I will be on ABC 7 Sarasota tonight, Friday October 9th, 2015, News at 7:00 pm, discussing the human skull and remains of "John Doe" found in the toxic wastewater marsh behind 100 Cattlemen Rd Sarasota FL see http://www.mysuncoast.com/live_stream/
UPDATE: "When I tell you to dump a body in the marsh, you dump him in the marsh", quote from the movie 'Departed', well in real life we have a body dumped in the marsh behind 100 Cattlemen Rd Sarasota Fl that has yet to be identified.
This toxic water marsh is full of snakes, rats, fire ants and every conceivably rodent and insect, on top of that, the water in the area is contaminated and fenced off on all sides except behind 100 Cattlemen Rd, a good place to dump a body, with the heat and decomposition and the elements, you have bleached bones in no time at all.
The dead guy had been carrying a Motorola flip phone that had not been turned on since 2008, he also had a 2012 penny in his jeans pocket. The man had healed rib fractures, and the second toe on his left foot also had a healed fracture. He suffered from gout, he was a drinker, and had most of his teeth, with no apparent dental restorations.
SARASOTA HERALD TRIBUNE: The Sarasota County Sheriff's office is conducting a death investigation after human remains were found in a wooded area on Wednesday afternoon. Workers with a private water company found a skull in the 100 block of Cattlemen Road behind L3 Communications when they were clearing a path to a well. They called 911 at about 12:40 p.m. Forensic services located the rest of the remains about 50 feet south of a nearby parking lot. "The remains have been here for some time," sheriff's spokeswoman Wendy Rose said in a news conference at the scene. The gender of the person is not known, Rose said. No other information will be released at this time.
According to a Sheriff's Office release: The medical examiner says the unidentified man found in the 100 block of Cattlemen Road behind L3 Communications on Sept. 16 was more than 45 years old, possibly in his 60s, and was small in stature. He was wearing Wrangler jeans, size 29x30, waist 29 inches inseam 30 inches, he would be about 5′ 7″ tall and about 145 lbs, he had on an alligator skin belt with a distinctive belt buckle, a Gianni Velente Italian leather jacket and heavy Timberland hiking boots, not exactly dressed to go to the beach.
He was carrying a Motorola flip phone, lighters, Mennen Speed Stick deodorant, nail clippers and two small black combs. The cause of his death has not been determined, but detectives think his body may have been there since late 2013 or early 2014. A 2012 penny was found in his pocket.
The leather jacket, heavy Timberland boots, jeans, broken toe and broken ribs all could indicate a motorcycle rider, especially since there is a upscale Harley Davidson Motorcycle dealer just yards away.
