Two men were arrested at Manchester airport last week as they prepared to leave the country and a third, the brother of one of the other men, was detained in Accrington, Lancashire where he worked as a security guard so far five men have been arrested and three have been formerly charged with terrorism offences.

Counter-terrorism sources said the arrests related to a statement which appeared on an Arabic language website called http://www.al-ekhlaas.net/ , which often carries messages from senior members of al-Qaeda.

The message, written in English, appeared only briefly on January 24, and claimed to be from Shaykh Umar Rabie al-Khalaila, "The leader of al-Qaeda in Britain." (THE AL-QAEDA WEBSITE WAS SHUT DOWN BY THE TAMPA TRIBUNE ON JANUARY 28TH 2008)

In it, the message demanded the withdrawal of troops from Iraq and Afghanistan and the release of prisoners from Belmarsh high security jail in south east London including the radical clerics Abu Hamza al-Masri and Abu Qatada.Qatada was later released after an Appeal Court ruling and put under house arrest.

It is understood the men had been under surveillance by police and two were arrested as they prepared to leave the country for Finland.

The message demanded: "We, the organization of Al-Qaeda in Britain, offer a truce to the British government."Our demands are as follows:

"I. A complete withdrawal of the British troops from Afghanistan and Iraq.

"II. To free all Muslim captives from Belmarsh prison, and the foremost of them Shaykh Abu Qatada al-Filistini and Shaykh Abu Hamza al-Misri [sic]."Referring to the leader of al-Qaeda and a man said to be the leader of the "Islamic state of Iraq" the statement went on: "If the British government fails to respond to our demands by the last day of March 2008 as they fail to answer to the truce of our Shaykh Usama bin Laden and to the truce of the Emir of Believers Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, then the Martyrdom seekers of the organisation of al-Qaeda in Britain will target all the political leaders especially Tony Blair and Gordan Brown [sic], and we will also target all Embassies, Crusaders Centers and their Interests through out the country, with the help of Allah."

It signed off: "Finally, all praise is to Allah. " The men arrested were all British-born Muslims of Asian origin from Blackburn, Lancashire.

TAMPA - A Tampa Web-hosting company has taken down a Web site used by al-Qaida for communicating in secret and hiding files from investigators. The company, Noc4Hosts, took the action Monday after it was informed about the site by The Tampa Tribune. Noc4Hosts, at 400 N. Tampa St., is in an office building that also rents space to the Tampa district of the U.S. attorney's office.

We followed up with the Arizona Republic on Feb 1st 2008 see here. No one has put two and two together about the date of the threat to Brown and Blair on the Al-Ekhlaas website on Jan 24th and the date that Al-Ekhlass http://www.al-ekhlaas.net/ was shut down on Jan 28th for about 10 days by us.

There was a lot of media and internet coverage of the Tampa Tribune and Arizona Republic stories in the USA from Jan 28th 2008 to Feb 3rd 2008 on shutting down http://www.ek-ls.org/ the website for Al-Ekhlaas Forum and all the other mirror sites they use.

http://www.el-ls.org/ was the mother ship for Al-Ekhlaas forum and at least 5 other mirror sites that were hosted in Tampa and Phoenix at the time the threat was posted and all of those sites were shut down for at least 10 days after the stories in the USA came out.

The dates of the posting of the threat to kill PM Gordon Brown and ex-PM Blair were posted on www.ek-ls.org/forum on Jan 24th, 2008, the Tampa Tribune and the Arizona Republic were able to disrupt service for www.ek-ls.org/forum for at least 10 days from January 28th 2008 until they found a server in Malaysia, this is very significant.

Following are the Al-Qaeda websites shut down on Jan 28th and Feb. 1st, 2008 in Tampa Fl and Phoenix AZ that were posting the plot to kill PM Gordon Brown and Tony Blair . The ones in Tampa were all the same Al-Ekhlaas Forum website with just different mirror-site variations, they all have the same IP address 206.51.236.135 .

The Al-Ekhlaas dirtbags had to get a new IP address when they moved to Phoenix AZ and then another new IP address when they finally got up and running in Malaysia after being banned in the USA. All of the following websites are now active out of the Malaysia web hosting company.

A picture of a Taliban fighter in the uniform of a dead French soldier (see above) drew anger in France yesterday as the army came under new fire over its conduct in an ambush that killed ten paratroopers in Afghanistan last month and then the Taliban were photographed posing with their French trophies from the battle, east of Kabul, on August 18.

These included Famas assault rifles, helmets, body armour, walkie-talkies and a wristwatch that the Taliban asked the magazine to return to the family of the soldier who had owned it.

