“The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated” Adnan el Shukrijumah FBI Most Wanted Terrorist Who Visited Sarasota in 2000-2001

The reports of my death are greatly exaggeratedAdnan el Shukrijumah FBI Most Wanted Terrorist Who Visited Sarasota in 2000-2001. Apparently Adnan el Shukrijumah has eluded capture or assassination and was not killed by Pakistani soldiers in December 2014 in the mountainous tribal area known as South Waziristan bordering Afghanistan, so says the FBI. Adnan G. El Shukrijumah was indicted in the Eastern District of New York in July of 2010 for his alleged role in a terrorist plot to attack targets in the United States and the United Kingdom. The charges reveal that the plot against New York City's subway system, uncovered in September of 2009, was directed by senior Al-Qaeda leadership in Pakistan and was also directly related to a scheme by Al-Qaeda plotters in Pakistan to use Western operatives to attack a target in the United States.

Shukrijumah is thought to have served as one of the leaders of Al-Qaeda's external operations program. His charges include Conspiracy to Use Weapons of Mass Destruction; Providing Material Support to a Foreign Terrorist Organization; Conspiracy to Provide Material Support to a Foreign Terrorist Organization; Receiving Military-Type Training From a Foreign Terrorist Organization; Conspiracy to Commit an Act of Terrorism Transcending National Boundaries; Attempt to Commit an Act of Terrorism Transcending National Boundaries; Use of Destructive Device, see FBI website

It is no coincidence that Sarasota Saudi Abdulaziz al-Hijji, terrorist Wissam Hammoud and Al-Qaeda terrorist Adnan el-Shukrijumah played soccer at the local Islamic Society of Sarasota and Bradenton during 2000 and into 2001. It is no coincidence that Abdulaziz al-Hijji was visited multiple times from the summer of 2000 and into 2001 by Mohamed Atta, Waleed al-Shehri and other 9/11 Al-Qaeda hijack pals at 4224 Escondito Circle in Sarasota Fl. 9/11 hijacker Waleed al-Shehri didn’t arrived in the United States until April 23rd 2001 on a tourist visa. Sarasota Fl was Terror Central from the summer of 2000 and into 2001. Born in Saudi Arabia, Waleed al-Shehri had been a student until he accompanied his mentally ill brother to Medina. He later went to fight in Chechnya along with his brother Wail, but was redirected to Afghanistan, where he was recruited for the 9/11 attacks. 9/11 hijacker Waleed al-Shehri arrived in the United States in April 2001 on a tourist visa. HAMMOUD spoke of a Saudi who had lived in Sarasota. He advised that this subject had lived on Escondito Drive in the Prestancia subdivision with his family. In August of 2001, ABDULL AZIZ ALHIJJI and his family left the United States.Hammoud stated he met ALHIJJI through his own relatives in Sarasota 1996. He described ALHIJJI as a heavy drinker and smoker of cannabis, however very well schooled in Islam. Hammoud indicated that ALHIJJI’S wife ANWD GHAZZAWI (maiden name) had family that provided her with money, however ALHIJJI claimed that he received none of this money from his wife. Hammoud advised that ALHIJJI had been attending Manatee Community College (MCC). Hammoud claimed that he often worked out with ALHIJJI at Shapes Fitness located near his residence in Prestancia. Hammoud advised that in 2000 and 2001, he had played soccer with ALHIJJI at the property of the Islamic Society of Sarasota and Bradenton, located on North Lockwood Ridge Road in Sarasota. ALHIJJI had brought with him a friend to the soccer games. Hammoud advised that this friend was ADNAN EL SHUKRIJUMAH, who the FBI is seeking information on. Hammoud identified ADNAN EL SHUKRIJUMAH from an FBI flyer that was brought to the interview by his attorney, Matthew Farmer. Hammoud stated that on two occasions prior to September 11th, 2001, ALHIJJI had entertained Saudi’s at his residence in Sarasota. Hammoud advised that he did not stay for any of these parties because he did not drink or smoke cannabis. Hammoud advised that ALHIJJI traveled on a weekly basis to either the Tampa or Orlando area. He would also travel to the Venice area and spoke to Hammoud about taking flight training in Venice. Hammoud believes that ALHIJJI had known some of the terrorist from the September 11th 2001 attacks, who had been taking flight training at Venice Airport during that time. Hammoud stated that OSAMA BIN LADEN was a hero of ALHIJJI and that ALHIJJI had shown him a web site containing information about BIN LADEN. Hammoud advised that after ALHIJJI left the United States in August of 2001, he went back to Saudi Arabia.

