NEWTOWN NO SNITCHIN: September 26th, 2017 SPD News Conference, Sarasota Police Chief Bernadette DiPino said the case has left her department frustrated. DiPino said there are areas her officers want to search, but they are private property and without probable cause, officers cannot conduct those searches without consent (NEWTOWN). “We are doing everything we can, but it’s been very frustrating that we are not getting information from our community (NEWTOWN),” she said. “ After this emotional SPD News Conference on September 26th, 2017 I took upon myself to find Jabez Spann, this included searches on my own in and around the Newtown area concentrating on wet areas, swamps, ditches, gullies and canals.
NO SNITCHIN IN NEWTOWN. Herald Tribune, The police report that put Jabez Spann at the scene of Combs’ murder stems from the arrest of Reginald Lee Parker. Parker, 55, told three people that he witnessed the fatal shooting of Combs by 3 Newtown thugs, who he knew and named two of them. His firsthand account was corroborated by another witness, a woman who also heard the gunshot and saw 2 men running from the area. Parker was arrested Nov. 7 2017 on an unrelated warrant for failure to appear in court and interviewed by detectives in jail. But according to the report, he changed his account once inside the county jail. An ABC-7 News investigation indicates a SPD document states that detectives met with Lucille Tillery, grandmother of Jabez Spann, missing since September 4th, 2017, eight months ago. Tillery told authorities that Reginald Parker confessed to her that he witnessed the murder of Travis Combs. The document says that Jabez Spann exclaimed, “Oh my God. Y’all shot him,” after Combs was killed.

Teresa Richardson is the aunt of 31-year-old Travis Combs who was murdered on August 28th, 2017, shot to death in a vacant lot in the 1600 block of 22nd St, right next to her house, in the Newtown Section of Sarasota Fl. Richardson said one of the three people involved in her nephew’s murder took his car after he was shot and left it burned in Manatee County, destroying any fingerprints or DNA on the car. The taking of Travis Combs car by one of the killers was smart, at least one of the thugs knows law enforcement tactics and methodology. The three thugs surround 31-year-old Travis Combs in his car in the empty lot in Newtown shouting “give it up” to Combs as he got out and tried to run. “I ain’t got it,” said Combs, surrounded by the trio.
One of the killers took the time to get the keys for Travis Combs car after the shooting started, this guy has some experience with law enforcement, his prints are in the system. The perpetrators fired one shot at 31-year-old Combs, whose body was discovered in the grass field on 22nd Street. Combs’ murder has been overshadowed by the case of Jabez Spann, a 14-year-old Sarasota boy who went missing after he reportedly witnessed Combs’ murder and now eight months later appears to have been kidnapped by Travis Combs killers.

Apparently Reginald Parker, a registered sex offender and ex-con, witnessed the murder of Travis Combs by 3 thugs. Jabez Spann was named in sex offender Reginald Parker’s arrest report. The documents placed Jabez Spann at the scene of the murder. It was the first official acknowledgement that Jabez Spann may have witnessed a murder before he disappeared on September 4th, 2017. According to the report, Reginald Parker told three people that Jabez Spann was outside, along with two others, when Combs was fatally shot by 3 local thugs. The document says that Jabez Spann exclaimed, “Oh my God. Y’all shot him,” after Combs was killed. But according to the report, Parker changed his account once inside the jail. When pressed by detectives, Parker denied telling anyone he saw Travis Combs’ death, he has since been charged with accessory after the fact to second degree murder.
