Private Investigator Bill Warner’s segment followed Lieutenant General Ricardo S. Sanchez, he was the highest-ranking Hispanic in the United States Army when he retired on November 1, 2006. At the time of his retirement, Lieutenant General Sanchez called his career a casualty of the Abu Ghraib scandal. After the Lieutenant General Ricardo S. Sanchez segment a guy by the name of Robert Spenser came on and then Private Investigator Bill Warner’s segment.
Upon his retirement in Southern California, Colonel Ray became active in veterans affairs and was the keynote speaker for several large Memorial Day and Veterans Day Celebrations and also hosted a local daily radio talk show that covered a variety of topics from the War in Iraq and Afghanistan to local, state and national politics. In early 2008 Colonel Ray moved to the Rio Grande Valley and is new to the valley but not to Texas where he spent over ten years in San Antonio, El Paso and Corpus Christi. Immediately upon moving here, he again became involved in local veterans affairs and then joined KURV as a frequent guest host and military analyst.Colonel Ray says he and his wife, chose the Valley as the place they wanted to live.
