President-elect Barack Obama has decided to retain the Bush administration's secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, in his current position, at least for a year.
According to a report just posted on FoxNews.com, Gates' reappointment as Defense secretary will come next week as part of the overall announcements of Obama's national security team, presumably including Sen. Hillary Clinton as secretary of State. And retired Marine Gen. Jim Jones as national security adviser.
There is still a cloud of darkness over the association of Barack Obama with William "Bill" Ayers and his wife Bernardine Dohrn, who were responsible for a reign of terror in the USA from 1968 to 1981. William "Bill" Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn were the leaders of the Weather Underground and involved with the domestic terrorists groups nationwide bombings, bank robberies and cop killings. Let's hope President Barack Obama's reign from 2009 to 2012 is successful.
