Yemen Charges U.S.-Born Radical Cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, al-Awlaki is on CIA Shoot to Kill Hit List Now Add Samir Khan.

SAN'A, Yemen -- Yemen put a U.S.-born radical cleric Anwar al-Awlaki on trial in absentia Tuesday, accusing him and two other men with plotting to kill foreigners and of being members of Al Qaeda.

It was the first formal legal action by Yemen against Anwar al-Awlaki, and came as the country faces heavy pressure to crack down on the terror network following the interception of two mail bombs intercepted in Dubai and Britain last week.

Prosecutor Ali al-Saneaa announced the charges against al-Awlaki as part of a trial against another man, Hisham Assem, who has been charged accused of killing a Frenchman in an Oct. 6 attack at an oil firm's compound where he worked as a security guard.

Assem, 19, was present in court, but al-Awlaki and a third suspect, Osman al-Awlaki, were charged in absentia. The hearing was held amid tight security measures at a courthouse in downtown San'a.

Al-Awlaki, who was born in New Mexico, is based in Yemen. U.S. investigators say e-mails link him to the Army psychiatrist accused of last year's killings at Fort Hood, Texas. They also say that he helped prepare Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, accused in the Christmas airline bombing attempt, and that he had links to the failed Times Square bombing.

The U.S. has put Al-Awlaki, whose English-language sermons advocating jihad, or holy war, have inspired a number of Western-born militants, on a list of militants it wants killed or captured.

Anwar Awlaki, 38, was born in New Mexico and raised as a teen in Yemen. FBI agent Ray Fournier, then a Diplomatic Security Service agent, discovered that he lied about his place of birth on an application for a US Agency for International Development grant, receiving $20,000 a year to attend engineering classes at Colorado State University in the early 1990s. Awlaki turned to radical Islam instead, preaching at mosques in Fort Collins, Colo., and San Diego.

He attracted the FBI’s attention in 1999, because of alleged contact with an al Qaeda agent who bought a satellite phone for Osama bin Laden (Ziyad Khaleel aka Ziyad Sadaqa purchased the phone for bin-Laden, in 1999 his roommate was Muneer Arafat who became the Imam at the Sarasota Fl Mosque in March 2000 just prior to Mohamed Atta ands all showing up in nearby Venice Fl) . But the investigation was closed the next year because of lack of evidence.
We Ran Al-Qaeda Webmaster Samir Khan Out Of Town In Charlotte NC, Now We Need To Add Samir Khan To The CIA Hit LIst For Termination in Yemen.

For over two years I have been actively pursuing Samir Khan, the pro Al-Qaeda webmaster who had been based in Charlotte NC. During that time frame I had filed complaints with the FBI and the IC3 Cyber Crimes unit, Complaint Id: I0902161551432031, making it known that Samir Khan had links to Al-Qaeda and that he had been recruiting and fund raising for Al-Qaeda, nothing happened.

WBTV-3 interview with terrorist Samir KhanPrivate investigator Bill Warner is in Florida studying Jihad-ist websites across the world.  WBTV traveled to Sarasota to interview him because he says Charlotteans need to recognize someone in their backyard is helping the enemy.  “His website is concise. Easy to read. Informative. If you want to be a terrorist, this is where you go,” says Bill Warner. “He’s a great facilitator for Al-Qaeda.”

On July 16th 2008 I came in contact with WBTV-3 Producers and TV anchor person Molly Grantham for the CBS TV affiliate in Charlotte NC and a expose’ was put together on Samir Khan, see “Pro Al-Qaeda Web site Run by a Charlotte Man”.

WBTV-3 in Charlotte put out 3 segments on terror website producer Samir Khan from mid July 2008 to the end of July 2008, during this time period I also contacted the Charlotte NC office of the FBI at 400 S. Tryon Street, Ste. 900, Charlotte, NC 28285, again no action was taken agasint Samir Khan.

The NY Daily News has confirmed that Samir Khan, from Charlotte NC, is now in the Sana Yemen area working for Al-Qaeda and Anwar al-Awlaki and it appears that Samir Khan is now in charge of propaganda putting out the “Inspire Magazine” recruiting terrorists from around the world, what the hell !
Samir Khan must be added to the hit list of the CIA assassination teams in Yemen.
