Swedish Former Guantánamo Prisoner Mehdi Muhammad Ghezali Arrested in Pakistan And Linked to Al-Qaeda, Again, So Much for Him Being Not Al-Qaeda.

National News
2009-09-10

One of the three Swedish citizens who last week where arrested in Pakistan is, according to public broadcaster SVT, Mehdi Ghezali, who for several years was imprisoned at the U.S. military base at Guantánamo Bay on Cuba,he was carrying a Swedish passport bearing the name Mehdi-Muhammed Ghezali. Ghezali reportedly was part of a group of 156 suspected al-Qaida fighters caught while fleeing Afghanistan’s Tora Bora mountains, Pakistani authorities arrested him in 2001.

According to reports in Pakistani media, the three Swedes were arrested together with seven Turks and one Russian, suspected for collaboration with the jihadist terror network al Qaida. According to SVT the three arrested Swedes have been taken to the Pakistan capital Islamabad. The 12 foreigners were arrested Aug. 28 in the town of Dera Ghazi Khan. Police said at the time they had allegedly sneaked in from Iran and were planning to travel to the tribal areas. One was carrying a laptop computer and $10,000.

In December 2001 the 30-year-old Ghezali was arrested in Pakistan, close to the border near the Tora Bora Mountains in Afghanistan and was shortly thereafter handed over to U.S. military. Ghezali was released from the Guántanamo base in July 2004, without having been brought to justice. The United States never told what crimes he was a suspect of.

After returning to Sweden, Ghezali claimed to have been subjected to torture, but refused to answer any questions about why he had been in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Pakistani authorities also have suspected Ghezali to have been involved in a prison uprising where 17 people were killed, this he has denied.

Gosta Hulten, the chairman of a Swedish activist group working for the release of prisoners from Guantanamo, told a local newspaper Ghezali’s father had told him he spoke to his son several days ago. “I spoke to Mehdi’s father a few hours ago. He said that Mehdi called a few days ago from Saudi Arabia where he has been on a pilgrim journey for several weeks (what a load of bull-crap),” Hulten, the chairman of the Guantanamo Group, was quoted as telling Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet

FROM THE ISLAMIC JIHAD PROPAGANDA WEBSITE CAGEPRISONERS....Mehdi Muhammad Ghezali was born in 1979 in Stockholm, Sweden. His father is Algerian and his mother is Finnish. He grew up in the Swedish town of Orebro. He had a promising career as a footballer ahead of him before being captured. The Swedish prisoner's father, Halima Ghezali, interviewed by telephone from Orebro, Sweden, said his son, Mehdi, went to Pakistan to study Islamic jurisprudence before the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. "He had no contact with the Taliban," Mr. Ghezali said. "He is not Al Qaeda." Swedish intelligence officials who had visited him in Guantanamo told his father that they did not believe Mehdi was involved in any improper behavior or any connection to any illegal groups. "So why is he there so long?" Mr. Ghezali said. ALL AMERICAN LIES THEY SITE..................

Just in Time For 9/11 The Al-Qaeda Website al-Ekhlaas Forum Has Re-appeared On The Internet.

There back, the al-Ekhlaas Forum, Same Jihad Guys From Last Year and hosted in the USA, again.  Investigator Links 3rd Jihadist Web Site To Tampa Host.

Feb./08...For the third time in a month, Sarasota-based private investigator Bill Warner has tracked to a Tampa hosting company what investigators call a significant Web site http://al-ekhlaas19.net/   used by jihadists for communications, recruitment and fundraising. The company is based in the same building as the U.S. attorney's office.  Warner, who says he tracks jihadists online to disrupt their activities, says he noticed  that the site once again is being hosted by Noc4Hosts.

