aimed at altering parental behavior may be useful in helping to overcome the effects of economic disadvantage on children's scholastic achievement.

What if when an individual reaches 55 to 62 and he or she does not want to give up 50 to 100 hours a year to the "Head Start" and inner city urban programs, will their social security benefits be held back when they reach retirement age until they serve their time ?

Blood and Honour raids and arrest, Three people have been arrested for allegedly organising neo-Nazi concerts, Blood & Honour links to Vlaams Belang

Members of Blood & Honour from an earlier concert in Albury. (File Photo from 2007). Three people have been arrested for allegedly organising neo-Nazi concerts (Blood & Honour). The federal judicial authorities and the judicial authorities of Kortrijk and Veurne (West Flanders) have arrested three people who allegedly organised neo-Nazi concerts.

An investigation has been launched. The arrests were made after police raided several houses in Antwerp BELGIAN, Bocholt (Limburg province) BELGIAN and Gullegen (West Flanders) BELGIAN. Inspectors also seized computers and documents. The three have been taken in for questioning. (In the past, see below, Blood & Honour linked to the BELGIAN Vlaams Belang political party).

Two of them were released later today. The official charge is violation of anti-racism laws during the organisation of neo-Nazi
Blood and Honour concerts in Diksmuide (West Flanders) BELGIAN last weekend and in Bellegem (West Flanders, near Kortrijk) last April. The suspects possibly organised other concerts as well.

The investigation started after a German undercover journalist attended the Blood and Honour concert in Bellegem BELGIAN to make a tv-report. The judicial authorities have seized tv-footage from the gathering. Undercover police officers attending also noticed violations of racism laws. "Some were declaiming racist texts and others gave the Hitler salute", says Eric Van der Sypt of the federal judiciary.

Blood & Honour links to Vlaams Belang. See prior article on Blood and Honour and Vlaams Belang (Flemish Interest) Party; September 8, 2006,Police raid army barracks 'to foil Nazi terror plot' By David Charter in Brussels... BELGIAN police claimed yesterday to have foiled a neo-Nazi terrorist plot after arresting 11 soldiers and seizing a large quantity of weapons during raids on five army barracks. The federal prosectutor’s office said that the group had planned to destabilise the country and had apparently infiltrated the military. It had also amassed a sophisticated range of arms and explosives. Lieve Pellens, a spokeswoman for the office, said:

They were extreme right, with anti-Semitic and xenophobic ideals. They were recruiting in military circles with the aim possibly to move to action.” All the arrests were made in the Dutch-speaking Flanders region, where there has been a steady rise in support for the far-right anti-immigrant Vlaams Belang (Flemish Interest) Party. The suspects allegedly belonged to a breakaway faction of the far-right Flemish group Blood and Honour. Police also detained six civilians, who are expected to appear in court today. Prosecutors said that a two-year inquiry into the splinter group Bloed-Bodem-Eer-Trouw (Blood, Soil, Honour, Loyalty) led them to a stockpile of weapons that included a large quantity of ammunition, pistols, rifles and landmine detonators.

A statement relased by the prosecutor’s office said that those arrested were mainly “soldiers and people with an extreme-right ideology who clearly express themselves through racism, xenophobia, Holocaust denial, anti-Semitism and neo-Nazism” and that the alleged ringleader was a serving military man “who intended to put terrorist ideas into practice”. Le Soir newspaper identified the man as “B.T.”, a member of the Belgian Army’s 5th regiment.

It reported that police also found a bomb and detonator strong enough to blow up a car, gas masks, uniforms, propaganda material and neo-Nazi symbols and literature. Le Soir claimed that B.T. had built up the network over two and a half years, finding recruits who shared an extreme right-wing ideology, organising paramilitary training weekends and forging links with other outlawed groups such as de Nationale Alliante (the National Alliance aka National Formation see below) in the Netherlands.

