Ohio Convert Rifqa Bary's Lawyer Charged Over Records Filing, Attorney Angela Lloyd Faces Two Misdemeanor Charges And Has pled Not Guility.

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A lawyer has pleaded not guilty to charges she illegally disclosed confidential information regarding a teenage girl who converted to Christianity and ran away from her Ohio home.

Attorney Angela Lloyd entered the pleas Tuesday in Franklin County juvenile court after a magistrate approved bringing two misdemeanor charges. Lloyd is accused of placing confidential child welfare reports into the public file of 17-year-old client Rifqa Bary (RIHF'-kuh BAYR'-ee), making them accessible to the media.

Bary fled central Ohio last year to stay with an Orlando, Fla., minister. She said she'd be harmed for converting from Islam. Rifqa Bary has returned to Ohio, where her parents deny allegations she would've been hurt.  Lloyd's attorney, Jefferson Liston, says he doesn't believe Lloyd broke the law.

In July 2009, Rifqa Bary ran away and moved in with two pastors -- a married couple -- in Orlando, Fla., whom she had met on the Internet. Rifqa said her father, Mohamed Bary, had threatened to kill her for leaving Islam -- the family religion -- for Christianity, no threat was ever discovered by law enforcement in Florida or Ohio.

Authorities in Florida and Ohio could find no credible threat to her safety, and Rifqa Bary was returned to Franklin County on Oct. 27 2009 and has been living in a foster home. Rifqa Bary, the teenage runaway, intends to be a journalist and blogged frequently on her Facebook page she also became “involved” with extreme right wing bikini blogger Pamela Geller who appears to be a graduate of the “University of Mars” with Otis Sistrunk.