The site, http://www.alekhlaas.info/ , appears to show images of mujahedeen firing on U.S. troops in Afghanistan, among other images. The Web site was hosted by Noc4Hosts Inc. until it was taken down this month after a call from The Tampa Tribune. Previous incarnations of the Web site have contained programs to give jihadists more secure communications capabilities. This week, another site considered to be a key conduit for jihadists was taken down by Noc4Hosts after a call from the Tribune. That site, www.alhesbah.net/v/ , is considered the principal and largest jihadist forum of supporters of al-Qaida and global jihad and the oldest, said Reuven Paz, director of the Jerusalem-based Project for the Research of Islamist Movements.
The al-Ekhlaas forum is back. Their new links are:

FROM THE BLOG OF TERRORIST FACILITATOR SAMIR KHAN IN CHARLOTTE NC,,
For those of you who don’t know, the al-Ekhlaas Forum is considered to be one of the top-notch jihadi forums. It was shut down sometime last year (I think September?). This forum has members of various jihadi movements that post their works here for the world to see. When they went down, the al-Fallujah forum took this position. Al-Fallujah has gone off and on quite a few times the past year, but is currently running into some issues. Now, there’s a few observations I have made about this al-Ekhlaas announcement: The usage of the number 19 in their URL. Why 19? My best guess is that since 9/11 is tomorrow, the forum is dedicated to the 19 hijackers. This follows my second point.  Why do they say it’s a gift from Shaykh Usama? It could possibly be that the forum was strategically chosen to appear on the anniversary of 9/11, to anger the Kuffar, and please the Mu’mineen.  I remember that on every 9/11, the forums get smashed heavily and get taken down. So for this forum to appear the day before could say that they are ready for any event.  Since this is supposed to be something that al-Fajr Media is bringing back, I find it very odd that their official message doesn’t bear the al-Fajr signature. And this is happening at a time when all the major Jihadi forums went down recently (Al-Ansar (their arabic one), al-Shamoukh, al-Faloja, and al-Qimmah). I’d rather not go into that right now nor my thoughts on it, but that’s just something to think about. My advice is to not register with the al-Ekhlaas forum for now.

The al-Ekhlaas forum is back.

Private investigator Bill Warner says Daphne Ala. terror suspect Omar hammami aka Abu Mansour al-Amriki linked to jihadist Web site of Al-Shabaab http://www.kataaib.net/ , ABC News confirms al-Amriki is head of propaganda for Al-Shabaab.

Thursday, September 10, 2009, By BRENDAN KIRBY, Staff Reporter..NEWS-REGISTER Daphne Ala.

A Web site used by a Somali jihadist group that has been tied to a suspected terrorist from Daphne was hosted by an Internet company based in the United States, according to a private investigator.

Bill Warner, an investigator from Sarasota, Fla., who tried to shut down a number of Web sites linked to extremist groups, said he first targeted an al-Shabaab Web site in May 2008 after the U.S. government labeled it a terrorist organization. Dotster Inc. of Vancouver, Wash., took the Web site http://www.kataaib.net/ down in January, Warner said, after an order from the federal government.

Warner said he has run a detective agency for 15 years and has been trying to shut down terrorist Web sites — on his own time without pay — since 2003. When watching an April 2007 al-Shabaab Web posting, he said, he was particularly intrigued by one of the men on the Web site, a fair-skinned man, who stood apart from the Somali fighters.

That man went by the name Abu Mansour al-Amriki. Fox News reported last week that his true identity is Omar Hammami and that he faces a secret indictment in Mobile's federal court on a charge of providing material support to terrorists (the al-shabaab website).

Hammami, 25, attended Daphne High School and the University of South Alabama. Warner said news reports of Hammami's past as a computer science student confirmed his suspicions that al-Amriki had provided technical assistance to al-Shabaab. "At that time, I suspected he was involved with setting up the Web site," he said. "It appears Omar, with his background, is the perfect guy to set this up for them."

Rick Schwein, the assistant special agent in charge of counter-terrorism efforts at the Mobile office of the FBI, said he could not comment on a specific case. In general, he said, the bureau works within the constraints of the law to take down Web sites that lure recruits and coordinate terrorist activity. "It's something that is of great concern to us," he said.

Warner said federal investigators often do not want to tip their hand by moving on a Web site before they have mined it for intelligence. Foreign terrorist groups prefer to use American Web-hosting companies because the larger bandwidth they use allows higher-quality video postings.