A Taliban commander identified as Faruki told Match reporters that the insurgents would kill all the French in Afghanistan unless they pulled out of the Nato operation there.

The Taliban are a sub-human race of Islamic terrorists who fit right in with Al-Qaeda and bin-Laden, during the 1980's when the Russians were in Afghanistan, captured Russian soldiers were put into ovens and baked alive. "In late 2001 Taliban soldiers on the backs of the pick-up trucks began machine-gunning the morning crowds in the small village of Dasti Qala. They felled soldiers and pensioners, shopkeepers and packs of schoolchildren. In minutes the pavements were awash with blood. Even the dogs and cats were targeted in the killing spree".... Emotion over the report was sharpened by harrowing new accounts of bungling by French and Nato forces in the bloodiest engagement by French troops for over two decades. "We are sickened," a soldier at the French base at Kabul, said of the photographs. "After killing our mates it's like the Taliban coming and pissing on their coffins," the unnamed private told Europe 1 radio.

Hervé Morin, the Defence Minister, said that Match was advertising for the enemy. "The Taliban are waging a war of communication with this kind of operation. They have understood that public opinion is probably the Achilles’ heel of the international community that is in Afghanistan,” he said.

Joel le Pahun, the father of one of the dead soldiers, called the photographs pitiful. "It hurts a lot to see these murderers parading with the clothes of the kids that they have killed," he said. Eric de Lavarene, the journalist who interviewed the Taliban, denied being used by them. The Taliban account was legitimate news, he said. “No one talks of propaganda when we work embedded with Nato troops, yet information is always very tightly controlled on those occasions,” he said.

The shock of the pictures compounded anxiety over France's involvement in Afghanistan. The ambush, which took place after President Sarkozy committed 700 new troops to the fighting, sharpened public opposition and misgivings in his own centre-right party towards the French engagement. Several parents of dead soldiers have blamed Mr Sarkozy on television for the deaths of their sons. Senior military officers have been publicly critical of the war.

Commanders are expected to be disciplined over errors that led to the deaths of the ten men and and the wounding of 23 others on the mountainside at Uzbeen, 30 miles from Kabul. Le Monde newspaper reported today that a Gendarmerie investigation had found that if took three hours for reinforcements to reach the French troops after they were pinned down.

Commanders are also being criticised for failing to carry out reconnaissance before sending a column into a dangerous area. The lack of helicopter support and other air support was also a handicap. "We were under the ridge and we felt that we had been left alone and that we had been f***ed," one of the survivors told Le Monde. Several of the soldiers died of their wounds after being left untended for hours on the hillside, it said.

"Two people died after they were hit by stray bullets in our neighborhood and four others were severely wounded," Hussein Isse, an eyewitness in Wardigley district of Mogadishu where some of the fighting took place, told Xinhua.

The fighting began after Islamist insurgent attacked government military bases around the presidential palace in Mogadishu with mortars and rocket propelled grenades while government forces responded with heavy artillery shells in and around Bakara market in the south of the restive Somali capital. Witnesses in Bakara market, the largest in Somalia, said that two more civilians were killed by the shrapnel while six others were injured. Somali government military spokesman confirmed that insurgent fighters attacked their positions in the early hours of the morning. He said that the fighters were repulsed back.

Meanwhile, Sheik Muqtar Robow, spokesman for Al-shabaab Islamist fighters, claimed that his fighters "inflicted heavy losses" on Somali government troops.

The spokesman of the Mujahideen of Al-Shabaab Sheikh Mukhtaar Robow Ali Abu Mansuur who held a press conference after the battle of today, have announced a new plan under the title “No Peace without Islam”. Abu Mansuur( may Allah preserve him) have told that this plan will continue until the 6 of Shawaal, which is the month coming after the blessed month of Ramadan, and he said that on between these two months they will operate continuous, insha allah.The beginning of this plan was this morning, when the Mujahideen of Al-Shabaab strongly targeted the Presidential Palace and other targets with caused great damages for the enemy. About the attack today Abu Mansuur said that the enemy was defeated and they suffered great casualties, and they have also captured the leader of the army, and at the same time they took over weapons and other military equipments. The Sheikh asked Allah(sw) to heal those mujahideen who were injured and to accept those who were martyred as martyrs.

Speaking in a press conference by phone, Robow told reporters that his group would intensify their attacks on Somali government forces and Ethiopian troops during the holy month of Ramadan which started three days ago "We will increase our attacks on the enemy of Allah during this holy month because we are fighting in the way of Allah and we will go to heaven should anyone of us die," Robow said.

The Al-Shabaab Islamist movement has been opposed to the agreement signed between the Somali government and a faction of the opposition coalition, the Alliance for the Reliberation of Somalia (ARS) in Djibouti in June.

