ISIS LONE WOLF ATTACK COULD TARGET CHRISTMAS SHOPPERS IN TIMES SQUARE NY WITH A CAR BOMB, A TERROR TARGET FOR YEARS. A Muslim terror plot to attack New York City including Times Square and the subway system was foiled with the help of an undercover FBI agent in October 2016 and in May 2010. "The planned attacks included detonating bombs in Times Square and the New York City subway system and shooting civilians at specific concert venues, “these Americans need an attack.” One man in the October 2016 plot, Abdulrahman El Bahnasawy, 19, and two others in Pakistan and the Philippines are under arrest and face charges of plotting the attacks which they hoped to carry out in the name of the Islamic State group. Muslim terrorist Abdulrahman El Bahnasawy sent an undercover FBI agent an image of Times Square, saying that "we seriously need a car bomb" to attack it. He allegedly wanted to "create the next 9/11". “If you look at the communications between the Lone Wolf attackers and the ISIS virtual plotters, you will see that there is a direct line of communication to the point where they are egging them on minutes, even seconds, before the individual carries out an attack.” Detailing this kind of plot direction has become a critical focus of counterterrorism officials in the United States and Europe, as they try to track terror planners who pose a lasting threat and to unravel the criminal networks that the group uses as middlemen to facilitate attacks.

Faisal Shahzad, a Pakistani-American, attempted a car bomb attack in Times Square in 2010. Faisal Shahzad's SUV loaded with explosives was removed from the scene at the corner of W 45th St. and Broadway in the heart of Times Square in photo above. The Pathfinder SUV was discovered just off Broadway on 45th Street. Several theaters and stores, as well as the South Tower of the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel, were evacuated. The bumbling Times Square terrorist, declaring himself a "Muslim soldier" out for revenge, pleaded guilty to his failed plot to blow up the crossroads of the world. Faisal Shahzad a U.S. citizen who was born in Pakistan admitted he tried to ignite three bombs in an SUV parked on Broadway at 45th St. on May 1 2010. "It's a war. I am part of the answer to the U.S. terrorizing the Muslim nations and the Muslim people," he said in a hateful scree to Manhattan Federal Court Judge Miriam Cedarbaum. "On behalf of that, I'm revenging the attack." In painstaking detail, he told how he stepped away from the bomb-packed Nissan Pathfinder he parked at 45th St. and Broadway after he failed to detonate the propane tanks he packed inside.
December 11, 2018 MASSACRE AT THE MARKET Strasbourg France Christmas market shooting – Islamist maniac screamed ‘Allahu Akbar’ during massacre that killed three The 29-year-old gunman - named by police sources as Cherif Chekatt was gunned down during a massive police operation. At about 8pm that day Checkatt entered Strasbourg via the Corbeau Bridge and began firing near the Place Kleber. Terror cops and soldiers cornered him in a shop after the attack but he slipped through their fingers after hijacking a taxi at gunpoint. Once he emerged from the taxi, he was involved in a shoot out with police, explained Mr Heitz. "The taxi driver saw his gun and his knife, and that he had been wounded in the shoulder," he told a press conference in Strasbourg. "He told the taxi driver he had killed ten people. Once out of the taxi, the suspect met police officers, who started an exchange of fire with him."
December 11, 2017 "New York City a terror target for decades". PIPE BOMB EXPLODES IN SUBWAY AT TIMES SQUARE. Akayed Ullah, 27, of Brooklyn, was allegedly inspired by the Islamic State to carry a crudely made pipe bomb into a walkway in the subway along 42nd Street between Seventh and Eighth avenues, where it detonated about 7:20 a.m., police said. Three people suffered minor injuries in the incident, and the bomber was injured and arrested. Whether drawn to the iconic landmarks or densely packed citizens, plots have ranged from international conspiracies to deranged lone wolves. Weapons included airliners converted into missiles, homemade bombs, guns, a hatchet and even a sword. “The truth is, New York is an international symbol of freedom and democracy – that’s what we are – and we are proud of it,” Gov. Andrew Cuomo said after a ISIS truck attack on Halloween that killed eight and injured 12. “That also makes us a target for those people who oppose those concepts, and we’ve lived with this before, we’ve felt the pain before, we feel the pain today, but we go forward together and we go forward stronger than ever.”

October 31st, 2017, Eight people were killed and almost a dozen injured when a 29-year-old man in a rented pickup truck drove down a busy bicycle path near the World Trade Center in Manhattan, New York City. Witnesses reported Muslim terrorist
Sayfullo Saipovwas was yelling "Allahu Akbar," according to four law enforcement sources. The FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force took over the lead of the investigation. Vehicles have been used as weapons in a number of terrorist attacks in recent years, including in deadly incidents in London and Nice, France. The suspect, driving in a Home Depot rental truck, hopped a curb at West Houston Street and drove south on the bike path on the west side of West Side Highway in lower Manhattan for several blocks, officials said. The suspect was identified by two law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation as Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov. He's from Uzbekistan in Central Asia but had been living in the US since 2010, sources said. Authorities found a note claiming the attack was made in the name of ISIS near the truck used in the attack, a senior law enforcement official said. "This was an act of terror, and a particularly cowardly act of terror," New York Mayor Bill de Blasio said, "aimed at innocent civilians, aimed at people going about their lives who had no idea what was about to hit them."

Police and MI5 antj-terror squads in the UK fear terrorists could launch attacks on thousands of families celebrating the festive period with knives and ramming vehicles. Colonel Richard Kemp told the Daily Mirror, Christmas is a 'high risk' time of year because of 'large crowns of people enjoying themselves - and the fact that there is a Christian aspect to it.' Extremists in Syria and Iraq are stirring militants based in southern Turkey to carry out attacks wherever 'Christmas gatherings' are taking place across Europe. Britain is one of the countries under a 'severe' threat, meaning an attack is highly likely. There are more than 600 live MI5 investigations into possible plots and over 3,000 extremists who are considered at risk of carry out an attack. But intelligence agencies fear that lone wolf 'copycats' may carry out violence in the wake of the Strasbourg attack, in which a lone perpetrator killed three and injured 12 at a festive market. Lone wolf attackers are the hardest to stop because they leave little trace of their intentions.