Newspapers in Phoenix and Tampa, Fla., reported that Web hosting companies in their cities took down jihadist Web sites after Warner pointed them out in early 2008. But officials at Dotster, which hosted the al-Shabaab site at http://www.kataaib.net/  , initially resisted Warner's efforts, he said.

Dotster representatives could not be reached for comment Wednesday. The company told the (Columbian) newspaper in Vancouver last year that its passes along all complaints to law enforcement agencies but does not censor customers' content. "We are not in a position to judge and be a jury on what content may be legal or acceptable," Brian Unruh, the firm's chief financial officer, told the newspaper.

Warner said the al-Shabaab site clearly crossed the line. And while the message was in Somali, he said, a mirror site run by a man in the United Kingdom had an English-language version. "It was blatantly recruiting suicide bombers," he said.

ABC News verifies that Omar Hammami aka Abu Mansoor al-Amriki is head of propaganda for Al-Shabaab and followed Adam Gadahn, American Jihadist Attacks Obama in Extremist Audio Tape, Abu Mansoor al-Amriki Calls For American Muslims to Leave U.S., Join Jihad

By MATTHEW COLE...ABC NEWS

An American jihadist tied to Al Qaeda has released an extremist audiotape attacking President Obama, calling for American Muslims to leave the U.S. and join the armed Islamic struggle around the world. Abu Mansoor al-Amriki, an apparent American citizen, is a member of the Somalia-based Islamist militant group al-Shabaab and speaks in English with a flat American accent addressing American Muslims.

Titled "A Response to Barack Obama: The Beginning of the End," the tape is a belated reply to Obama's speech in Egypt addressed to the Muslim world. In it, Abu Mansoor praises Osama bin Laden and refutes various points Obama made during his speech from Cairo.

Abu Mansoor al-Amriki (the American) has raised his profile in recent months, and followed in the footsteps of the better known Adam Gadahn, an American al Qaeda operative based in Pakistan. Gadahn is wanted by the FBI, and the State Department has offered a $1 million reward for his capture. Abu Mansoor has not risen to that level of infamy yet, but appears to be making efforts to land on the notorious Rewards for Justice list. Abu Mansoor first appeared in a September 2007 video that aired on al-Jazeera. Near the end of the message, Gadahn and three other apparent Americans jihadists are shown.

In recent months, Abu Mansoor has released tapes that included American rap lyrics in the background. According to Ben Venzke, president of IntelCenter, a Washington-based firm that tracks and analyzes al Qaeda propaganda videos, Mansoor and al Shabaab have released a "steady, yet rapid, escalation in the overall video production quality of their material."

U.S. government officials have been concerned about the growing attraction for American citizens of Somali decent heading to Somalia to join that country's continuing civil war and insurgency. Last year, FBI officials acknowledged that as many as 20 Somali-American teenagers disappeared from their Minneapolis community, headed to fight with the al-Qaeda-linked group al Shabaab.

Sept. 9, 09...Orlando pastors. Blake and Beverly Lorenz, that let Fathima Rifqa Bary into their home have left the Global Revolution Church.

The pastors who made national headlines after taking in a teen Muslim-to-Christian convert from Ohio are reorganizing their Orlando church. "The lawyers are trying to figure out which way it's going to go," he said. "It's not like a negative thing. We're having to reorganize and restructure." Pastors Beverly and Blake Lorenz took in teen convert Fathima Rifqa Bary after she ran away from her parents, saying her life was in danger because she converted -- a claim her family denies.

The Lorenzes helped start Global Revolution Church in October after spending more than 15 years at Pine Castle United Methodist Church, located south of downtown Orlando on Orange Avenue. Blake Lorenz said his new church will get a different name and a new meeting spot but it will be still have the same congregation. "The church is still going great," he said. Attempts to reach the church's corporate officers have been unsuccessful. "I hesitate to say anything," Blake Lorenz said, during the phone interview with the Orlando Sentinel.

We believe Israel is the prophetic key to the return of Jesus Christ. We believe in the radical "Sermon on the Mount" lifestyle. (the fact that Jesus was a Jewish teacher speaking especially in Aramaic within a Jewish context) as stated by Blake Lorenz and posted on the Global Revolution Church website.