The Blood and Honour
skinhead organization has a branch in Serbia, where it is called Krv i čast. On their official web site, members of the Serbian branch claim they intend "to propagate revolutionary idea of National Socialism without compromise. Also, the intention of Serbian Blood and Honour Division is to motivate all NS followers to radical activities and not only to passive observing or listening to the music." This organization, with chapters in several Serbian cities, organized several memorial concerts on the anniversary of Hitler's birth, starting in 2001.
Blood and Honour has a branch in Kula & Novi Sad Serbia, where it is called Krv i čast. Its website claims that the group intends "to propagate revolutionary idea of National Socialism without compromise. Also, the intention of Serbian Blood and Honour Division is to motivate all NS followers to radical activities.

Blood & Honour is a neo-Nazi music promotion network, founded in 1987, that is comprised of
white power skinheads and other white nationalists. The group organises white power concerts and distributes records by Rock Against Communism (RAC) bands. Ian Stuart Donaldson, singer of the band Skrewdriver, was the founder and one of the prominent leaders until his death in 1993.
Blood & Honour took its name from the motto of the Hitler Youth, Blut und Ehre. Sometimes the code 28 stands for Blood & Honour, derived from the second and eighth letters of the Latin alphabet, B and H.

Blood and Honour has a branch in Novi Sad Serbia, where it is called Krv i čast they link to Nacionalni stroj (National Formation), a neo-Nazi organization from the Vojvodina region (KULA & NOVI SAD), they orchestrated several incidents in 2005. Charges were laid against 18 of the leading members in late 2005, and each of them faced up to eight years in prison. The group was still active in 2008, as was demonstrated by a display of religious hatred.

THE "POWER OF THE PRESS" HAS BEEN AIDING IN SHUTTING DOWN JIHAD TERROR WEBSITES HOSTED IN THE USA DURING 2008, SOME NOT SO MUCH.

Begining with January 2008, there has been a full court press put on shutting down Al-Qaeda and assorted Jihad websites that are/were hosted by Web Companies in the USA with the aid of Newspapers and TV Stations that have put America's safety at the forefront (some Left Wing Media Newspapers #12 refuse to help).

The full court Press attack on terror websites started this year with the aid of the Media in Tampa Fl and Howard Altman the "Courts and Cops" Team Leader/Editor of The Tampa Tribune. See Michelle Malkin's 2006 article on Howard Altman at the Tampa Tribune, "he has another informative follow-up on Cyberjihad". Significant Jihad websites shut down in 2009 are the Somalia Al-Shabaab terror website in Vancouver WA and the pro Al-Qaeda Website of Samir Khan in Charlotte NC.  Cyber Vigilantes Stalk Terrorists on the Internet.

1). Local Firm Removes Jihadi Web Site By HOWARD ALTMAN The Tampa Tribune Published: January 28, 200..TAMPA - A Tampa Web-hosting company has taken down a Web site used by al-Qaida for communicating in secret and hiding files from investigators. The company, Noc4Hosts, took the action Monday after it was informed about the site by The Tampa Tribune. Noc4Hosts, at 400 N. Tampa St., is in an office building that also rents space to the Tampa district of the U.S. attorney's office.