TERROR SUSPECT SOLD USED CARS IN MIRAMAR FL/ST PETE TIMES TERROR SUSPECT ADNAN G. EL-SHUKRIJUMAH SOLD USED CARS WHILE IN MIRAMAR FL.Adnan Shukrijumah made frequent trips to the Sarasota area during 2000 and 2001 prior to 9/11. Adnan G. el Shukrijumah, an al-Qaida terrorist leader once based in South Florida, and according to law enforcement reports visited Sarasota often in 2000-2001, hid in northern Mexico with two other Arab militants in a border city across from Douglas, Arizona, in 2004, released State Department cables say. One of the cables noted that the information about Shukrijumah, came from a trusted confidential source who had a relative involved in migrant smuggling. “An individual approached the Ciudad Juárez Consulate to provide information pertaining to suspect Arab extremists who have been smuggled through Mexico to the United States/Mexico border,” according to a declassified cable from the U.S. consul in Ciudad Juárez to the secretary of state in September 2004. “Although not absolutely positive, one of the three is likely Adnan G. el Shukrijumah, alleged to be a Saudi Arabian terrorist cell leader thought to be in Mexico.” In the case of the Shukrijumah cables, they suggest that the federal government was wrong to deny that Islamic militants may have tried to cross the porous Mexican border to conduct operations in the United States.

The Shukrijumah case has attracted wide attention since the 9/11 Commission in 2004 published a report quoting an immigration officer as saying that she was “75 percent sure” she saw the Miramar resident with hijack leader Mohamed Atta and another man at the immigration office in Miami on May 2, 2001 — four months before the plane attacks. Atta piloted the first plane to crash into the World Trade Center twin towers in New York on Sept. 11, 2001. The second man with Atta, the commission report said, was possibly Ziad Jarrah, the pilot who crashed his plane into a field in Pennsylvania after passengers rebelled and tried to storm the cockpit to recover control of the aircraft. The possible presence of Shukrijumah with the 9/11 pilots stirred speculation that the terror leaders received assistance from U.S.-based militants while they plotted the attacks.

Precisely when Shukrijumah left his home in Miramar, where he lived with his mother, Zuhra, is not known. His mother has said her son left for Trinidad in January 2001 and never returned. But his father told journalists before his death in 2004 that he last saw his son in May 2001, the same month he was possibly at the INS office on 79th Street in Miami. The FBI has said Shukrijumah left the country just weeks before the attacks. Panamanian government officials have said that Shukrijumah visited Panama City in April 2001 on a tourist visa. Two months after the 9/11 attacks, Zuhra previously has said, her son called from Trinidad, an island in the Caribbean where he lived for five years with his parents in the 1980s. His father later said that the last time he heard from Shukrijumah was in October 2002 when he was teaching English in Morocco.

Two years later, U.S. officials received reports of a sighting of Shukrijumah in Honduras and then in northern Mexico. In 2004, the FBI issued an alert for the Mexican border that Shukrijumah could try to enter the United States through Arizona or Texas. The cable, obtained by Judicial Watch through a Freedom of Information Act request, details how the U.S. government received the tip about Shukrijumah in northern Mexico. The cable says: “An individual approached the Ciudad Juárez consulate to provide information pertaining to suspect Arab extremists who have been smuggled through Mexico to the United States/Mexico border. The confidential source (SUBJECT) stated his family member, who is a human trafficker, knows the exact whereabouts of three Arabs who are currently being hidden in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico. Although not absolutely positive, one of the three is likely Adnan G. el Shukrijumah, alleged to be a Saudi Arabian terrorist cell leader thought to be in Mexico. SUBJECT also provided information on two smuggling networks, ‘cells’ that specialized in providing logistical support for Arab individuals attempting to enter the United States.”

Elsewhere in the same cable, the writer notes that American diplomats, at the FBI’s request, had advised media in northern Mexico about the possible presence of Shukrijumah in Sonora and Chihuahua states. The Ciudad Juárez consulate’s regional security office approached newspapers to distribute information throughout Sonora and Chihuahua about Shukrijumah at the request of the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force in El Paso, the cable says. El Paso is across the border from Ciudad Juárez, a city in Chihuahua state. Though Judicial Watch previously has quoted law enforcement sources as saying Shukrijumah crossed back and forth into the United States from Mexico, there have been no official confirmed sightings of the man inside the country since 2001. Nevertheless, U.S. prosecutors did charge Shukrijumah in connection with a plot to stage suicide bomb attacks on the New York subway system in 2009, read more at Miami Herald