The FBI is raising the reward for Top Ten fugitive James “Whitey” Bulger to 2 million dollars and has released new age-enhanced photos to help catch him.
James Bulger is wanted for his role in numerous murders in the 1970s and 80s.
He was head of an organized extortion and drug ring in the Boston area.
The newly enhanced images show Bulger with and without a mustache and glasses.

The images supplement surveillance video and audio the FBI has already released in hopes the public might recognize the fugitive.

In the video from 1980, Bulger is chatting with another man at the Lancaster Street Garage and at the Howard Johnsons in Boston, Massachusetts. Born in 1929, Bulger has been known to alter his appearance using disguises. He’s traveled extensively in Europe, Mexico and Canada. He’s an avid reader with an interest in art and is know to frequent historic sites.

He stays fit by walking on beaches and in parks with a female companion.
In January the Bulger Fugitive Task Force released audio recordings of Bulger taken before he was a fugitive. The hope is that someone will recognize the unique characteristics of his voice and report it.

The crowd's loudest reaction of the night came when Thompson said the United States needs a president who doesn't believe that the protection of the unborn is above his pay grade - a thinly veiled swipe at Barack Obama.

Obama supports abortion rights, while McCain opposes them. In his speech to the convention, Lieberman added: "We are a nation at war. We need a president we can count on to fight for what's right for our country - not only when it is easy, but when it is hard."

Other notes in Siddiqui’s possession referred to the construction of "dirty bombs," and discussed various ways to attack "enemies," including by destroying reconnaissance drones, using underwater bombs, and using gliders.

The Director of National Intelligence asserted that Majid Khan, currently held at Guantanamo Bay, "had links to al-Qa'ida operatives and facilitators, most notably, Aafia Siddique, a US-educated neuro-scientist and al-Qa'ida facilitator, who assisted Majid with documents to hide his travel to Pakistan from US authorities to reenter the United States." If convicted, Siddqiui faces a maximum sentence of: 20 years in prison on each of the attempted murder and armed assault charges; life in prison on the firearm charge; and eight years in prison on each of the remaining assault charges. Published Date: September 03, 2008 CAIRO: Egyptian tycoon Hesham Talaat Mustafa was charged yesterday with paying two million dollars for the brutal killing of Lebanese pop singer Suzanne Tamim, reportedly his one-time lover.

Mustafa was arrested and charged with ordering the murder of Tamim at her upmarket flat in Dubai in July, Egyptian prosecutor Abdel Meguid Mahmud said in a statement carried by the official MENA news agency. Tamim, 30, who rose to fame after winning a Lebanese talent show in 1996 but recently had disappeared from the public eye, was stabbed several times and her throat cut, allegedly by a retired policemen paid by Mustafa.

The indictment charges former police officer Muhsen El-Sukkari with killing Tamim on July 28 in return for $2 million from the businessman.Egyptian media reports have said that Sukkari worked as a security officer at the Four Seasons Hotel in the Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheikh, which Talaat Moustafa built.

The indictment says Moustafa "took part through incitement, agreement and assistance with the first defendant (Sukkari) in killing the victim in revenge". "He provided him with special information and amounts of money necessary to plan and carry out the crime," it said. The upper house of parliament has stripped Moustafa of the legal immunity which he enjoyed as a member, it added. The businessman is a member of the ruling National Democratic Party, which is led by President Hosni Mubarak.

Stabbed to death; Sukkari went to Tamim's apartment in Dubai on July 28 and gained access by pretending to be a representative of the company which owns the building, bringing a present and a letter of thanks from the company, the indictment said. "He then laid into her with the knife ... cutting her main arteries and her trachea," it added. "This was on the instigation of the second defendant in return for obtaining from him the sum of $2 million for committing this crime," it said. Beyond the reference to "revenge", the indictment did not speculate on Moustafa's motives for his acts.

Mohamed Fouad, managing director of Global Capital, said the indictment was likely to hit the whole Egyptian market. "This will have a very serious negative effect on the company, the sector and the market," he said.He (Hesham Talaat Moustafa) is not just anybody. He is the head of one of the biggest companies in Egypt, one which is highly dependent on his presence," he said. The scope of the effect will not be clear before we know how solid the financial situation of the company is and to what extent it can survive the possibility of him being convicted.

Tamim, who was 30, rose to fame after winning the top prize in a television show in 1996. She married Lebanese impresario and producer Adel Matouk, who became her manager, but they later had an acrimonious divorce, media reports said.