2). Al-Qaida Web Site's Phoenix Hosts Follow Actions Taken In Tampa, By HOWARD ALTMAN, The Tampa Tribune, Published: February 2, 2008..For the second time this week, a Web site described as key to al-Qaida communications has been taken down by a hosting company after a call from a reporter. On Wednesday, the site was removed by a company in Phoenix after a call from the Arizona Republic newspaper. On Monday, a Web hosting company in Tampa removed a related site after a call from The Tampa Tribune. The site hosted in Phoenix - www.ek-ls.org - was one of six related al-Qaida sites previously hosted in Tampa, said Paul Henry an Internet security specialist.
Feb. 1, 2008 12:00 AM
A Web site used by al-Qaida to recruit car bombers, encourage war on the West and provide a forum for Islamic militants went online from Phoenix this week,
It moved from Tampa just a week ago to Arizona . The Web site, http://www.ek-ls.org/ , facilitates discussions on weapons, explosives and propaganda and often serves as a question-and-answer center for terrorists, a review of the Web site shows. The site, a well-known and popular forum for Islamic terrorists and their sympathizers, was the first to report the death of senior al-Qaida leader Abu Laith al-Libi in Pakistan this week. The north Phoenix company hosting the site took it down Wednesday, just hours after being contacted by The Arizona Republic. Bill Warner, a Sarasota, Fla., private investigator who has worked with federal agencies on terrorist-related issues, has been tracking terrorist-related Web sites for months. "The Web sites are a big part of the support network of terrorism financially," he said. "They use the Web sites to request money from the U.S. and the U.K. They ask people to take money to Pakistan." Warner said he blames Web-hosting companies for failing to monitor content. Instead, he said, they wait until the site is brought to their attention to take action. "All you've got to do is look," Warner said, pointing to the Phoenix Web site as an example. "You are one click away. First, there is a very benign front page, but all of a sudden, you see tanks being blown up and Osama bin Laden and martyrs. It doesn't matter that you can't read Arabic."

3). Jihadist Web Site Taken Down, By HOWARD ALTMAN, The Tampa Tribune
Published: February 19, 2008 TAMPA
-- One of al-Qaida supporters' oldest and most stable Web sites apparently was taken down this morning. It contained a 21-minute audio clip calling for Palestinians to attack Jews and the United States, according to organizations that track jihadists online. The site was taken down after a call from the Tribune to the host company, which operates in Tampa. Steve Eschweiler, general manager of Noc4Hosts Inc., could not immediately be reached for comment. The site -- http://www.alhesbah/ .net/v/ -- is the "principal and largest jihadi forum of supporters of al-Qaida and global jihad, and the oldest existing forums," said Reuven Paz, director of the Jerusalem-based Project for the Research of Islamist Movements.  Cyber Vigilantes Stalk Terrorists on the Internet.

4). Investigator Links 3rd Jihadist Web Site To Tampa Host, By HOWARD ALTMAN, The Tampa Tribune, Published: February 22, 2008, Tampa continues to be the focus of an international game of Internet whack-a-mole between jihadists who put up Web sites and organizations and individuals who try to shut them down. For the third time in a month, Sarasota-based private investigator Bill Warner has tracked to a Tampa hosting company what investigators call a significant Web site used by jihadists for communications, recruitment and fundraising. The company is based in the same building as the U.S. attorney's office.

5). TAMPA (Bay News 9), Feb 26, 2008, Terrorist web sites are being hosted by U.S. companies There are radical Islamic web sites now being hosted by U.S. companies and possibly even in Tampa. Sarasota private investigator Bill Warner said last year he discovered what is known as one of the largest jihadist web sites currently online being hosted through a web company in Tampa.

6). Cyber Vigilantes Track Extremist Web Sites, Intelligence Experts Balk at Effort Saturday, March 22, 2008, By Carmen Gentile FOX News; Cyber vigilantes typically troll the Internet, searching message boards, Web sites and media sharing sites for incendiary postings from people with ties to terror groups like Al Qaeda. Using Arabic translation software, they monitor postings and even assume fake identities to join online conversations. One of them is Bill Warner, a Sarasota, Fla.-based private investigator and a self-proclaimed cyber-crusader. Just last month alone, Warner was instrumental in helping shut down three Web sites hosted by a Tampa Internet service provider (ISP) that contained text, images and video related to attacks on U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

7). Unwittingly hosting terror, Islamists use US Web firms for recruiting; Agencies mine sites for data. By Bryan Bender Globe Staff / March 27, 2008. For more than a year, a Burlington-based Internet company hosted a website that taught its members how to outfit a suicide bomber, aired Al Qaeda propaganda videos, and offered an "exclusive" Taliban video showing the beheadings of three "spies," according to computer records. The English-language website, Leemedia.net, was taken down earlier this month - but not in a counterterrorism crackdown, government officials said. Instead, the Web server, Endurance International Corp. Inc., shut it down after Internet watchdogs made repeated demands to remove the terrorist material.

