Gang Activity in Newtown Fl? 6 Shootings in 13 Days &
3 Black Males Who Fit Description in Murder of Travis Combs do Armed Robbery at Five Guys No Snitchin. SARASOTA FL, The first 13 days in May 2018 have been very busy for law enforcement in Sarasota, 6 shootings in Newtown and the violet armed robbery of the Five Guys Rest on Frutiville Rd, all roads lead to Newtown gang activity. On May 10th, 2018 ABC7 Sarasota Fl wrote: Despite that most recent incident, violence in Newtown is getting better (NOT LIKELY). According to Sarasota Police Department and a City Commisioner, they say gun violence has dropped compared to recent years. Sarasota Police Department provided a report to ABC 7 with the number of shooting in 2017 and 2018. In 2017, there were 28 aggravated assaults or batteries involving a gun and 1 homicide. Even though were only a few months into the year, there have already been 14 aggravated assaults or batteries involving a gun and also 1 homicide. Sarasota City Commissioner Willie Shaw tells us the number of crimes in Newtwon has dropped drastically compared to past years. Yeah right, Not likely!
Gang Activity Newtown: HERALD TRIBUNE WRITES SARASOTA — After four unsolved shootings in one week, Sarasota Police Chief Bernadette DiPino told the media Monday her department is increasing a community-policing initiative to address gun violence in parts of North Sarasota, where at least 12 shootings have occurred since January. Nine of those occurred in the Newtown neighborhood, including one homicide, but DiPino says it’s fortunate that number isn’t staggeringly worse. “We have had a number of individuals that were shot basically point blank in the head that are by the grace of God still alive,” DiPino said. “We have had a number of individuals shot in the leg. We have been very fortunate that there hasn’t been a more serious outcome to these,” there have been 30 other incidents in which individuals have been shot at or gunfire was reported. The police department has recovered 75 handguns this year that were either used in shootings, stolen or recovered through other police work. “It is a possibility that it could be drug-related, it could be gang-related, it could be a number of things — retaliatory,” DiPino said. “There are a lot of theories out there.
Back in November one of these Newtown thugs called me on my business line and threatened me for posting an article about him being wanted for failure to appear in court on gun and battery charges, he also threatened my wife on his Facebook page. Subsequently the cops found him on November 25th, 2017 and he ended up doing 120 days in the Sarasota County jail, he got out on March 31st, 2018 and then all the shooting started. Following is a first hand report on the out of control violence and gang activity in the Newtown Section of Sarasota Fl by a woman who lives there: June 2015, Tanysha Curry and her three young daughters are one of 1.2 million American households living in the nation’s public housing projects. Their Sarasota, Florida home is in the Newtown area, a strip of attached ground-level units connected by common walls and generations of families. Beer cans and fast-food wrappers litter the shared yards, and battered cars fill the driveways. “We hear the sirens and gunshots at night, and the helicopters overhead,” Curry says, referring to the search teams looking for gang and other criminal activity across this blighted part of town. She sees plenty of trouble during daylight, but keeps a low profile. “I mind my own business. Around here, snitching brings retaliation.” The Currys’ back door leads to a shared courtyard surrounded by dozens of homes built in a U-Shape. Across the lawn, a group of male teens and twenty-somethings are talking. “There was a shooting here Saturday night,” Curry says quietly, “and those guys are up to no good. They’re having a meeting to decide what they’re gonna do about it.”

6). Thursday, May 03, 2018. 3 Black Males Who Fit Description of the Thugs Who Murdered Travis Combs in Newtown Section of Sarasota Fl do Armed Robbery Five Guys Restaurant 5354 Fruitville Road Sarasota Fl. Detectives are currently investigating an Armed Robbery that occurred Thursday night, 5/03/2018, in Sarasota. Deputies first responded to the Five Guys restaurant at 5354 Fruitville Road at 11:08 p.m. According to store employees, three black males entered the business, (looks like through the back door in photo above), wearing masks and carrying guns. The suspects took money from the safe as well as cell phones and wallets from employees.
Note in the photo above to the far left that one of the black thugs has the employee down on the floor with a gun pointed to the back of his head, fearing for his life, also note one of the thugs is wearing black basketball shorts with white block vertical lettering on his left leg, (looks like JORDAN). I have seen these type of shorts before, the white lettering is on the sides of both legs. Did any of the armed robbers say “give it up”?
One of the armed robbers at the Five Guys Restaurant was wearing black basketball shorts with white block vertical letters and black sneakers with a distinctive white rubber sole, see photo above. Members of the Sheriff Department agency’s K-9 Unit responded but were unable to locate the suspects.
Apparently it looks like one of the thugs who robbed the Five Guys Restaurant is a 'Air Jordan Fan'. A witness in the parking lot reported they may have been traveling in a black Nissan Altima. The black male suspects are all described as being between 5’9” and 5’11” tall with medium builds. They were wearing dark clothing, masks and gloves. Anyone with information is asked to contact our Criminal Investigations Section at 941.861.4900.
WHO SHOT TRAVIS COMBS “give it up”: From information that I obtained on my own it has been discovered that Travis Combs was known to pull his vehicle into the empty lot on 22nd Street and sell marijuana from his car. It also became apparent to the 3 local Newtown thugs that Travis Combs would have large amounts of cash on him from the drug sales. Apparently Reginald Parker and Jabez Spann witnessed 3 local Newtown thugs rob and murder Travis Combs for his money, he was shot once in the upper torso.
I will identify the 3 Newtown thugs that murdered Travis Combs, his photo above, in this article as Thug A, Thug B, and Thug C. The three thugs surround 31-year-old Travis Combs in his car in the empty lot in Newtown shouting “give it up” to Combs as he got out and tried to run. “I ain’t got it,” said Combs, surrounded by the trio in the empty lot in the 1600 block of 22nd Street on August 28th 2017. A witness identified the shooters of Travis Combs as 3 black males with average builds and about 5'9" to 5'11" tall.
Wednesday, June 28, 2017 Newtown Drug Wars Spill Out On City Streets of Sarasota Fl 3 Drive By Shootings in last 7 Days. It's the wild wild west in North Sarasota Fl, click on image above to enlarge, no coincidences here. A vacuum has been created by the murder of drug dealer Alfa Victor Young aka Trinidad on May 18th, 2017, it is very apparent with the 3 drive by shootings in the exact same area of where Alfa Victor Young's body was found that competing drug dealers want his territory and others want payback for the murder of their pal Trinidad, it will only get worse!
