'60s leftist terrorist William Ayers: Time for GOP to get over it; The man the GOP loves to hate tiptoed out of hiding Sunday - if only to blast (how appropriate) Fox News and the rest of the media for his predicament.

Bill Ayers arriving at a meeting on the West Side of Manhattan Sunday, just a few blocks North of the "Bomb Factory Explosion in Greenwich Village", wearing a shirt reading, 'This is Ridiculous", Terrorist Ayers To GOP: Get Over It ! Just because I blew upsome buildings in NYC, no big deal, it was the 60's, ''I don't regret setting bombs,'' Bill Ayers said. ''I feel we didn't do enough.'' Mr. Ayers !

William Ayers, the '60s radical who is one of John McCain's talking points in his criticism of Barack Obama, told a Manhattan panel discussion audience he was tired of being used as cannon fodder in America's political wars.

Bill Ayers, as a leader of the "Weather Underground Group" participated in the following New York City bombings and he says "Get Over It" , he needs to pull on a "I Love NY" tee.

1). Bombed New York City Police Headquarters June 9th 1970, (NYPD HQ 240 Centre St., between Broome and Grand Sts., Little Italy until 1973),

2). February 21, 197- gasoline-filled molotov cocktails were thrown at the home of New York State Supreme Court Justice Murtagh. The son of Justice Murtagh claims that the Weatherman were responsible for the attempted arson, based on a letter promising more bombings sent by Bernadine Dohrn (Bill Ayers wife) to the Associated Press in late November, 1970.

3). 6 March 1970 — "bomb factory" located in the Sub-basement furnace room at 18 West 11th Street in New York's Greenwich Village accidentally explodes. WUO members die . The bomb was intended to be planted at a non-commissioned officer's dance at Fort Dix, New Jersey. The bomb was packed with nails TO INFILICT MAXIMUM CASUALTIES UPON DETONATION — An initial search after the bomb blast turned up a 1916 37-mm. antitank shell. In the following days, a brick-by-brick search of the rubble uncovered 57 sticks of dynamite, four 12-inch (300 mm) pipe bombs packed with dynamite, and 30 blasting caps. The pipe bombs and several eight-stick packages of dynamite had fuses already attached. Also found were timing devices rigged from alarm clocks, maps of the tunnel network underneath Columbia University, and literature of the political protest organization, Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), from which the Weatherman organization had split off.

5). 10 October 1970 -Bombing of the 103rd Police Precinct in New York, 168-02 P.O. Edward Byrne Ave., Queens, NY.

6). 28 September 1973 — Bombing of ITT headquarters, 1330 Avenue of the Americas in New York City, New York . [NYT, 9/28/73]

7). 16 June 1975 — Bombing of Banco de Ponce (a Puerto Rican bank) in New York . 1981 "Guilty as hell. Free as a bird. America is a great country," Ayers said when interviewed by David Horowitz.

"[Fox host] Bill O'Reilly comes on his show and first thing he says is, 'Why won't this Ayers story die?'" Ayers told well-wishers. "And then he spends 10 minutes talking about it." Ayers, a University of Illinois education professor in Chicago, has mostly kept a low profile since McCain started using him as a poster boy for Obama's supposed left-wing leanings. He kept quiet as Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin accused Obama of "palling around with terrorists," a dig at the fact that Ayers and Obama once served on a charity board together.

See my prior post, Ayers and Obama much more that serving on a charity board, Sunday, October 19, 2008, BARACK OBAMA, BILL AYERS AND BERNARDINE DOHRN, THE EARLY YEARS 1981 TO 1984 IN NEW YORK CITY & 1987 TO 1988 IN CHICAGO.

The press was barred from the discussion yesterday at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, 31 West 27th Street Third Floor New York, NY, near Gramercy Park, but a Daily News reporter managed to get inside. The former member of the Weather Underground beamed at the attention paid by the audience of about 60 people, many of whom were decked out in Obama gear.

The crowd gave Ayers a warm welcome, guffawed at jokes about "redistributing the wealth" and nodded at his complaints about the "Republican revolution." After the talk was over, event organizers attempted to sneak Ayers out a back door to avoid the media. Waiting reporters gave chase, but Ayers sputtered, "No comment," and darted into a cab.

National Lawyers Guild (NLG) National Organizers Ken Cloke and Bernardine Dohrn (Bill Ayers wife) participated in planning sessions, along with NLG staffers such as Dana Biberman, herself becoming a leading Weather Underground member, and Alicia Kaplow. Bernaedine Dohrn, a law school graduate, and Cloke recruited radicalized law students, many of them former SDS members in New york City, into the NLG. And a number of these NLG law students, including Eleanor Stein Raskin, joined the terrorist underground as fugitives.

Weather Underground founder and former NLG staffer Bernadine Dohrn stated in 1998 that the Guild "continues to thrive by embracing a huge array of social issues. Bernardine Dohrn (Bil Ayres wife) initially moved to New York City in 1969 to work for the National Lawyers Guild, an organization with which the Weather Underground and the Prairie Fire Organizing Committee worked very closely with in the following years. Weather Underground, a group that employed the anti-personnel bomb-making talents—or lack thereof—had as the lead defense in the case of terrorist Kathy Boudin, prominent "Guild" member Leonard Boudin (her father), Kathy Boudin received a 20-years-to-life sentence for her role in the 1981 Weatherman Nyack, New York Brinks robbery-murders.