8). MSM Notices We PWND Lee Media, March 27, 2008 JAWA REPORT, We've graduated from the New York Times characterization as 'internet vigilantes' to the Boston Globe's 'internet watchdogs'. While the latter is preferable to the former, it kinda lacks, I dunno, pizzaz. The article is pretty fair but does cite sources within the intel community who think there is no real connection between online jihadis and actual jihadis--a claim we've debunked here dozens of times. No connection? Let's just look at the connection between Lee Media and actual terrorists: Thanks to Bill Warner who helped pass news of the Lee Media project on to the Globe.

9). Terror on the Internet: A Complex Issue, and Getting Harder, Greg Goth, MARCH 2008, IEEE DS Online Exclusive Content. The fight against terror on the World Wide Web, chat rooms, and forums tends to take a maddeningly circular route. Politicians demand a crackdown on the terrorist presence on the Web, calling on ISPs to develop new technologies that will block access to terrorist sites or to detect their origin and shut them down. Just as quickly, the sites’ operators relaunch from another host. Courts have found numerous efforts to thwart terror to be an abridgment of users’ rights of free speech.

10). U.S.-Based ISPs Count Known Terror Groups as Clients, By Brian Krebs, The Washington Post March 27, 2008 Herndon, Va.-based Network Solutions said Wednesday that it suspended Hizbollah.org, an official site of Hezbollah, a Lebanese political and paramilitary group. Turns out, Network Solutions, which was one of the original firms in the domain registration business, was accepting payment for the domain in violation of a U.S. law that bars American companies from doing business with organizations listed by Uncle Sam as terrorist groups.

11). The Columbian Newspaper, Tuesday, May 06, 2008, DOTSTER UNDER FIRE FOR WEB CONTENT IN VANCOUVER WA ....A group of self-described anti-terrorist vigilantes has put the heat on Vancouver-based Dotster Inc (see Jawa Report) for hosting an Arabic- and Somali- language Web site that frequently praises leaders in Somalia’s al-Qaida organization. Dotster officials said they pass along all complaints to law enforcement agencies, but unless required by law, the company does not remove its customers’ content from the Internet. The site under fire, www.kataaib.net , is associated with the al Shabaab movement in war- and genocide-torn Somalia, according to reports from the BBC and Reuters. In addition to praising Islamist militants, the site lists news about battles and bombings in Somalia. “Kataaib” is Arabic for “Brigades.”Florida resident Bill Warner, who describes himself as an anti-terrorist vigilante, is among a collection of online activists who want to use public pressure on Dotster to get kataaib.net shut down. Dotster, a Web registration and hosting company, generates revenue by hosting Web sites.

Warner, who has launched similar purge efforts in other cities with other Internet companies, says kataaib.net supports an al-Qaida organization in Somalia, where war and genocide are tragic facts of daily life."There are groups like this one that associate with al-Qaida through Web sites that help promote the ideology, help find new recruits and help the effort to support terrorism," Warner said in a Tuesday Columbian story by Courtney Sherwood. "It's not freedom of speech. This site should not be hosted in Vancouver." Cyber Vigilantes Stalk Terrorists on the Internet.

Iraqi insurgents expand the use of 'sticky' bombs, Magnetized devices to underside of vehicles & detonated by remote control, so far 200 times.

BAGHDAD -- Iraqi insurgents are increasingly using magnetically attached bombs known as "sticky IEDs" (Sticky Bombs were used in the WWII movie "Saving Private Ryan") to assassinate mid- and low-level Iraqi officials, Iraqi and U.S. officials said.