See my prior post......Sunday, September 06, 2009, Global Revolution Church of Blake and Beverly Lorenz in Orlando Took in Muslim Convert to Christianity Rifqa Bary, Pastor Blake's new call to share with the Church, Israel, We believe in the Radical "Sermon on the Mount" Lifestyle that Jesus was a Jewish teacher.

No wonder CAIR, the Noor Mosque in Columbus Ohio and Muslim businessman Mohammad Lutfi (former director of the Palestinian Defense League and fought in the 1967 Six Day War with the Jordanian Army against the Jews) in Orlando are so "on fire", about Rifqa Bary, born to the Muslim faith and converted to Christianity and who became involved with a Church that believes Israel is the prophetic key to the return of Jesus Christ and that Jesus was a Jewish teacher, Oh boy.

From State of Florida Corporation records GLOBAL REVOLUTION CHURCH, INC is a Florida Non Profit Corporation set up on 8/28/2008, Blake and Beverly Lorenz are not listed as Registered Agents or listed as Directors of the GLOBAL REVOLUTION CHURCH, INC, they appear to have been the front people.

Link to recruiting for Al-Shabaab in the USA is Mohammad Diini and the MSA, Omar Hammami aka Abu Mansour Al-Amriki was the president of the MSA at the University of South Alabama.

The largest counterterrorism investigation since 9/11 is currently underway examining the recruitment efforts in the U.S. targeting young Somali men by the Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabaab terrorist group, with attention focused on Columbus OH – home to the second largest Somali community (45,000) in the country behind Minneapolis. Nearly two dozen Somali men have been reported missing and at least four of these men have been reported as killed in fighting in Somalia.

One of those men, Shirwa Ahmed, died in October when he conducted a suicide bombing attack, which FBI Director Robert Mueller acknowledged was the first known instance of a U.S. citizen who had successfully carried out a suicide bombing attack. Much of the national media attention on this issue has focused on two extremist imams in the Minneapolis area – Hassan Mohamud of the Islamic Dawah Center in St. Paul and Sheikh Abdirahman Sheikh Omar Ahmed of the Abubakar As-Saddique Islamic Center in Minneapolis– who lead the respective mosques where the families of most of the missing Somali men say that they had been recruited.

Both of these imams are directly related to the Noor Center: Hassan Mohamud was a featured speaker at the November 2008 Noor Somali Youth Conference; and the Noor Center Somali youth worker, Mohammad (Mohamed) Diini, has been seen frequently speaking at events with Sheikh Ahmed and Hassan Mohamud sponsored by the Muslim Student Association (MSA) on campus's around the USA, like at the University of South Alabama.

In May, Mohamed Diini spoke with both men at an event opposed to the FBI’s investigation. See one of IMAM Mohammad (Mohamed) Diini’s slick propaganda YouTube videos, click here.
Considering Mohammad Diini’s education at the extremist Institute for Arabic and Islamic Sciences; his spiritual leadership position at the extremist Dar Al-Hijrah mosque in the Washington D.C.-area; his current public support of the two imams at the center of the largest counterterrorism investigation since 9/11; and his current position as Somali youth leader at the Noor Center, adds to the present concern of his connections to Omar Hammami aka Abu Mansour Al-Amriki from Daphne Ala who has shown up in Somalia as one of the Al-Shabaab leaders and/or website designer.

“Somali youth will gather this weekend in COLUMBUS OHIO to talk about the many opportunities available to them in America. They must seek leadership, serve the community and stay out of trouble, speakers will tell them at the Somali youth conference at the Noor Islamic Cultural Center in Dublin. The conference grew in part out of reports of fights between Somali youth and American black teens at high schools, said Imam Mohamed Diini, a Somali and Muslim youth leader at the mosque. Columbus is home to about 45,000 Somalis. It’s the second-largest Somali population in America, said Sadia Ali Aden, president of the Somali Diaspora Network.

