Jared Loughner Linked to Extremists American Renaissance That Posts Articles of Pamela Geller, Sarah Palin Posted ‘Target Map’ on Facebook Page Singling Out Gabrielle Giffords AZ-8

Gunman linked to white extremists: Loner charged after shooting top politician in the head and killing six.

Sarah Palin was accused yesterday of using violent imagery to whip up the poisonous political atmosphere blamed by some for the killings. The former Republican vice-presidential contender posted a ‘target map’ on her Facebook page last March, telling voters in the forthcoming mid-term elections: ‘It’s time to take a stand.’

The graphic used gunsight-style crosshair targets on the districts of 20 Democrat politicians she had singled out for defeat after they supported Barack Obama’s healthcare reforms. One of the targets was Gabrielle Giffords, now fighting for life in hospital.  Her Tucson office was hit by shotgun pellets the same month, and she later criticised Mrs Palin’s choice of imagery in a television interview.

In what proved to be a grimly accurate prediction, Miss Giffords said: ‘When people do that, they’ve got to realise there are consequences to that action.’  Mrs Palin, who has boasted of her experience as a hunter and likes to use gun-related metaphors, sent an accompanying message on Twitter in which she repeated a favourite maxim of her father: ‘Don’t Retreat, Instead RELOAD.’

Gun suspect Jared Loughner, his photo above, was a mentally unstable ‘loner’ whose teachers feared he would go on a shooting spree.  College authorities ignored repeated warnings that the drug-taking 22-year-old was a potential danger, a former teacher claimed last night. Classmates said Loughner – a failed army recruit who lived with his parents and listed Hitler’s Mein Kampf and George Orwell’s Animal Farm among his favourite books – had become increasingly erratic in recent months.

On one of his videos, a hooded man wearing a ‘Smiley’ mask and bin liners wrapped around his legs sets fire to the U.S. flag.  The heavy metal song Bodies plays in the background, featuring the lyrics: ‘Can’t take much more, Nothing wrong with me, Something’s got to give, Let the bodies hit the floor.’  Police were investigating claims he was linked to an anti-Semitic anti-American group, American Renaissance. more from this source click here........

Court papers filed with the charges said Jared Loughner had previous contact with Giffords. The documents said he had received a letter from the Democratic lawmaker in which she thanked him for attending a "Congress on your Corner" event at a mall in Tucson in 2007.
Investigators carrying out a search warrant at his parents' home in a middle-class neighborhood found an envelope in a safe with the words "I planned ahead," "My assassination" and the name "Giffords" next to what appears to be his signature.  An official familiar with the shooting investigation said Sunday that local authorities were looking at a possible connection between Loughner and an online group known for white supremacist, anti-immigrant rhetoric.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the ongoing investigation, said local authorities were examining the American Renaissance website for possible motives. Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords is a moderate Democrat who narrowly won re-election in November against a tea party-backed candidate who campaigned against the health care law. The suspected shooter, Jared Loughner, registered as an independent in 2006, and he voted in the November 2008 presidential election, according to the secretary of state.

American Renaissance, a race science outfit whose leader has written that black people are incapable of sustaining civilization, has posted more than one (NYC radical blogger) Pamela Geller columns on its website.

This past January, the American Renaissance group featured a Pamela Geller piece from The Washington Times that asserted that Muslims were attempting to replace European law with Islamic law. Her (Pamela Geller) message resonated with American Renaissance’s readers. “It won’t be long before Muslims will be voting to end democracy in Europe and replacing it with Islamic law,” wrote one anonymous poster.

Pamela Geller’s work has been particularly popular at the National Policy Institute (NPI), a white nationalist organization that calls itself an “advocacy group for America’s historical majority” — white people. NPI has posted repeatedly about the planned New York center and NPI supporters have signed on to Geller’s message that Islam is bad for the U.S.

Details on the shooter via Atlas Shrugs; - Arizona Shooter Jared Loughner: A Certified Lefty Nut -- His Videos, Favorite Books: Communist Manifesto and Mein Kampf UPDATE: High School Friend Calls Him "Very Lefty" PHOTO - By Pamela Geller.  UPDATE: Shame on those like Arizona State Senator Linda Lopez, who blamed the tea party on FOX news without any basis in concretes or any knowledge of the identity of the gunman. They would never make such a public presumption about jihad or the leftists. Outrageous.  UPDATE: This is Jared's "music video" -- this flag burning madness. This is Jared, dressed as a Muslim [terrorist?], in the video burning the flag. (FOX confirmed this is Jared in the burka-like get-up.)