Rigged with magnets so they will adhere to the undersides of automobiles and detonated by remote control or with timers, the bombs have been used in Iraq sporadically since 2004. This year, U.S. military officials said, they have investigated roughly 200 cases involving magnetic bombs, and Iraqi officials said they have noted an increase in assassination attempts in which attackers use guns equipped with silencers. See my prior post, Thursday, November 06, 2008, Uptick in Baghdad attacks reveals new insurgent tactics, sticky IEDs mounted-on adhesive or magnets, Sticky Bombs right out of "Saving Private Ryan"

The magnetic bombs "are very dangerous and very difficult to discover," said Brig. Gen. Ali Abdul Ameer, a police commander in Baghdad. "It's stuck on in one place, and it blows up in another place."

Sticky Bombs Right out of "Saving Private Ryan", Alternately referred to as a sticky charge, sticky grenade or sticky bomb, the makeshift explosive employed by paratroopers during the Battle of Ramelle consisted of grease-covered socks filled with composition B or TNT explosive material. A fuse was inserted into the explosives and lit just before the explosive was placed on its target. Although the first attempt to use one of the sticky bombs failed, and the paratrooper holding the device was blown apart instantly, two other paratroopers successfully planted two sticky bombs on a German Tiger tank. The resulting explosions knocked off the tank's tread and succeeded in immobilizing the tank and blocking the street.

The bombs have been used against Iraqi government officials, particularly those who work in the army and police. Local leaders, judges, journalists and members of U.S.-backed Sunni armed groups also have been attacked.

U.S. and Iraqi officials did not release comparative data on the use of magnetic bombs in recent years. But Iraqi officials say the increased use of the weapons led them this year to warn all government employees to inspect their vehicles each morning and to avoid leaving cars unattended in unsecured areas.

Even when they are not responding to emergencies, Iraqi army and police officials drive through Baghdad with sirens blaring to avoid getting stuck in traffic, which is when the bombs are sometimes affixed.

Al-Qaida in Iraq "and other terrorist groups attempt to spread fear and intimidation among the public by use of these brutal tactics and try to create the perception that the Iraqi government is incapable of protecting local citizens," said a senior U.S. military intelligence official, speaking on the condition of anonymity.

Although U.S. military officials said magnetic bombs have not been placed under their vehicles, many American officials have begun to inspect their cars, even inside the protected Green Zone. Maj. Gen. Abdul Karim Khalaf, a spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, said "most of the attacks are against MOI officials, because this ministry started to become professional and we are targeting all kinds of outlaws." He said insurgents occasionally use glue to stick bombs to vehicles.

Khalaf said police recently detained 12 people suspected of carrying out assassinations using guns fitted with silencers, and have launched operations to target networks that use such weapons. "In the last three weeks, there's been a huge amount of activity with these kinds of operations," he said.

Before heading to work Tuesday morning, Ali Jabar Aduan got down on one knee to check the chassis of his car for explosives. Later that day, a sticky IED -- or improvised explosive device -- turned the government-owned Kia sport sedan he drives into a ball of charred metal.

PA State Police investigate cross burning on lawn of Barack Obama supporters in Apolacon Township near Little Meadows PA home to KKK rallies in 80's.

Police investigate cross burning on lawn of Barack Obama supporters;
APOLACON TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- After 5 1/2 years of watching scenes like deer grazing on apples beneath her tree and geese paddling in her pond, Ruth Cohen wasn't ready for what greeted her Wednesday: the remnants of a burned cross in her front yard.

"This is an outrage," said Cohen, 63, indicating the charred planks beneath the utility pole at the edge of the rolling Bowbridge Road site where she and Archie Johnson, 71, keep their home and business. "In this day and age, this kind of thing shouldn't happen."
See my prior post, Thursday, November 06, 2008, Mostly African American church in Springfield MA burned down 3 hours after Obama elected, $2.5 million in damage.

Cohen, a retired Queens school principal, is Jewish. Johnson, a retired architect, is black. It was not immediately clear whether the cross-burning was motivated by racism, anti-Semitism, or something else. Cohen believes the act may have been committed in frustration by someone unhappy with the presidential election of
Barack Obama, whom the couple supported.