One Noor Center official who has regularly participated in events with Hassan Mohamud and Sheikh Ahmed is Mohammad Diini, who has been identified in media reports as a Noor Center Somali youth worker. Diini and Mohamud both spoke at the November 2008 Noor Somali youth conference. In June 2007, both men delivered a joint session at a conference in Minneapolis on “The Importance of Faith in the Lives of Muslim Youth”.Sheikh Ahmed also spoke at the same conference. Diini and Sheikh Ahmed have also been photographed together at other events.

AL-QAEDA SETS IT'S SIGHTS ON RITZ-CARLTON AND OTHER LUXURY HOTELS AS BOMB TARGETS.

AL-QAEDA SETS IT'S SIGHTS ON RITZ-CARLTON AND OTHER LUXURY HOTELS AS BOMB TARGETS.

Study: Terrorists Shifting Focus to 'Soft' Targets. Al Qaeda is changing from a centralized organization with global goals to regional "franchises" with more parochial aims and strong grass-roots support, according to a report from STRATFOR

Tuesday, September 08, 2009

For several years, militants — primarily Islamist militants — have been changing their target set to focus more on soft targets. Hotels are particularly popular targets for militant strikes involving improvised explosive devices (IEDs), vehicle-borne IEDs, armed attacks or kidnappings and assassinations. However, there are several security measures that can be taken to limit the damage caused by militant attacks at hotels or even prevent such attacks before they happen.

In early 2005, STRATFOR began writing about another trend we observed: the devolution of al Qaeda and the global jihadist movement from an organizational model based on centralized leadership and focused global goals to a more amorphous model based on regional franchises with local goals and strong grassroots support. As a result of this change, the less professional local groups receive less training and funding. They often are unable to attack hard targets and therefore tend to focus on softer targets — like hotels.

Following several attacks against hotels in 2005 — most notably the multiple bombing attacks in Amman, Jordan, and Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt — we updated our 2004 study on the threat to hotels to include tactical details on these attacks. Now, following the November 2008 Mumbai attacks and the July 2009 Jakarta attacks, we are once again updating the study.

The most likely method of attack against a hotel is still an improvised explosive device (IED), whether vehicle-borne (VBIED), planted ahead of time or deployed by a suicide bomber in a public area. However, after the Mumbai attacks, the risk of a guerrilla-style armed assault including the use of high-powered assault rifles and explosives against multiple targets within a given radius is quite high. The relative success of the Mumbai operation and the dramatic news coverage it received (it captured the world’s attention for three days) mean that copycat attacks can be expected. Additionally, attacks targeting specific VIP’s remain a possibility, and hotels are likely venues for such attacks.

Jan. 14, 2008: At approximately 6:30 p.m. local time, three militants opened fire on security guards with AK-47s and hand grenades on the perimeter of the Serena Hotel in Kabul, Afghanistan. A suicide bomber then made his way inside the hotel before detonating the IED he was wearing. A local Taliban spokesman quickly claimed the attack, which killed six people and injured six more.

Sept. 20, 2008: Around 8 p.m. local time, a VBIED consisting of about 1 ton of explosives detonated at the security barrier of the JW Marriott Hotel in Islamabad, Pakistan. More than 50 people were killed and some 270 were injured. The attack was blamed on the Al Qaeda-linked Islamist group, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.

Nov. 26, 2008: Attackers armed with rifles and grenades stormed the Oberoi Trident and Taj Mahal Palace hotels in Mumbai, India. Over the course of the three-day siege, 71 people were killed and more than 200 were injured. The attackers belonged to the militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba.

June 9, 2009: Attackers with guns and a VBIED targeted the luxury Pearl Continental Hotel in Peshawar, Pakistan, around 10 p.m. local time. The attackers breached the security gate and detonated the explosive-laden vehicle next to the hotel. Sixteen people were killed and more than 60 were injured. The attack is believed to have been carried out by the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan.

July 17, 2009: Two suicide bombers belonging to a Jemaah Islamiyah splinter group detonated IEDs nearly simultaneously in the adjacent JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton hotels in Jakarta, Indonesia. Nine people were killed and 42 were wounded in the attacks. The bombs had been assembled in the hotel room of the JW Marriott where one of the attackers had been staying.
Although hotel security workers do occasionally monitor and confront suspicious loiterers, militants have found that one way around this is to check into hotels, which gives them full access and guest privileges. The bombers who conducted the July 17 twin suicide bombings of the JW Marriott and the Ritz-Carlton in Jakarta, Indonesia, had checked into the hotel two days prior to carrying out the operation.

