Yasser Mohamed Shahade, 35, a prayer leader, holy man, who had been in the country for about two months is from Egypt and had been staying at the mosque, he sexually battered the victim about 6 a.m. Sunday morning, police say.

He served as an imam in Egypt and became an inspector in the ministry of Islamic Affairs, according to the Tampa mosque's Web site.

Some Notable persons associated with the University of Al Azhar, Cairo Egypt, and known Leaders of Terrorism are listed below, why do they always end up in Tampa; 1950s
1). Hassan al-Banna, founder of the Muslim Brotherhood (he graduated from Darul 'Uloom which is an affiliate of Cairo University)
2). Omar Abdel Rahman, leader of Al-Gama'a al-Islamiyya currently in USA Super Max Prison for 1993 NYC bomb plot.
3). Taqiuddin al-Nabhani, an eventual Wahabi, Islamic jurist, theologian, and founder of Hizb ut-Tahrir radical Muslim organization.

Former University of South Florida student Ahmed Mohamed has agreed to plead guilty to providing material support to terrorists, according to a signed 12-page plea agreement entered onto the docket in U.S. District Court. Mohamed, an Egyptian citizen, was arrested, along with another student, Youssef Megahed, near Goose Creek, South Carolina on August 4, 2007 in possession of explosive materials and a destructive device.Muhammad Shahade, 45, was the head of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) in Bethlehem, he was killed by the IDF and Border Police Special Forces in March 2008, Muhammad Shahade was involved in several terrorist attacks in which many Israeli civilians were wounded and killed, see list below, I have not found the direct link between Tampa Muslim Imam, Yasser Mohamed Shahade and Muhammad Shahade, 45, the head of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad , as of yet:
2 Nov 2000 - The car bombing on Shomron Street near the Mahane Yehuda market in Jerusalem which killed two civilians.
27 Mar 2001 - The car bombing in the Talpiyot neighborhood in Jerusalem in which 5 civilians were wounded.
5 Dec 2001 - The suicide bombing attack at the Hilton Hotel in Jerusalem in which 6 civilians were wounded.

1 Apr 2002 - The shooting attack in the Har Homa neighborhood in Jerusalem in which an IDF soldier was killed.

The three other wanted terrorists, Ahmed Khalil Salem Balbul, 48, Imad Hasin Mahmud Kamil, 35, and Isa Marzuka Saleh Zuhara, 36, were a part of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad leadership in Bethlehem and were also involved in extensive terrorist activity from the beginning of the Intifada. Muhammad Shahade and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Bethlehem were in direct contact with the Islamic Jihad leadership in Syria, which is run by Ramadan Abdullah Shallah a former Tampa Fl resident and FBI most wanted terrorist, from who Muhammad Shahade received operational orders. Ramadan Abdullah Shallah earned a PhD in Banking and Economics from a university in England. In the past, Shallah has worked as a university professor in several countries and has ties to Tampa, Florida; the Gaza Strip; Egypt; and London, England. I'm sure it is all just one big Tampa coincidence !