State police are investigating. No arrests had been made Thursday night.
The couple discovered the remnants of the cross about 8:15 a.m. Wednesday when a man knocked at their door. Johnson looked out the front window and noticed charring on the utility pole, then discovered two charred 1-by-3-inch planks, each about 4 feet in length, beneath it.

Cross-burning is historically associated with racist groups like the Ku Klux Klan, which used the burnings to intimidate blacks and members of non-Protestant religious groups. The FBI said it investigated about 20 such incidents in a recent two-year period;
the Supreme Court ruled in 2004 that states can ban cross-burnings that are conducted as a means of intimidation.

Cohen noted that Johnson is about the only black person in Apolacon Township, in rural northwestern Susquehanna County; of the 507 residents counted in the last Census, 98 percent were white. Frank "Buck" Russell, a local carpenter and friend of the couple's, described Cohen and Johnson as "probably the nicest people you'll ever meet" and said he was shocked that someone would target them.

"There are probably some racists around here, sad to say," Russell said from Whitetail's Bar & Grill in nearby Little Meadows. "But in this day and age, in this country, it shouldn't make a difference if you're black, white, green or yellow ... this kind of thing shouldn't happen."

Russell, who has lived in the area all of his 51 years, said he examined the remains of the charred cross at the couple's request. He said the wood appeared freshly cut. "Whoever did this," he said, "had it planned."

The Little Meadows area was the site of KKK rallies several decades ago, and a local woman who worked on
Obama's campaign said Wednesday she heard tales of racist remarks directed at supporters. However, such overt acts of racism have been rare lately in the region, said Christina Archie-Brown, president of the Broome-Tioga Chapter of the NAACP. State police investigate cross burning on lawn of Barack Obama supporters in Warren County NJ

HARDWICK TWP. N.J. A family of Barack Obama supporters awoke Thursday to find a burned 6-foot cross on the front lawn of their home in northern Warren County N.J., police said. (Is the KKK going to make a comeback on the Barack Obama Presidency).

The charred cross was partly wrapped with a homemade congratulatory banner that declared "President Obama Victory '08" and had been stolen from the lawn the night before, police said.

"Living in the 21st century, and we have to deal with this -- in America," said Gary Grewal, 51, a native of India who lives with his wife and daughter, Arianna, on Millbrook Road in picturesque Hardwick Township, near the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. See my prior post, Friday, November 07, 2008, PA State Police investigate cross burning on lawn of Barack Obama supporters in Apolacon Township near Little Meadows PA home to KKK rallies in 80's.

Arianna, 8, spotted the banner wrapped around the burnt cross as the family walked toward their car to drive to school. "She saw it; that's what bothered me the most," Grewal said Thursday. "You can imagine the types of questions she was asking. It was very tough to explain." New Jersey State Police took the charred cross away in boxes to check for fingerprints or other evidence."We are treating it as a bias crime," said Lt. Gerald Lewis, a state police spokesman. See my prior post, Thursday, November 06, 2008, Mostly African American church in Springfield MA burned down 3 hours after Obama elected, $2.5 million in damage.

Police said that between 1 and 7:30 a.m. someone set ablaze a cross composed of a metal fence post and a couple of two-by-fours. "Fortunately, in this particular case, the victims weren't harmed," Lewis said.

Lewis said it was the first such incident state police had received information on in New Jersey. In Hardwick, the Obama/Joe Biden ticket garnered just 38 percent of the vote, but it was not substantially less than the 41 percent the ticket received in Warren County as a whole.

Grewal, a management consultant, has lived since 2001 in this largely rural Warren County community of about 1,500 people. He said Obama campaign signs were regularly swiped off his lawn. His wife, Alina, whose parents left Fidel Castro's Cuba to come to the United States, actively supported the Obama campaign in the largely Republican area.

