The Columbian Newspaper runs an attack piece against me (Bill Warner) in May 2008 because I complained about their softball article on the severity of the Somalia website  that is the mouthpiece for the Al-Shabaab linked al-Qaeda group in Somalia espousing Islamic terrorism propaganda daily and run by Omar Hammami from Dapne AL.

Tuesday, May 06, 2008.The Columbian, By COURTNEY SHERWOOD, Columbian staff writer,  ...The Columbian Newspaper Dotster under fire for Web content.” Florida resident Bill Warner, who describes himself as an anti-terrorist vigilante, is among a collection of online activists who want to use public pressure on Dotster to get Al-Shabaab website  shut down.

Al-Shabaab links to Al-Qaeda Were Published Wednesday 5/07/2008 in the Columbian Newspaper, they also published, "The Columbian Newspaper; In our view: Internet censor (Bill Warner), Wednesday, May 07, 2008"

Bill Warner, a Sarasota private investigator ( ), wants Dotster Inc. of Vancouver to refuse service to  . Warner, who has launched similar purge efforts in other cities with other Internet companies, says  supports an al-Qaida organization in Somalia, where war and genocide are tragic facts of daily life.

Dotster representatives could not be reached for comment. The company told the newspaper in Vancouver last year that its passes along all complaints to law enforcement agencies but does not censor customers’ content. “We are not in a position to judge and be a jury on what content may be legal or acceptable,” Brian Unruh, the firm’s chief financial officer, told the Columbian newspaper.

Bill Warner said the al-Shabaab site clearly crossed the line. And while the message was in Somali, he said, a mirror site run by a man in the United Kingdom had an English-language version. “It was blatantly recruiting suicide bombers,” he said.

Bill Warner, an investigator from Sarasota, Fla., who tried to shut down a number of Web sites linked to extremist groups, said he first targeted an al-Shabaab Web site in May 2008 after the U.S. government labeled it a terrorist organization.

Dotster Inc. of Vancouver, Wash., took the Web site down in January, Warner said, after an order from the federal government.  Warner said he has run a detective agency for 15 years and has been trying to shut down terrorist Web sites -- on his own time without pay -- since 2003, more from this source......

It was May 2008 when the Columbian newspaper ran an Op-Ed mentioning Bill Warner, a Sarasota, Florida private investigator’s effort to have Dotster shut down the web site.  Also in May 2008, the Jawa Report wrote of the Columbian’s first article by Courtney Sherwood, referring to Bill Warner’s group as a “group of self-described anti-terrorist vigilantes.”

The Columbian, By COURTNEY SHERWOOD, Columbian staff writer, Tuesday, May 06, 2008.. A group of self-described anti-terrorist vigilantes has put the heat on Vancouver-based Dotster Inc. for hosting an Arabic- and Somali- language Web site that frequently praises leaders in Somalia’s al-Qaida organization.

Dotster officials said they pass along all complaints to law enforcement agencies, but unless required by law, the company does not remove its customers’ content from the Internet. The site under fire, , is associated with the Shabaab movement in war- and genocide-torn Somalia, according to reports from the BBC and Reuters. In addition to praising Islamist militants, the site lists news about battles and bombings in Somalia. “Kataaib” is Arabic for “Brigades.”

Florida resident Bill Warner, who describes himself as an anti-terrorist vigilante, is among a collection of online activists who want to use public pressure on Dotster to get shut down. Dotster, a Web registration and hosting company, generates revenue by hosting Web sites. It has hosted since April 13, 2007, according to Internet records.

“The actual terrorists are out in the field blowing things up,” Warner said. “But there are groups like this one that associate with al-Qaida through Web sites, that help promote the ideology, help find new recruits and help the effort to support terrorism.” more from this source.....
