FBI Missing Person Poster Jabez Spann Newtown Section of Sarasota Fl Reward For Info to Locate $50,000. Jabez Spann, who is believed to have witnessed the murder of Travis Combs on 22nd Street. Jabez was last seen at a memorial for the victim on September 4, 2017, on 22nd Street and Palamadelia Avenue in Sarasota, Florida. The circumstances concerning the nature of Spann's disappearance remain unclear. Everyone in the small community of Newtown knows the area where Jabez’s phone last pinged– near an industrial park. The area Jabez's phone last pinged is mostly water or woods and there is no trace of him.
The F.B.I, Sarasota Police department and other law enforcement officials spent the day going around parts of the Newtown area, as well as North Water Tower Park. Officials also spoke with people who live in those neighborhoods to try and get helpful tips in finding Spann. Sarasota Police Chief Bernadette DiPino updated the investigation saying Spann was last seen by his grandmother on Sept. 4th at 6:00 p.m. and thought he was going to stay at a friend's house.

The grandmother contacted police after learning that Jabez did not show up at the friend's house. After pinging his cellphone, police searched a nearby wooded area where the last known location of his phone is said to have been, but despite using K-9’s and a helicopter, came up empty. Officials with the FBI were searching for Jabez in the Laurel Park area of Sarasota. Agents from the FBI Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Sarasota Police Department are re-canvassing the area of North Water Tower Park and Newtown in the search for Jabez Spann.