Instead of being intimidated, Gary and Alina Grewal have been emboldened."I don't want anyone to dictate to me and my family how to live," Alina Grewal said. Gary Grewal vowed to make an even larger Obama congratulatory banner."I'm not going to be intimidated by something like this," he said. "I don't go on anyone's property and do this. God forbid if I was African-American. "We're living in the 21st century, and we've got to be afraid to express our beliefs?"

Connolly convicted of second-degree murder, Whitey Bulger's inside guy with the FBI finally got "traded up".

Connolly convicted of second-degree murder. MIAMI -- Retired FBI agent John J. Connolly Jr. was convicted today of second-degree murder for leaking information to long-time informants James "Whitey" Bulger and Stephen "The Rifleman" Flemmi that caused them to kill a potential witness against them 26 years ago.

The verdict, delivered by a Florida jury that deliberated for 13 hours following seven weeks of testimony, means that the 68-year-old Connolly faces spending the rest of his life in prison. See information on Whitey Bulger below;

D). Kevin Weeks gives up Whitey, SRQ Investigator Bill Warner, see YouTube video click here.

While convicting Connolly on one count, the jury found him not guilty of conspiracy to commit murder in the 1982 slaying in south Florida of John B. Callahan, a gregarious 45-year-old accountant who worked at some of Boston's largest accounting firms but had a fatal habit of socializing with gangsters.

Jurors apparently believed the testimony of the 74-year-old Flemmi, who is now serving a life sentence for 10 murders and testified that it was a tip from his handler, Connolly, that sealed Callahan's fate.

Facing his former handler from the witness stand, Flemmi testified that Connolly warned him and Bulger that the FBI planned to question Callahan and advised that he "wouldn't hold up'' and would likely implicate the gangsters in the 1981 slaying of a legitimate businessman, World Jai Alai president Roger Wheeler.

Hitman-turned-government witness John Martorano testified that at the urging of Bulger and Flemmi, he lured Callahan to Florida and shot him in the head. Callahan's bullet-riddled body was found in the trunk of his car at Miami International Airport on Aug. 2, 1982.

Though Connolly was only charged with Callahan's murder, prosecutors were allowed to present additional evidence dating back to the 1970s in an effort to prove that Connolly was corrupt.

After Connolly took a $25,000 kickback in 1983 that he knew came from drug proceeds, he joked, "Hey, I'm one of the gang." The defense called a number of witnesses, including US District Senior Judge Edward F. Harrington, who testified that Connolly had a reputation in the Boston FBI office for his ability to turn some of Boston's most dangerous criminals -- including Bulger and Flemmi -- into informants. He credited Connolly with using those informants to help the FBI decimate the New England Mafia in the 1980s.

The government's key witnesses were: Flemmi, Martorano, who is free after serving just 12 years for 20 murders; gangster-turned-author Kevin Weeks, who served five years for assisting Bulger in five murders; and John Morris, a former FBI supervisor who wept on the stand and admitted taking $7,000 in bribes from Bulger and Flemmi and leaking them information.

Uptick in Baghdad attacks reveals new insurgent tactics, sticky IEDs mounted-on adhesive or magnets, Sticky Bombs right out of "Saving Private Ryan"

Uptick in Baghdad attacks reveals new insurgent tactics. While American and Iraqi fatalities dropped to their lowest levels in October, the US military reports an increase in the use of 'sticky' bombs in targeted assassinations in and around Baghdad, WWII tactics used in 2008.
Right out of "Saving Private Ryan", Alternately referred to as a sticky charge, sticky grenade or sticky bomb, the makeshift explosive employed by paratroopers during the Battle of Ramelle consisted of grease-covered socks filled with composition B or TNT explosive material.

Bombs killed as many as 16 people in Baghdad Tuesday 11/04/08, and wounded dozens more, highlighting the fragility of the recent calm there and the complicated situation still facing American forces.