DUBAI; An Egyptian tycoon with ties to the Egyptian government was arrested yesterday with ordering the contract killing of the Lebanese singer Suzanne Tamim in her Dubai flat in July. Hisham Talaat Mustafa, the chairman of the board of Egypt’s largest publicly traded real estate company, was charged with ordering and paying for the killing, according to Abdel Meguid Mahmoud, an Egyptian prosecutor.

Egyptian prosecutors had banned media reports on the case, which has caused intense interest in Egypt and further afield. The state news agency said Mr Moustafa had now been stripped of his parliamentary immunity. He could face the death penalty if convicted. Egyptian media has reported that Ms Tamim had a three-year relationship with Mr Moustafa which ended several months ago, the affair existed while Suzan Tamim was married to Adel Ma’touk and involved with a London UK kickboxer.

The Egyptian state agency MENA reported that Mustafa, whose company is worth several billion dollars, is being held pending trial. Mustafa, a stalwart of the ruling National Democratic Party, is also a member of the Shura Council, Egypt’s upper house of parliament.

Mr Mahmoud also confirmed that a retired Egyptian policeman, Mohsen el Sokari, had been charged with carrying out the murder. He was allegedly paid US$2 million (Dh7.345m) to kill the singer. Mr Mahmoud said Mustafa was accused of providing Sokari with “all the needed money for planning and executing the crime”, and with helping him obtain visas to the UK and the UAE as he pursued Tamim.

Mr Mahmoud said he had contacted the Shura Council to allow police to charge Mustafa. Following a request from the prosecutor, the Shura speaker, Satwaf Sherif, stripped Mustafa of the immunity from prosecution accorded all members of the legislature. Talaat Mustafa Group also said it had appointed his brother, Tarek Talaat Mustafa, in his place. “The decision comes after a meeting of the board which took place today [Tuesday] and was unanimously approved,” it said. Last month, copies of the Egyptian newspaper Al-Dustur were withdrawn from sale after it reported that “an important Egyptian figure” who was “highly influential” was allegedly involved in Tamim’s murder.

Mr Mahmoud later referred the newspaper’s managing editor to public prosecutors for breaking a ban on reporting the case. Ms Tamim, 31, was found dead in the living room of her flat at the Jumeirah Beach Residence on July 28, hours after a late-night gathering in her apartment. She suffered several knife wounds to her face and body, but was not decapitated, contrary to some reports at the time.Last month, a day after it was confirmed that the investigation into the murder was closed, police said they had arrested the man suspected of stabbing Tamim to death.

After launching her singing career in 1996, Tamim became as well known for her private life as for her singing.In 2005, she was questioned by Interpol in Egypt over claims that she stole US$350,000 (Dh1.28 million) from her estranged husband. She also faced allegations in Egypt of being involved in a heroin smuggling ring with her father, and was also accused, with her father and an Egyptian businessman, of trying to murder her then-husband.

Shares in Mustafa’s company, Talaat Mustafa Group, which were trading for 11 Egyptian pounds (Dh7.5) in November, were down sharply to 4.99 pounds on the Egyptian Stock Exchange yesterday.

From initially reading the Arrest Affidavit and OCSD interview of Casey Anthony it struck me immediately that Casey Anthony was not being truthful with the Orange County Sheriff's Department (OCSD) in the whereabouts of her then 2 yr old daughter Caylee. No mother of a small child losses track of her daughter for almost 30 days and then tells the OCSD (after Cindy Anthony forced a 911 phone call from Casey) she had been looking for the supposed babysitter (that did not exist) in a series of Orlando bars and clubs, pure nonsense and what is more pure nonsense is that the parents of Casey Anthony, Cindy and George, believe Casey, and had no problem with Caylee going "missing" for almost 30 days, when Casey, Caylee, Cindy and George Anthony all live in the same house ?

I work on facts and I have gone through all the documents made public by the OCSD and Casey Anthony appears to be a pathological liar and most likely a sociopath, as was pointed out in OCSD interviews about her missing daughter Caylee, as she shows no emotion.

There is a very big problem here, the 2 yr old daughter Caylee is confirmed dead by the OCSD, the grandmother Cindy is still appealing for search teams to find Caylee, alive. The Bounty Hunter, Leonard Padilla, who came to town to solve the case (without reading the arrest report or OCSD interviews available on-line) is pulling up stakes and heading home with his nephew Tony Padilla pulling the $500,000 Casey Anthony bond from Al Estes in Clearwater Fl and Casey Anthony was re-arrested on fraud charges by the OCSD.

