Qaeda magazine teaches bomb-making and other useful skills, Yemen-based Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula's "Inspire Magazine" Written by Samir Khan Released Sunday 7/11/2010.

DUBAI — If you have ever wondered how to make a bomb at home, what to pack for jihad, or how to communicate in encrypted messages, a new English-language Al-Qaeda magazine has the answers.  The first edition of Yemen-based Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula's (AQAP) "Inspire magazine" was released on Sunday, according to SITE Intelligence, a US service that monitors Islamist websites. Inspire -- a 67-page publication provided by SITE from jihadist forums that are sometimes password-protected or otherwise difficult to access -- appears to have been designed with care.

The magazine, which is packed with sleek pictures of Al-Qaeda leaders and bright graphics, can also be viewed on the popular online document-sharing websites.   Its cover features an image of a silhouetted man (Samir Khan) with a rifle under the headline "May Our Souls Be Sacrificed For You!," an article attributed to radical US-Yemeni cleric Anwar al-Awlaki.

With article titles such as "Make a Bomb in the Kitchen of Your Mom" by the "The AQ Chef," or a packing list included in "What to Expect in Jihad," parts of the magazine have a friendly, if extremist, scouting manual feel.

But despite its sometimes-friendly tone and snazzy layout, its intent is, very literally, deadly serious. The "Make a Bomb" article notes that a device made in "one or two days could be ready to kill at least ten people," while one made in a month "could kill tens of people."

The article, which addresses "Muslims in America and Europe," then details the construction of an explosive device using sugar, crushed match heads, a pipe, a Christmas tree-type light, a battery and a clock. It includes images of the different steps. The aim, according to "The AQ Chef," is "conveying to you our military training right into your kitchen, to relieve you of the difficulty of travelling to us."

The instructions appear in a section entitled "Open Source Jihad," which is described as "a manual for those who loath the tyrants."  "What to Expect in Jihad" offers advice for those who decide to take the fight abroad. "When coming to any land of jihad, it is important to be able to speak the local language fluently," the article advises, more from this source.....

Other reliable sources have already alluded to the fact that Samir Khan is running the "Inspire magazine" and it does make sense that Samir Kahn would be in Yemen now after we ran him and his Al-Qaeda loving website out of town in Charlotte NC.

“Return of the Blog”; January 5, 2009...Posted by admin in : "News, Videos , trackbackالحمد الله, after a brief halt, our blog has returned. The blog was not shutdown due to any hacks or infiltration or heavy traffic or server reports, rather it was shutdown on our own accord in order that we may move the servers. We apologize for the delay, however the move is successful and this will be permanent, In Sha’ Allah".

The lying enemy of Allah, Bill Warner – may Allah destroy him - claimed that he was the one who shut down our blog. Let this be a testimony that this disbeliever is a liar. May Allah send a hurricane over Bill Warner's house so that he can be wiped out, humiliated.

Inspire appears to be the brainchild of Anwar al-Awlaki, a fugitive US-born radical preacher and key figure in al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula (Aqap), based in Yemen's remote tribal areas – and suggests a drive to recruit terrorists.

Inspire looks similar to Aqap's slick Arabic-language webzine Sada al-Malahim (Echoes of Epic Battles) – and is also published by Malahim Media. It is subtitled: "Inspire the Believers". Its authenticity could not be confirmed, but it was not being treated as a spoof by experts.

It appears to have taken on board cutting-edge thinking about the media, urging readers to submit articles, comments and suggestions. "It is our intent for this magazine to be a platform to present the important issues facing the ummah [Islamic nation] today to the wide and dispersed English-speaking Muslim readership," its unnamed editor promised.

Inspire promotes itself as "the first magazine to be issued by the al-Qaida organisation in the English language", although Jihadi Recollections (by Samir Khan and Yousef Al-Khattab), published in the US last year, was a polished effort.

Awlaki, famous for his online sermons and video messages to Americans – in fluent English – is an official target for assassination by the US government because of his links to Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the Nigerian "underpants bomber" charged with an attack on a Dutch airliner over Detroit last Christmas Day, and to the Times Square bomber, Faisal Shahzad.

Other foreigners (Samir Khan) are said to have joined Aqap after studying Arabic in the Yemeni capital, Sana'a. "This magazine is clearly intended for the aspiring jihadist in the US or UK who may be the next Fort Hood murderer or Times Square bomber," said Bruce Riedel, a former CIA officer now with the Brookings Institution in Washington.

Yemen expert Gregory Johnsen said: "The idea is that Aqap can reach, influence and inspire other like-minded individuals in the west. No longer do these individuals need to travel to Yemen or read Arabic in order to take instructions from Aqap. Now they can just download and read the magazine in English." more from this source....