Attacks have become less common since US and Iraqi security forces began to "gain the upper hand," reports the BBC, although Tuesday was a grim reminder that Iraq is far from pacified, and that insurgents are
employing new tactics that the US is calling "sticky IEDs," improvised explosive devices. Iraqi security officials have been quoted saying insurgents are resorting to using smaller bombs and planting them in vehicles, with sticky adhesive or magnets.

UPI reports that on Monday US military officials said they had arrested several high-profile militants, some with ties to Al Qaeda in Iraq (AQI), in three days of operations in central and northern Iraq. Among those taken into custody Monday was a man who intelligence reports suggest oversaw the movement of bomb-making materials into Mosul, officials said. Eleven other suspects also were detained, American Forces Press Service said.

The New York Times reports that the bombings may be the result of sticky IEDs with mounted-on adhesive or magnets that can be stuck on to objects like cars and trucks. One sticky IED victim was a fish seller in Al Mashtal, the paper quotes a police colonel as saying. "I warned this fish seller only yesterday that his stand on the side of the street was not safe because anyone passing by could set an I.E.D. s blow him up, along with his customers," the police colonel said. "He didn't listen, and the poor guy lost his life in today's blast."

In October, the Washington Post reported that the US military "has
investigated roughly 200 cases involving magnetic bombs." It reported that the bombs have been used to assassinate Iraqi officials. One of Tuesday's attacks targeted a prominent Shiite politician, Ahmed al-Barak, a former member of the US-appointed Iraqi Governing Council, which helped administer the country until June 2004. The attack may also have been the result of a sticky IED, and killed one civilian and injured eight others, including five of Mr. Barak's body guards, it reports.
The more things change the more they remain the same, al-Qaeda picks up "Sticky Bomb " tips from American made Movies about WWII Soldiers and then use the "Sticky Bomb" techniques against US Soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.

NORTH CAROLINA JIHADI, JUDE KENAN MOHAMMAD, ARRESTED IN PAKI LAND TO JOIN THE TALIBAN, DID SAMIR KAHN'S NORTH CAROLINA TERROR WEBSITE INFLUENCE JUDE ? A U.S. official confirmed to FOX News that the name of the 20-year-old being held in Pakistan is Jude Kenan Mohammad, not Juddi Kenan, as previously reported. Officials told FOX News that Mohammad is part of an ongoing FBI investigation.

Oct.15 : The mother of a 20-year-old American college student, Jude Kenan Mohammad, detained by Pakistani officials in the tribal region along the Afghanistan border, told FOX News that her son's incarceration is a case of "misunderstanding." The North Carolina woman, who identified herself as the mother of Jude Kenan Mohammad, said that she recently contacted her son."I'm OK and he's OK. I don't understand. There must be a misunderstanding because my son is just fine. I'd rather not talk about it," she said. What radical jihad website located in Charlotte North Carolina could have provoked Jude Kenan Mohammad to make the trip to North Waziristan ?

A Pro-Taliban website is run out of Charlotte NC by Samir Khan, recruiting for the Taliban, see his hate spewing Anti-American site click here.

QUOTE FROM SAMIR KAHN; I would like to point out something before I continue; what you are about to read next has to be the most amusing thing ever in the news:
"Villagers said a wedding lunch had just ended when someone, perhaps a Taleban fighter, fired at international troops on a nearby hill, AFP reported. The soldiers returned fire and called in air support". Wait, so… you’re telling me that the American soldiers - armed to the teeth with the latest technological weaponry and shielding - called on air support for a single Afghan fighter who probably just had a rusted AK-47 and was wearing his traditional Afghan garb? Wow. Talk about cowardice to the highest degree.

I swear by Allah, when the Mujahideen say that the American soldiers are cowards, you better believe it. These people are the biggest chimpanzee fools with the flimsiest personalities. Alhamdullilah for Islam and the Muslims; our true followers have solid characteristics and morality that is refined with the sword of perfection. And this is only because they follow their Lord and worship Him to the best of their abilities. I can’t even think of an army in world history that is as cowardly as the modern day United States Army, may the curse of Allah be upon them all and their supporters.