One giant circus in Orlando revolving around the loss of a beautiful little 2 years old girl and a series of incredible lies that the Anthony family is still putting out to protect Casey, what a waste, and then there is the very possible "Made for TV Movie Deal" that is the reason for all of this circus atmosphere with the "Bounty Hunters" from California riding in. Several people from the California bail bonds company helped Anthony post bond, saying she might be more likely to talk about her daughter's disappearance if she were released from jail. But a bounty hunter with the California company said Friday 8/29/08 he no longer believes the girl is alive. "Absolutely not," Leonard Padilla said. Clearwater-based bondsman Albert Estes, who shares the same surety group as Padilla's company and helped post Anthony's bond, did not immediately return a phone message. Anthony family spokesman Larry Garrison called the re-arrest on fraud charge a "three-ring circus."

UPDATE Monday 9/01/08...The mother of a missing Florida girl is back in jail after she was arrested on charges of check fraud and theft charges and a California bounty hunter withdrew his $500,200 bond for Casey Anthony on her original child endangerment charges. Tony Padilla said he surrendered the bond due to new evidence and "heightened security concerns."

Bounty Hunter Leonard Padilla helped Casey get out of jail the first time, but Eyewitness News was told that this time the person who posted her bond wants to stay anonymous. Two bond agencies Macdonald Bail Bonds and Miller Bail Bonds, both out of Kissimmee worked together to post the $500,000 bond. A press release fax came in on9(/04/08 from "Press Corps Media Plus" (615) 254-1400, e-mail presscorpsmedia@aol.com , stating that the lawyer for Casey Anthony will not reveal who paid the $50,000 cash to post the second $500,000 bail bond.

The "black" back story here is the involvement Leonard Padilla, who hosts a TV show called "Bounty Hunters" on National Geographic, who told Local 6 News in mid August 2008 that he has been talking to Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, about bailing his client out of jail. Leonard Padilla told Local 6 News that his nephew, Tony Padilla, a bail agent, traveling to Texas and made arrangements with a company to secure the entire $500,000 bond, since gone over to Al Estes Bail bonds in Clearwater, and since recinded and Casey Anthony went back to jail.

Baez could not be reached for comment about the first bond of $500,000 and will not make any comments on who posted the 2nd $500,000 bond, both bonds required $50,000 cash up front and there is no way Leonard padilla paid the first $50,000, so who has laid out a total of $100,000 in cash to keep Casey Anthony out of jail ?

The e-mail stated: "On Sunday, August 17, World Famous Bounty Hunter Leonard Padilla and his nephew Tony Padilla, owner of Tony Padilla Bail Bonds of Sacramento, CA., will be traveling to Orlando with two of Leonard Padilla's associates. Tony Padilla will be posting a $500,000.00 bond for the release of Casey Anthony (who paid the $50,000 cash up front)."

Anthony Family Appoints Spokesman; Also on Friday, the family of Caylee Anthony appointed a spokesman known for his work on other high-profile cases. Larry Garrison will now be answering questions from the media, Cindy Anthony said. Larry Garrison, president of production company Silver Creek Entertainment, co-authored a book on the disappearance of missing Alabama teenager Natalie Holloway. Garrison was also a spokesman for the family of "Nut-job" John Mark Karr, the man who gained notoriety for falsely confessing to the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey.

UPDATE 9/06/08.. Casey's parents, George and Cindy Anthony, provided part of the $50,000 needed to secure her $500,000 bond on a child neglect charge and an anonymous donor put up the rest. Casey's attorney, Jose Baez refused to comment on the bond being posted, but his public relations firm put out a statement Thursday evening. "The individual posting the bond prefers to remain anonymous and is doing it because of the belief that Ms. Anthony's constitutional rights have been grossly violated," the statement reads (read full statement).
Press Corps Media, a group claiming to help Jose Baez with media requests told Eyewitness News national organizations and a dozen individuals who support Casey came forward to help. A Press Corps Media representative told Eyewitness News they have additional money set aside to post another bond if Casey is re-arrested and put back in jail. Todd Black said, “No media outlet paid to get her out… No production company paid to get her out… I cannot discuss organizations or individuals we are in contact with regarding bail." Press Corps Media said the groups were required to sign confidentiality agreements.

So who signed the movie deal at the Anthony house, who is profiting from this horrible story and who paid the "Tony Padilla Bail Bonds Co/ Al Estes Bail bonds" the $50,000 cash down to cover the first $500,000 bond AND on September 4th 2008 who paid the $50,000 cash AGAIN as two local Orlando Bail bond firms re-posted the $500,000 bond on Casey Anthony after the Padill Bail bonds pulled out of the first deal , gee I wonder, money talks, could it possibly be the movie producer Larry Garrison who set up shop inside the Anthony home just before Casey Anthony made bail the first time ?