The most substantial threat comes from IEDs — either VBIEDs detonated at hotel entrances, inside a garage or other perimeter locations, or an IED used by a suicide bomber who aims to detonate within a lobby, restaurant or other public gathering place inside the hotel.

WASHINGTON -- Terrorists are aiming for hotels and other easier-to-hit targets as security measures at military and government facilities continue to improve, says a global intelligence company.

Al Qaeda is changing from a centralized organization with global goals to regional "franchises" with more parochial aims and strong grass-roots support, according to a report Tuesday from STRATFOR. These smaller cells get less training and less money, so they set their sights lower.

That doesn't mean they aren't dangerous, "particularly if they are attempting to prove their value or if they are able to link up with someone who is highly tactically skilled," the report says.

According to STRATFOR, the number of attacks on hotels has more than doubled since the 9/11 attacks in 2001 when compared with the eight years before. Injuries and deaths caused by those attacks have increased six times over the same comparison period.

From a terrorist's perspective, the downside to hitting soft targets is that the attacks don't generate as much "political and ideological mileage" as hitting a hard target such as a better guarded government building or military facility, the report says.

Despite the increasing attacks in hotels, the report says many owners and managers have been reluctant to equip their buildings with more security measures, which can be cumbersome and inconvenience guests.
A hotel is the ultimate soft target for Islamic extremists: a fixed location, lots of human traffic and shallow security perimeters. Hotels also attract many Westerners, giving militants high probabilities of killing or injuring large numbers of them in a single attack, according to the report..
Against unsecured targets, VBIEDs generate the greatest number of casualties. VBIED attacks targeting hotels have occurred in Karachi, Pakistan (May 2002); Mombasa, Kenya (November 2002); Jakarta, Indonesia (August 2003), Taba, Egypt (October 2004); Pattani, Thailand (March 2008); Bouira, Algeria (August 2008); Islamabad (September 2008), Peshawar, Pakistan (June 2009) and Beledweyne, Somalia (June 2009).

ORLANDO SENTINEL Death Poll: Return Christian girl Rifqa Bary to her Ohio Muslim family?

Poll: Return Christian girl Rifqa Bary to her Ohio Muslim family (and possible certain death)?

Fathima Rifqa Bary, 17, says she became a Christian and fled Ohio to stay with an Orlando pastor’s family because her father vowed to kill her for converting. Should she be sent back to her own family?  As of Monday 9/07/09, 35% or 1,108 people have voted yes or maybe to send Rifqa Bary back to Columbus Ohio and her fate of a very possible "Honor Killing", in the Orlando Sentinel "Death" Poll.   Columbus Ohio was the home base for the largest Al-Qeda cell in the USA prior to 9/11/01.  Columbus Ohio and a radical Muslim Mosque were the home to the "Kindheat Charity" that funded Al-Qaeda terrorist attacks, do you really think Rifqa Bary stands a chance ?

Yes. Kids who run away tell fibs all the time to justify leaving. There’s no evidence her family would kill her. (661 responses) ...20.8% Send her Back.

No. If there’s any chance at all that she is telling the truth, whoever returns her will have to answer for anything bad that happens to her. (2069 responses) ....65.1%

Maybe. Florida and Ohio should thoroughly check out her family first. (447 responses)..14.1% Maybe send her back.

In 1995, at age 16, Adam Gadahn moved in with his grandparents in Santa Ana, California, where he worked in a computer store and explored the Internet, Gadahn was setting up web sites on the Internet for his heavy metal music reviews and then he discovered Islam ; The turning point, perhaps, was when I moved in with my grandparents here in Santa Ana, the county seat of Orange, California. My grandmother, a computer whiz, is hooked up to America Online and I have been scooting the information superhighway since January. But when I moved in, with the intent of finding a job (easier said than done), I begin to visit the religion folders on AOL and the Usenet newsgroups, where I found discussions on Islam to be the most intriguing.

