Dontae Morris shot and killed two Tampa Police officers, Officers David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab, on Tuesday June 29th, 2010 at about 2:15 a.m when Officers Kocab and Curtis pulled over a Red Toyota Camry without plates.

A manhunt began immediately for Dontae Morris and by 1:00 in the afternoon of June 29th, police brought in the driver, Cortnee Brantley, from a tip they received. She was found in the Bristol Bay Apartments. As for Dontae Morris, police have questioned his family and friends, in essence, closing his inner circle as they close in on him.

The shooting of Officers David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab happened at 50th Street and 23rd Avenue Tampa Fl.  The traffic stop initiated at 50th Street South and 34th Ave but the car did not stop until 23rd Ave. This location, South 50th Street is also known as Rte 41 South, it is the cocaine pipeline from Tampa to Riverview, Palmetto, Bradenton and MLK in Sarasota Fl.

FROM THE TAMPA TRIBUNE; One of those recent homicide victims is Harold Wright, of Valrico, and Morris might be linked to that slaying, Gee said today.  Wright, a father of four, was found dead in early June on the side of 51st Street South . He was the victim of "trauma to the upper torso," Hillsborough County sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said last month. Wright was discovered by deputies near a vehicle parked on 51st Street South Tampa Fl which links to 24th Ave. He died en route to Tampa General Hospital, Carter said.

Harold Wright was murdered on 51st Street South Tampa Fl which is just North of Causeway Blvd and officers Officers David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab were murdered at 50th Street South (Rte 41) at 23rd Ave also just North of Causeway Blvd, I am very familiar with the area as I have done surveillance on a used car lot that ships vehicles out of the USA (from the Port of Tampa) near the corner of 50th Street South (Rte 41) and Causeway Blvd for over 8 months last year.

The murders of rappers Tupac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G., and Run DMC's Jam Master Jay have all gone unsolved for similar reasons.

See St Pete Times article today, In the Age of Nowhere to Hide, how can a suspected cop killer disappear?  TAMPA — The most wanted man in Tampa fled Tuesday morning, on foot, into the shadows of a carefully watched, high-tech, modern American city. The clock starts. Three days slide by. The suspected cop killer is still missing, exceedingly rare, and we wonder: In the Age of Nowhere to Hide, in a media-saturated city of 340,882, how can a man just disappear?  "A person can only hide for so long in modern society," said Mayor Pam Iorio, 57 hours after the shooting of two police officers. "We're too connected."  All of us except Dirtbag Dontae Rashawn Morris.

Dirtbag Dontae Rashawn Morris appears to be a member of the "Bloods" gang. The Los Angeles (LA)-based Bloods and Crips are probably the most widely recognized gangs in America due to the media exposure received in the 1980's. These groups have migrated throughout the country and are seen in most states and their prison populations. There are literally hundreds of sets or individual gangs under the main Blood and Crip names. They are no longer racially specific.

In Florida,(Tampa) the presence of the Chicago-based Folk Nation and People Nation is so prevalent, that the Crips and Bloods have developed allies under these alliances. Bloods traditionally align themselves with the People Nation and Crips with the Folk Nation. This alignment may vary for local jurisdictions due to competition for drug territory or violence against one another.

Crip Tattooing, see cross.

These alignments are often communicated in their graffiti.  There are, however, areas of the country where Crips and Folk groups such as the Black Gangster Disciples are in competition for the drug trade and thus, are rivals. This is illustrated in their graffiti by use of the "eight ball." If the "eight ball" is drawn or displayed intact, then the sets are aligned. If it is cracked or drawn through, there is dissension among the groups. The "eight ball" is significant because when you bring the hand sign for the Crips and the 'pitchfork' hand sign together it forms an 8-ball.

Facts - Bloods;  Originated in South California to defend against the Crips. Generally align with People Nation sets.

Identifiers/symbols: the color red, red bandannas or rags, the word "Piru" (the original Blood gang) crossed out "C" in words as disrespect for Crips, other disrespectful anti-Crip graffiti.

Facts - Crips;  Originated in Los Angeles in the late 60s. Migrated throughout the United States, Generally align with Folk Nation sets. Extremely violent, Multiracial.

Identifiers/symbols: the color blue, blue bandannas and rags, use the letter "c" in place of "b" in writing in disrespect for Bloods, calling each other "Cuzz", calling themselves "Blood Killas" (BK) wearing British Knight (BK) tennis shoes.
