ACTUAL VALIDATION OF THE ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE, FROM HAWAII, OF SEN. BARACK HUSEIN OBAMA, APPEARS TO BE LEGIT. The truth about Obama's birth certificate. Click on any of the images to enlarge the document.

I am a person who works with facts, legal documents, paper trails of all kinds and most recently had reason to request my own birth certificate to obtain a U.S. Passport. The following information is not a personal endorsement of Sen. Barack Husein Obama or the Democratic Party as I still have other questions that have not been answered about Sen. Obama and his connections, but the information that has been revealed concerning the Obama birth certificate makes it appears that he was born in the USA.....CLICK IMAGES TO ENLARGE

The process to obtain a birth certificate from New York State where I originate, and the process to obtain a birth certificate from the State of Hawaii (The Hawaii Department of Health's birth record request form does not give the option to request a photocopy of your long-form birth certificate, neither does New York State) appear to be the same and the finished product that I received from New York State and the one depicted by the FactCheck representatives who examined the birth certificate obtained in 2007 from the State of Hawaii of Sen Barack Husein Obama, from Hawaii, appears to be identical.

Both Birth Certificates, New York State and Hawaii, are short forms and to the point, there is no indication on mine or Sen Barack Husein Obama's as to where the birth took place (what Hospital), father and mother are both listed, date of the birth, raised seal and signed by an official with the Department of Health. I have obtained all types of information on individuals, including hospital records even hospital records from ohter countries, but I have no idea on how to obtain a long form - live birth from a Hospital (that depicts more details) or even if such records are still kept after 45 + years and thousands of births (no computers back then). is run by The Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania "performs research in the fields of political communication, information and society, media and the developing child, health communication and adolescent risk". The Policy Center's goal is to provide expert analysis that brings these issues into focus.

Factcheck has run articles concerning both Presidential candidiates see following; "According to this fundraising pitch, the DNC plans a massive advertising campaign that will give voters what we judge to be a distorted picture of Arizona Sen. John McCain's positions". The mass e-mail was sent out to the party faithful Feb. 6, the day after McCain emerged from Super Tuesday as the clear front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination, and even before former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney suspended his run for the GOP nomination. The subject of the DNC e-mail: "How we'll beat John McCain."

Recently FactCheck representatives got a chance to spend some time with the Obama birth certificate, and we can attest to the fact that it is real and three-dimensional and resides at the Obama headquarters in Chicago. We can assure readers that the certificate does bear a raised seal, and that it's stamped on the back by Hawaii state registrar Alvin T. Onaka (who uses a signature stamp rather than signing individual birth certificates). We even brought home a few photographs. The document we looked at did have a certificate number;
it is 151 1961 - 010641.

The certificate has all the elements the State Department requires for proving citizenship to obtain a U.S. passport: "your full name, the full name of your parent(s), date and place of birth, sex, date the birth record was filed, and the seal or other certification of the official custodian of such records." The names, date and place of birth, and filing date are all evident on the scanned version, and you can see the seal above.

The document is a "certification of birth," also known as a short-form birth certificate. The long form is drawn up by the hospital and includes additional information such as birth weight and parents' hometowns. The short form is printed by the state and draws from a database with fewer details. The Hawaii Department of Health's
birth record request form does not give the option to request a photocopy of your long-form birth certificate, but their short form has enough information to be acceptable to the State Department. We tried to ask the Hawaii DOH why they only offer the short form, among other questions, but they have not given a response. (the short form is all that is required for identification and for a US Passport)

Some of the conspiracy theories that have circulated about Obama are quite imaginative. One conservative blogger suggested that the campaign might have obtained a valid Hawaii birth certificate, soaked it in solvent, then reprinted it with Obama's information. Of course, this anonymous blogger didn't have access to the actual document and presents this as just one possible "scenario" without any evidence that such a thing actually happened or is even feasible.

It appears that certain bloggers are "Doing The Autopsy Without The Body", trying to disprove a legal document from a copy obtained on-line and printed out on regular bond paper, are you kidding me, that sure ain't CSI !