Adam Gadahn worked for his aunt's radio and television production company in Los Angeles during the mid-1990s, and she thought he would become a broadcast journalist. In one of his last conversations with his family, Adam Gadahn said he was working for a newspaper in Pakistan (possibly As-Sahab) a family member told the Register in a 2004 interview. Adam Gadahn and some of his mentors in Orange County CA became the nucleus of what is now the As-Sahab media production wing of al-Qaeda.

MOBILE, Ala. -- A suspected al-Qaida-linked terrorist from Daphne began to show an anti-American streak as far back as high school, one of his former teachers said Saturday.

Cynthia McMeans, who taught Omar Hammami in an international studies class and a Model United Nations program, said the teenager affected a Middle Eastern accent almost overnight during his junior year at Daphne High School.

As a teenager, Hammami had turned from the Baptist beliefs of his mother to the Muslim religion his father practiced, McMeans said, and in the spring of 2001, he expressed sympathy toward hard-line Islamic regimes.

"He was just starting on that path, when he was in the 11th grade," McMeans said. "It wasn't the religion part of it that was scary, it was supporting Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida and the Taliban and the Sharia law."

Citing a confidential source, Fox News reported Friday that a federal grand jury has issued a secret indictment against Hammami on a charge of providing material support for terrorists. The FBI and the U.S. Attorney's Office in Mobile have declined to comment on Hammami, who has appeared in several Internet videos from war-torn Somalia using the battlefield name Abu Mansour al-Amriki.

His father, Shafik Hammami, declined to talk about the allegations facing his son but expressed anger at the publicity his family has received. "I am furious about what you wrote," he told the Press-Register on Saturday. "What gives you the right to put my name in the paper? To say where I work? What have I done?" Global Revolution Church of Blake and Beverly Lorenz in Orlando Took in Muslim Convert to Christianity Rifqa Bary, Pastor Blake's new call to share with the Church, Israel, We believe in the Radical "Sermon on the Mount" Lifestyle that Jesus was a Jewish teacher.

The Global Revolution Church is located in Orlando Florida and pastored by Blake Lorenz who is at the center of a controversy over a runaway teenager who converted from Islam to Christianity. Rifqa Bary ran away from home, and sought refuge with the Lorenz family who helped convert her to Christianity. "Blake Lorenz met Jesus Christ in a dramatic, life changing encounter in January of 1980.

Recently God gave Blake a new call to share with the church, Israel, and the Gentile nations that the return of Jesus Christ is imminent. We believe Israel is the prophetic key to the return of Jesus Christ. We believe in the radical "Sermon on the Mount" lifestyle. After 24 years as a United Methodist pastor and evangelist, Blake retired from the Methodist Church in obedience to Jesus Who told him to separate himself and serve only Him. This led to the founding of Global Revolution Ministries and Global Revolution Church, based in Orlando, Florida.  The state Department of Children Families (DCF) asked that Bary no longer be allowed to visit with Blake and Beverly Lorenz. The judge agreed, although he let her continue to visit with the Lorenzes’ three children, who are in their 20s, and whom Bary considers “dear friends and spiritual advisers,” according to John Stemberger, her attorney.

The Sermon on the Mount is a radical statement of ethical piety. This translation uses Hebraic forms of several names as a way of communicating the fact that Jesus was a Jewish teacher speaking especially in Aramaic within a Jewish context, a point also stressed by Schweitzer. Thus, the name of Jesus is given as Yeshua, the law and prophets are termed the Torah and the Nevi’im, the hellish valley near Jerusalem where human sacrifices once were performed is named Gehenna, Jerusalem is called Yerushalayim, Solomon is called Shlomo, and non-Jewish people (Gentiles) are called goyim.

Blake leads Global Revolution Church with his wife Beverly, who is the Pastor. He has three Spirit-filled children, who share in the call of preparing the world for the return of Jesus Christ. He looks forward in sharing with you on how you can fall in love with Jesus Christ and be ready for His return." via Global Revolution Church.
